- radicaldementia, on 12/20/2007, -8/+30Am I the only person who still gets royally pissed off every time I hear the word "blog"?
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -4/+11Lol, I thought I was the only one! I just hate that word. Vlog is even worse. It's the new blog.
- lorductape, on 12/20/2007, -2/+8way to differentiate your blog from the croud: delete it.
- kahrn, on 12/20/2007, -0/+6I don't get pissed off at all. New words come and go, and some stay. Looks like it's here to stay now so you might as well accept it.
- catfish182, on 12/20/2007, -1/+6this is what i did for my blog.
I wanted to effect a change and make people happy.
So i took it off line.
the world was right once again - BoneheadFarker, on 12/20/2007, -1/+518. Make sure you format all your posts as numbered lists.
- sdcarter, on 12/20/2007, -1/+5I was going to type up a nice response; but then a reminder from my iCal told me it was time to attend another webinar.
combi-words are even more annoying than people who can't ambi-turn - proverb, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4If I do all of this, and then everyone else does won't it be pointless in the end??
- willis77, on 12/20/2007, -0/+4I will post a link to my blog, but only to mock people who, much like you, try to be funny but fail along the way. "This one will for anyone who cares." This is not a sentence, or even a coherent thought. Neither is "Which probably isn't you." I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.
http://wcuk.wordpress.com/2007/09/21/your-not-funn ... - kentdoggydog, on 12/20/2007, -1/+4Didn't these used to be called web sites?
- thejerm, on 12/20/2007, -5/+816. Reliable host
17. Publishing system other than wordpress - kupa, on 12/20/2007, -0/+3Don't get the hate for blogs. Yeah it's a stupid term and stuff, but if I could "blog" and make a few thousand a month by doing nothing more then rambling on about stuff, I'd be thrilled. Seriously, who else wouldn't?
"Delete it" - That's SO funny. No really, I mean, it truly is hilarious. I'm sure all those people who blog for a living and make some absurd amount of money from it are just kicking themselves in the ass!
Seriously, wtf. - meruru, on 12/20/2007, -4/+7It's worse when it's used as a verb. "Blogged", "blogging", etc should never be used.
- Etherium, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2No it doesn't.
- Sinudeity, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2Yeah, whats with all the blog hate? Dont you dig so much information at your disposal?
Anyones thoughts on Any topic, right at your fingertips. Even Africans with a cellphone, and
everyone has a cellphone here, can give their point of view on current topics. - undetected, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2They used to be called personal homepages.
- Vician, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2On the other hand, North x East isn't the blog he was referring to nor does the person actually write for them... Rather, it's one of those guest post deals. Leo writes Zen Habits, which he mentions, and it's rather well known and captures the idea he was going for with it.
- aladrin, on 12/20/2007, -0/+2Short form: Write your blog as if you're doing professional journalism.
- sadomatic, on 12/20/2007, -1/+3Blogs allow every person to have a voice, but what does this result in?
That's right, a sea of worthless noise. - borchard76, on 12/20/2007, -2/+4I don't have a blog. I have a website. I don't care if you ever see it. It's not for you anyway. It's for me. It is a vanity site, and I know it. I like it so much I'm getting another one. This one will for anyone who cares. Which probably isn't you. It isn't ready, so no, I'm not posting it.
Quick, everyone who has a blog, please post it so I can add that domain to my blocked list. - webduck, on 12/21/2007, -0/+1I wonder how much time is spent trashing other people's blogs rather than doing something constructive for society. What have you done to make the world a better place?
- undetected, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1Ahh, I see what you're doing here. By spreading that thought around, everyone else will back off and you'll be the only one doing it.
- webduck, on 12/21/2007, -0/+1Perhaps blogs are to websites as apartments are to condos?
- CrackWilding, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1This is the longest tautology I've ever seen. Shortest version: make your blog good by making it good.
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1You didn't realiez that people in general were anti-blog? If you ar a blogger, how can you NOT know that the vast majority of the country/world laughs at you?
