- tsaiwes99, on 05/26/2008, -10/+191I really hope they will finally find the transformers this time.
- DouglasScott, on 05/26/2008, -7/+157Way to go team!
- wreckosaurus, on 05/26/2008, -1/+138It seems quiet on Mars, perhaps too quiet
- llamabread, on 05/26/2008, -9/+128The amazing thing is that it only cost $325 Million. At that price, we should be landing missions on Mars at a pace of 2 or 3 a year. Sadly, but due to NASA's budget cuts, the next one isn't coming until 2013 (originally 2011).
- cshaaban, on 05/26/2008, -3/+89The people at JPL were stressing out today. Good job guys!
- cave, on 05/26/2008, -4/+76Wouldn't it be awesomely anticlimactic if in fact there WAS micro biotic life blooming on Mars' north pole, but this probe's little jets just grilled all of it into extinction during it's 7 minutes of terror??
- SystemicAnomaly, on 05/26/2008, -1/+69Watching and listening to mission control live on television was really an awesome experience. You could just feel the anticipation, and the team's celebration really showed how much time and hard work was put in to make this mission successful.

FIRST PIC!! - alleged, on 05/26/2008, -2/+47That is simply a magnificent accomplishment. A spacecraft on the north pole of Mars!
Way good news, by far the best reading in a long, long time. - inactive, on 05/26/2008, -2/+46This is superb! Well done NASA!
- adam07, on 05/26/2008, -9/+52We spend $432 million per day in Iraq. Imagine what we could accomplish if we weren't wasting all of our money in a pointless war. Perhaps we could even send a man to Mars within the decade.
- briandeloach, on 05/26/2008, -10/+52Aweasome! A job well done by NASA!
- Flashman, on 05/26/2008, -6/+46From Wikipedia:
"The multi-agency program is headed by the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona, under the direction of NASA. The program is a partnership of universities in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom, NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, and the aerospace industry." - riverrunner, on 05/26/2008, -1/+29I await the day when it is proved there is life beyond earth. chipping away.
- inactive, on 05/26/2008, -6/+33I hope aliens Rick roll the probe camera, that would be absolutely legendary!
- wreckosaurus, on 05/26/2008, -5/+30Dude stop. It's a good country, I live here too, but you're being a douche bag.

- KMartSheriff, on 05/26/2008, -2/+25George Bush didn't do *****. In fact he actually gave NASA less money, so ***** him.
- deepdiggdude, on 05/26/2008, -10/+32Please don't nauseate me with references to a mythical being while I'm basking in the glow of reality. It is the saddest of ironies that so much mental effort is waisted in the houses of the holy when truth is being revealed to us daily by the real hero's of enlightenment: scientists.
Every moment expended by a human in search of gods is a moment lost in the quest for truth. - Battlecry, on 05/26/2008, -3/+24I'm an American and that even made me cringe.
- inactive, on 05/26/2008, -1/+21Seriously, watching the landing live was just incredible. Really, this whole mission just makes me feel like a kid again - nothing really compares to the excitement of exploring another planet.
