- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -2/+31MrJ777, why don't you use the reply feature?
- timothy53, on 11/14/2008, -2/+25logmein.com, log into my home comp, visit all sites
- jimdig33, on 11/14/2008, -0/+22As a 'Corporate IT' worker I can tell you without a doubt that the chances of a computer being rendered useless go up with the amount of permissions a user is granted. Hooray for you if you are an exception, you can thank the other 95% of the workforce for messing it up for you.
- cubicledrone, on 11/14/2008, -2/+15Corporate IT: Our job is to make sure you can't use your computer. At all.
- mortigon, on 11/14/2008, -1/+13Our job is to keep you working, actually.
- luke16, on 11/14/2008, -1/+12This is your boss. Get back to work.
- revmhatt, on 11/14/2008, -1/+11I find that waiting for digg effected web pages to load is the way I mostly procrastinate.

Subject: Bandwidth Usage Warning. - heysuburbia, on 11/14/2008, -0/+9I made a chat client about 4 years ago that masks itself as a photoshop window and reverts back to normal when you hit the "lock" button:
http://www.basicfunction.com/html/2005/02/08/basic ... - sexybobo, on 11/14/2008, -0/+9Just set up an ssh tunnel and redirect all your web traffic to your home computer. not something the average passerby would notice and uses a lot less bandwidth then logmein
Also does any one remember the webproxy that looked like a word document? - uptwolait, on 11/14/2008, -0/+8What the hell are YOU doing on Digg during business hours?
- RSS14, on 11/14/2008, -2/+10logmein.com makes amazing products.
I love Hamachi. - revmhatt, on 11/14/2008, -0/+7Dammit! I manage to look diggnorant once again!
- MCMLXXXII, on 11/14/2008, -0/+7Going to skip lunch?
- Leviathan433, on 11/14/2008, -1/+8I can't wait to getting around to reading this article
- Maddman, on 11/14/2008, -2/+8Anything good on here? My company firewall blocks the site :)
- tgc1, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6Then you'll get no work done at all. Trust me.
- zooey1234, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6This looks like some Chinese noodle site.
- Zzone, on 11/14/2008, -0/+5cubicledrone needs to get some pussy instead of worrying about getting root.
- JoeBenjamin, on 11/14/2008, -0/+5Google Web Kit?
http://www.google.com/gwt/n
It strips webpages down to just text and, if you choose, tiny-fied images. It's meant for browsing on cellphones but works great as a quasi-proxy and time waster at work. - cubicledrone, on 11/14/2008, -1/+6That's why all the smart people quit their ***** corporate jobs, and why corporate employees can't find their own ass in a 3x3 closet.
- Stingr, on 11/14/2008, -0/+5@cubicledrone
Before moving into network security I was a help desk manager for close to five years and I can tell you that the most frequent abusers of corporate assets are developers. I've seen it all from spyware and virus infested machines to gigabytes of illegally downloaded movies stored on a company owned laptop all thanks to the development staff. So yes I say no one gets admin rights. There's just no need for it on a work computer. - euphoria860, on 11/14/2008, -0/+5you used the wrong punctuation?
did you mean to do that! - vardhaman2249, on 11/14/2008, -1/+5these sites can be pretty funny even if you are not at work.
- Trini2daBone, on 11/14/2008, -0/+4http://www.workfriendly.net/
- sammyc53, on 11/14/2008, -0/+4They block port 443? The standard channel for HTTPS/SSL? Highly doubt it... Perhaps they block the IPs or DNS the logmein network uses...
- billkeil, on 11/14/2008, -0/+4Just put Ghostzilla on a usb stick and surf in any window. Word, Excel, whatever!
- GabeGrimes, on 11/14/2008, -0/+4It's cool site. I don't condone procrastination. I think it's an expression of fear. But the techie side is really cool.
- 800266622, on 11/14/2008, -1/+5haha digg AFFECTED the website with the digg effect, understand?
- maximilen, on 11/14/2008, -3/+6Digg.

- unrealmp3, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2GhostZilla was an awesome software, while it was still maintained.
- ozziek, on 11/14/2008, -1/+3Employee : Our job is to give you a job where you can dick about all day and get paid for it.
- kthxbai85, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2The whole 'Read at work' thing would be better if there would be a bit more variety in the things they choose for you to read.
- alexcroox, on 11/14/2008, -1/+3I wouldn't call staring at a blank screen procrastinating
- tristanx, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2Logmein didn't make Hamachi, they bought it.
- specialK16, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2@sexy: Turns out you've only met retarded programmers then.
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -1/+3sexybobo, I'm sorry you've had crappy experience with "programmers." They don't sound at all like the technophiles I tend to work with. I'm an App. Architect, and I tend to end up telling the noob IT guys how to do their job.
Were these people "HTML programmers" or "Web programmers" by any chance? Cause that doesn't count as being a real developer :P - layzice, on 11/15/2008, -1/+3Nope, he's at home and has ***** to do, he'll wait until he's at work and has time to spare.
- peaceninja, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1maybe this is why our economy is failing...? sorry i guess having a job where i bill clients and also where i get hardly any hours for each client makes me antagonistic to jobs where people have too much free time
