Not every Christian reads the Bible like a textbook. When it's read in with the understanding of the historical context with which it was written it can be much more meaningful.

I can almost imagine being there and how alone it must feel like but its no different from being in a dessert on Earth. Someday, a few hundred years from now, these pictures will remind us of the past just the same way the man on the moon pictures do now. I don't think we're alone in the universe - but I do wish to have that proven before I die.
