- Rizoh, on 07/08/2008, -4/+92I'm definitely feeling PicLens.
- agisten, on 07/08/2008, -5/+55PinLens is freaking amazing
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+33mirror...
http://www.duggmirror.com/tech_news/11_Powerful_Fi ... - alen3K, on 07/08/2008, -1/+28The Pencil project is pretty nice.
- muleskinner, on 07/08/2008, -2/+27I like pic lens, although after browsing porn with it for a few minutes It started to make me a little nauseous (the 3d *****, not the porn).
- MWeather, on 07/08/2008, -13/+34Did they seriously call Dreamweaver an IDE?
- ctenn2ls, on 07/08/2008, -0/+17FireFTP is definitely my favorite to use, and fits right inside its own tab.
- madeingermany, on 07/08/2008, -1/+15That's why everybody can install just the extensions they need.
- HigherLogic, on 07/08/2008, -0/+14There's nothing wrong with the code view of Dreamweaver...it's also nice having the built-in FTP application in there to store all your sites' login details and information. Not to mention the sitewide find-and-replace (with regex support).
- shamanking911, on 07/08/2008, -2/+15PicLens should support more sites =(
- ezmac, on 07/08/2008, -3/+15wtf?
- JeffMaster, on 07/08/2008, -0/+9PicLens NEEDS to have support for saving pictures locally!
- Pzycho, on 07/09/2008, -0/+8Wow, duggmirror actually caught something... weird.
- thebza451, on 07/08/2008, -6/+14i think piclens is kind of stupid, like... what's the point of it other than making it harder to right click and save a picture?
- danomagnum, on 07/09/2008, -0/+7It's really professional looking... Does this company just make it out of the goodness of their heart?
- morninglorii, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7Yeah because you'd spend the entire thing waiting for it to boot up.
- silver26, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7Agreed, FireFTP is now my main FTP client.
- logdesigner, on 07/09/2008, -0/+6Yeah, I have use PicLens for a while now. It is one of my favorites.
- LordofChaosIori, on 07/09/2008, -0/+5it gives you a link to the direct image so you can do that yourself.
- eggnock, on 07/08/2008, -5/+10It's cool and all but is it really necessary to have everything in one application? Isn't that the reason Firefox was created, to get away from the Netscape bloat?
- Stwo, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Useless for end -users other than picLens
- BenjaminsDiggs, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Got turned onto PicLens today. One of the easiest ways to sort quickly through pictures.
- cldershem, on 07/08/2008, -1/+5so much for getting excited about piclens, apparently FF3 on linux is unsupported.
- ScottoGato, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4I had to keep my FF2 around while FF3 was in beta and RCs because there wasn't an update to have FireFTP. Once FF3 was released, FireFTP was updated that same day and worked perfectly.
- newnetmp3, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Am I the only one having issues with the sound either not working or stuttering on nearly every video clip? i will go to the support section if they have one, just curious if i'm the only one.
- NinjaPirateDude, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3it's kinda like photosynth.
- IRoaChI, on 07/09/2008, -1/+4This has been out for a while and getting better ever week. I have been impressed with the You-Tube video addition.
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3That is a little spooky...
- dotorg, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3Its not an issue of PicLens supporting more sites, its an issue of sites supporting PicLens.
I converted several of my gallery and blog sites over to support it, and it wasn't a trivial or small amount of work. - ydt89, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3Use it for porn! :D
- HHP2K, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2The ChatZilla install link there tries to install a version that isn't compatible with 3.0. Wtf?
- bangusmaxus, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2A couple of nice little adds there that will increase productivity
- mattycoze, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2The graphing application is cool, more applications should have this feature built into them - like MSN & chat applications (whenever you feel like blasting the recipient away with math and trig.functions).
- changyang1230, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2No, they partner with Amazon etc. Guess that's the business model.
- known, on 07/09/2008, -1/+3Not available for Ubuntu!
- KaJuN4, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1GIMP to the rescue!!
- theword12, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Do you know what the word "many" means? (Hint: It doesn't mean "all")
- p3ngwin, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2the point is that most people spend the majority of the time VIEWING pictures instead of saving g them. so piclense is a success because it allows incredible speed of enjoying VIEWING pictures in an intuitive interface.
- S68x, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1...if you pirate them.
Have a look at Adobe's store. You call $599 or however much Photoshop is free? - Atomic1fire, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2its up again
- bmac12, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2To each their own, but I use Access to mock up forms (Windows or web). Pencil project has immediate limitations if you're doing mock ups regularly. Naturally that doesn't help you if you're not using Windows, but like I said, to each their own...
- Atomic1fire, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1And Paint.net
And any online image editor out there
including pheonix (a.viary.com) - kilps, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1actually that would be really cool - it is such a mission trying to talk about graphs when preparing for exams over msn ...
- Atomic1fire, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Not plug-ins
E-X-T-E-N-S-I-O-N-S
The difference
Most if not all firefox plugins work on any other netscape compatible browsers
firefox extensions only work for firefox
these are all extensions
Not plugins
Plugins are rendered in a webpage as an object (except for pdf as far as I know)
Extensions are not - jchrome, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Wow, that is sweet. I particularly like the lite version they have for 'webmasters' - found they already have a Drupal module for it too (of course!)
http://drupal.org/project/piclens - SteelGator, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1From the developer's site...
Try this version: http://chatzilla.hacksrus.com/xpi/chatzilla-0.9.83 ... - Atomic1fire, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1close enough
http://www.assembla.com/spaces/firefox-desktop/doc ...
its made by the simplemail guy
who also made fast dial (the predecessor of ff desktop) - XxDohxX, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Yeah, I kept my FF2 around as well while FF3 was in beta.
It was very upsetting that FireFTP didn't update then.
Thank god they did once FF3 was out. - Atomic1fire, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1what better way to keep it simple then Not depend on a bunch of separate bigger applications
Simplemail uses firefox for rendering and uses sqlite for database stuff which means its going to be smaller then a fullscale email client
and Im sure that the other extensions would be smaller then the software they go against as firefox is the base and everything they need is allready there -
