Nice idea - but only within the context of public knowledge of space.
Doesn't cover -
1.) the 4th astronaut in the Apollo 1 fire,
2.) the many thousands of contacts with ET life in and around this planet,
3.) the "real" space program that is currently hidden (codenamed "Solar Warden") and which ferries supplies to and from our current populated Mars base (yes, there is indeed a base on Mars, even though "Alternative 3" was of course a hoax)
4.) Developments in Earth-produced anti grav flying discs (etc) as a result of 2.)
5.) Numerous artificial structures on the Moon and Mars which have been investigated by Nasa and the military etc.
6.) Planet X which is on it's way back to the solar system
7.) Human travel beyond the solar system (there's multiple solid rumours of a friendly human/ET exchange program that was going on during the 80's - and yes, most of the officers involved did return.)
I expect to be dugg down, but that doesn't change the truth of these matters. I expect to be asked for proof, but hope you will do your own research, and not just take my word for it.
If the flash developer is reading the comments here are some hints for a better user experience.
Make the width of the flash player dynamic based on the browser window size. This way you can maximize the viewable area.
Add acceleration to the scrolling or better yet get rid of the scrolling and create better interaction.
Create a minimap on the lower right corner of the player so users know where they are while scrolling the map.
Use a small pixel font for the key. Looks like crap on a hi res monitor.
