Isn't flex a web development platform? And Isn't AIR a desktop based, cross platform, web app development environment? (meaning web apps that run from your desktop)

Just when I was losing all hope for Digg. - larthallor, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1What you are missing is that you just declare the entities, relationships, and workflows and the Iceberg runtime takes care of the rest. There is no (user editable) code, per se.
There are an awful lot of small, data-centric business apps that usually require a lot of repetitive logic and UI code to get off the ground. Iceberg eliminates that. If you tell it what the objects are, how the relate to each other, and the logical workflow of your app, it knows enough to present and persist your data.
The advantage of a system like this to a programmer is that you just need to know how the system is supposed to work without having to do the work.
