- SudhakarJaani, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Really kewl list.
I never knew about wordpress, blogger, gmail, hotmail, yahoo mail, aim, yahoo messenger, aim, gtalk, dreamweaver, adobe reader, microsoft word, google reader, digg, facebook.
Thank you so much for the great list1!! Awezome list1!!! - RationalAntaxia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16How can 101 things be "essential"?
- coit, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Wow, blogging must be hard if there are 101 "essential" resources needed just to do it.
- detrate, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6What a craptacular list. Innaccurate too! Adobe starting at $199? Please, that's for the UPGRADE!
- slapthemonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5As you said, most of them are geared toward newer bloggers, thanks for the list.
- sockpuppets, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4The Warez Edition™ is substantially cheaper.
- flashden, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7I never get tired of resource lists, I can't believe I used to have to find everything myself once upon a time :-)
- WITFITS, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The 101 is a little misleading, since most of the things in the list are redundant (you wouldn't use all of those blog hosting services or e-mail clients at one time, for instance) but it's still an excellent list, particularly for those who are interested in starting to blog or who have just recently gotten into it.
- kazersoza, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Is the act of Blogging even essential .. at lest for 99% of us it's not.
- QuickFix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2it can never hurt to have lists like this... bookmarked.
- adnan278, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Lol - thanks for your comments guys, even if you didn't like the article - this definitely isn't (or wasn't supposed to be) blog spam. If someone gave me these as a newbie blogger I would have been really grateful for it, but I can understand if you just hate blogging :)
Sorry for the wrong pricing of Photoshop, its been changed to $649 (stupid error), and Thunderbird has been added! - rswelling, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2#1 resource probably SHOULD be...a brain and something interesting to say.
- gasxtreme, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I use namecheap a bunch, no complaints at all.... Everything is very straightforward and easy to use.... Very reliable as well :) I originally started using it because they accepted paypal when Godaddy didn't, and I really don't feel any need, or have any reason to switch...
- bombboyzero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Pretty straightforward list. If you don't already use the majority of this it helps.
- chrispen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I threw up in my mouth a little when I read 1&1 on the list.
- aznman_2001, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What about Meebo? I think that deserves to be on the list.
- scifimax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Great list!! A few missing...

- dotancohen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1He recommends OUTLOOK, and not THUNDERBIRD?!? Idiot. He's probably a spammer and malware distributor, and wants everyone using broken software.
- wordhugger, on 11/23/2007, -0/+0Awesome list. You might also like: http://www.rsshugger.com

- usbserial, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2I came with skepticism, and I left with appreciation. While most of the links are common knowledge, there are some I haven't heard of. It's a substantial collection.
- icesar, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Alright! I've been looking for a good list of monetization options to try...
- adnan278, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Lol I know, I especially loved your Freelancing list because there were so many tools and sites that I had never heard of.
- ilkeryoldas, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2I like these lists because I can make 1 bookmark instead of 101