- vofuse, on 12/20/2007, -2/+3lol, blogs
- webduck, on 12/21/2007, -0/+1Kathryn, I suspect that these very people who like to trash blogs, etc., have little or no spelling ability, very little imagination, and have nothing better to do than leave nasty comments on Digg and blogs to make themselves feel important. Consequently, they make themselves look foolish and dumb. I am glad they don't blog. They have nothing of any worth to say, obviously.
- Korde, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1blogs = teh g4y
- bxblox, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1Not a crusade, just a dislike. Theyre like opinion spam...
- ThomasPalmer, on 12/21/2007, -0/+1I know, people think I am crazy when I tell them about my personal website and how it is NOT a blog.
- tlgjames, on 12/20/2007, -1/+2Who gives a crap about the 99% of the bloggers opinion's. At least they don't waste as much space as "vlogs" do.
- diggdowner, on 12/20/2007, -0/+1Why the hell should you get pissed off? kahrn was right... new words pop up all the time.
Linguists seem to love this. Economy of language and all that... - inactive, on 12/20/2007, -1/+2If this was written by the zenhabits guy, the only way he needs to list is "Pay a bunch of people to submit and digg your crappy stories to the front page of Digg. Tell them to use multiple accounts and digg regardles of how moronic your article is."
- KathrynMilette, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1whoa...didn't realize there was such an anti blog crusade out there. It is very easy to be rude when you interact with someone on the web. Doesn't mean you have to be rude just because its easy. But I'm new to Digg, and I hear its the comments that make this site interesting...I can see why.
- bxblox, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1i hate blogs...
- BurnTees, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1dugg for zoolander
- tlgjames, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1There's a top 100 blogger? There are over 100 people who read this *****?
- folsomfella, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1I have a blog. If you read it you'll get a free virus
- aliguana, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1signal to noise isn't very big. It's like back in 97 - 8 out of ten personal websites were: "My Cat", "My Hamster Cam" etc. Same authors, different *****.
- lover2ed, on 01/28/2009, -0/+0Learn how to start a blog and make a profitable business out of it in 7 easy steps!
http://Digg.com/world_news/How_to_start_a_blog_22 - Testiculese, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1I've the best way. Shoot yourself.
- inactive, on 12/20/2007, -0/+0This is the classic problem that occurs in tendering shares for buyouts/takeovers
- BoneheadFarker, on 12/20/2007, -2/+2I don't know...Vlog has a nice ring to it, in an impaler sort of way.
- fant0m, on 12/20/2007, -3/+3Well now that it's on Digg a new way to differentiate you blog will have to be created
- bulletproofbra, on 12/20/2007, -1/+1"Mmm! This chocolate is so good, I'm-a gonna BLOG it!".
"That is IT missy! To your room, and FYI? You're getting BLOGGED tonight!".
"For the love of... How long are you going to be in that bathroom, what are you doing in there?!" "Erm, um, er... BLOGGING?".
.
But I'd still take it any day of the week over "podcast". Oooh, just the thought of that word. - mikehill33, on 12/20/2007, -4/+3Top 100 Where? Buried as lame for Blog Spam.
- ghdave, on 12/20/2007, -2/+1I will reply to your comment, but only to mock people who, much like you, use too many commas, instead of breaking up your sentence, while ironically mocking someone else's grammar, and quoting an Adam Sandler movie, and blog-spamming. I award you the Golden Douche.
- forumreader, on 12/20/2007, -2/+117.2 Make sure your blog is never up for more than 5 minutes when it reaches peak demand. Keep them looking!
- BoneheadFarker, on 12/20/2007, -1/+0For every blogger who makes absurd amounts of money, there are 100 who are just as good but make nothing. For every blogger who is actually worth the time to read, there are 1000 who merely copy and paste rather then spend time writing something creative. Most blogs simply aren't worth reading and should be deleted.
