- nem0, on 04/08/2009, -1/+14I think you have to have 4 houses on a lot before you can buy a hotel.
- Dumbledorito, on 04/08/2009, -1/+14The "planet's" first building?
If this is the official line from the project, the engineers might want to double-check their math and make sure they used real numbers and everything. - Molle7, on 04/08/2009, -0/+9The proposed house is actually a traditional Swedish red cottage, like this one:

- Vaasman, on 04/08/2009, -1/+9The robot's probably just an actor in a studio since nobody has actually landed on the moon after all *wink* *wink*.
- feelmypimphand, on 04/08/2009, -0/+7Studio 54
- leandrotami, on 04/08/2009, -0/+61. The Moon is not a planet
2. What is a read cottage?
3. There aren't lots on the Moon.
4. Vacant sounds a little bit redundant. - EarlOfLade, on 04/08/2009, -1/+7The Swedes are opening a restaurant on the moon?
Swedish Cuisine - Now also on the Moon.
Serving Swedish Meat Ball in a light moon sauce! - sipsyrup, on 04/08/2009, -0/+6I vote that they plant a sturdy oak tree for the front yard. It will last many moon years.
- murrdpirate, on 04/08/2009, -0/+5That description is nonsensical in so many ways.
- xt0ph3r, on 04/08/2009, -0/+4I would like to simultaneously digg this for the idea and bury it for being such a poorly written article.
New feature please, digg. - artwithbyte, on 04/08/2009, -0/+4Did anybody else think to themself "Robot House!" after reading the title?
- losblack, on 04/08/2009, -0/+3Fun Fact: The Moon is actually not a planet.
- gizram84, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3"a little read cottage"
what's a "read cottage"? - CannedMango, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2Wait... they're building the Crushinator??
- tgc1, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2Hope they plan on putting on a thicker roof. Them meteorites don't take too kindly to new real estate landing on their turf.
- stuffradio, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2With a side of Moon cheese!
- jgubbe, on 04/09/2009, -0/+2I would use a mobile crane just lightened up appropriately to the moon to earth gravity ratio. It has proven very capable on earth. You could design any attachment you wanted to be put on the hook or on the boom itself. Put two little welding bots with it and you have a raising gang.
The mobile crane could be used as a crawler platform, excavator, transport, drilling, erection of structures, towing, and could even be armored and weaponized like a tank for them pesky alien attacks. - dinki, on 04/08/2009, -0/+2I'm working on building a flying saucer to visit Mars but that doesn't mean I'm ever going to be visiting Mars. This robot seems like it is going to stay Earthbound also.
- abadonn, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1They are finally opening a Chabad on the moon?
- Relentl3ss, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Crushenator?
- inactive, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Cool! I want one!
- displacednomad, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Yeah, I was wondering if maybe the robot and the cabin weren't pictured to scale. Otherwise that's a huge robot, or a tiny cabin.
- murrdpirate, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1lol, the models of the robot and cabin are literally an erector set and a toy log cabin.
- MasterGrief, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1If the moon had Swedish meatballs, would you eat them? I know I would. And then polish it off with a tall, cool Budweiser.
- airfin, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1I'm conflicted. It sounds like a big waste of time and money, but it's so cute...
- EarlOfLade, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1Or maybe this is just the first IKEA on the moon!
- Bainemo, on 04/08/2009, -0/+1No, but I did think of whalin' on the moon.
- kameto, on 04/08/2009, -0/+0I know, and this is suppose to be a science news site? XD
- Astark, on 04/08/2009, -0/+0This would be cool... But maybe you should work on a Swedish space program first...
- GeorgeTirebiter, on 04/08/2009, -0/+0They seem to have forgotten the gutters for the pitched roof.
- ralphbrynard, on 04/08/2009, -0/+0Way to go earth! Just what we need is more of our ***** to start littering the face of our moon!
- lilhelper, on 04/09/2009, -1/+1your little list is a bit redundant.
- mckee123, on 04/08/2009, -1/+0lol sounds kinda cool.
- notoriousbob, on 04/08/2009, -5/+0erect LOL!!!!!1
