- jsindal, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1I noticed this last night in Southern Mass. - very cool! I knew the brighter star was Venus but didn't know Jupiter was that visible to the naked eye...
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1Fighting evil by moon light...
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1I saw a similar pattern back in 2002 in Iraq.
- skarps, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1So we will never see this again as the world ends in 2012 right?
- derekmas10, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1Yeah, I was watching it, and called my family out in California, and told them they would just have to wait til it got dark.

- AriKant, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1You realize this was a northern hemisphere thing right?
California isn't special - Araya213, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1I didn't know it was coming, saw it last night, me and some friends were kinda freaked out because here in texas, the cluster was very low in the sky,
- thedogfatherx, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1This was awesome. I didn't know about this but I saw the bright lights yesterday on my way home from work. I was thinking, "those have got to be planets." I'm in North Dakota so you didn't just have to be in California to see it.
- peteg01, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1Where in ND? I was there last winter (in all four corners of the state), and the locals told me they could see the Northern Lights from Minot and Devil's Lake. I never did, though, I would think that Northern Lights trump dangly planets any time!
- djtomorama, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1Minnesota had a real nice view of it.
I actually didn't know what I was looking at until I went back inside, then quickly ran out again. - ntulip, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1florida was nice
- arcticblue, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1It was a smiley face in Japan as well.
- Val451, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1Yeah but Australia had a smiley face, as opposed to our upside down frowny face
- thedogfatherx, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Fargo, ND. Way east in north dakota by the minnesota border. About an hour or so away from South Dakota. Yea i've seen the northern lights from here to. I really can't remember the last time I did though. They are beautiful.
