- TerrorByteX, on 01/06/2008, -5/+43I read it as Suprnova. Who else saw that instead?
- xdvx, on 01/06/2008, -2/+14Did mistake again, refreshed page, ***** digg.
- drcreek, on 01/06/2008, -2/+10I read SoupNova. Sounded tastey
- chicken101, on 01/06/2008, -0/+7Well, scientific theories are just theories, but these people fail to understand that in science a theory is far better than a fact. This is why we take, for example, classes on electromagnetic theory, and not electromagnetic fact.
- discofreak, on 01/06/2008, -0/+7i can haz spelling?
- treelovinhippie, on 01/06/2008, -2/+8Amazing stuff, I love science. If only the religious nutjobs of the world who think scientific theories are "just theories" would actually sit down and read, research and understand the enormity of scientific research then this world might actually start progressing toward a type 1 civilisation.
- captainchris, on 01/06/2008, -0/+4i find it interesting that you got -2 diggs saying 'digg sucks because you can't edit anything' but +10 saying '***** digg'
- discofreak, on 01/06/2008, -2/+5i agree. why are people digging you down?
a LOT of Digg users need to learn how to spell. it's just ridiculous how stupid some people are. - hplasm, on 01/06/2008, -0/+3Capital 'I' at beginning of sentence... capital 'w'... 'a'...
/need I go on...? - ibjhb, on 01/06/2008, -1/+4I just wish people like you would not take every chance they get to make a derogatory comment against "religious nutjobs". What ever happened to tolerance for one another? Why does it bother you SO MUCH that you have to get your panties in a bunch over what someone else thinks or believes. Be strong enough in your own convictions that you aren't going to be swayed by a "religious nutjob" and let them have their own views.
Rather than just name-call, why don't you actually work to show why you are "right" and they aren't? - boflaade, on 01/06/2008, -0/+3"Scientific Fact" is not fact. Broad usage of the term "fact" is never scientific.
- peregrine, on 01/06/2008, -1/+4So who wants to build a cloud box?
http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~adf4/cloud.html - TyrannousDotNet, on 01/06/2008, -1/+3is this about torrents?
- cherwilco, on 01/06/2008, -0/+2looks to me like Soupenova
- sukkit, on 01/06/2008, -0/+2ooooooooo...MAGNETS!!!! Dude is easily amused.
Anyway, these things are cool. We'll be making new elements before too long. - benjorino, on 01/07/2008, -0/+1Nice paperclips
- angryredplanet, on 01/07/2008, -0/+1I'm surprised you think you have nothing to prove. You've made some very sweeping statements based on nothing but subjective conjecture. I'll elaborate.
"Part of the reason the world is so ***** up is because no one (atheists, agnostics, politicians, scientists and even the religious themselves) question, call-out, ridicule religion when it is clearly meddling in matters that it shouldn't be."
Who decides who should be allowed to meddle in anything? The reason why religions are included for their opinions are that they are supposed to represent what is morally right, to be the bastions of goodness unlike the rest of humanity who are at best morally questionable. Yes, you could argue that religion has started wars, the crusades etc etc, but was that really driven by the religion, or by mankind's intolerance of others' religions, something you posit as being an essentially good thing?
"It's about time people started voicing their opinions on the ridiculousness of religion and the damage it is doing to humanity."
Now that's a big call actually, two. Who governs the ridiculousness of ones belief systems over another? Are you talking religion in general, or just one religion? And what damage, exactly, is it doing to humanity - other than making you angry?
"Logic and reason crush any, and I mean ANY, argument the religious have. But logic and reason seem to fly out the window with religion, something which the church and religious leaders love."
Perhaps, but after reading your post, can you say you're any different? Why can't somebody be free to believe what they want without having to justify it to the religion police? That seems like a logical argument but it's got absolutely no sway with you. This seems all about you, what you believe, what you consider ridiculous and what you think everyone else should believe based on the aforementioned. What gives you the right to stand up and say what you like about a group of people you clearly know little about? Would you do it if your target was specifically African-Americans, or spastics, or females?
Nobody is perfect, and some groups and sub-sections exemplify this, but I feel you have a lot to prove. - inactive, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1My friend owns a supernova machine. He opens it up all the time to transfer new songs to it.
- endlessoul, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1Hard to be amused any other way when the closest you could get to the cyclotron was a trio of paper clips three stories above it.
- treelovinhippie, on 01/07/2008, -1/+2Yep I get that all the time. But I'm sick of the world being respectful of religion and treating it like this taboo. Part of the reason the world is so ***** up is because no one (atheists, agnostics, politicians, scientists and even the religious themselves) question, call-out, ridicule religion when it is clearly meddling in matters that it shouldn't be.
It's about time people started voicing their opinions on the ridiculousness of religion and the damage it is doing to humanity.
Oh and btw I've got nothing to prove. The burden of proof is on the deluded religious. Logic and reason crush any, and I mean ANY, argument the religious have. But logic and reason seem to fly out the window with religion, something which the church and religious leaders love. - benjorino, on 01/07/2008, -0/+1We've actually made plenty of new elements in the past, they're all just radioactive and dont last long before they decay though.
- boflaade, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1It's amazing that you ever heard of Canada.
- BattleChimp, on 01/06/2008, -0/+1Wow! Look at that control center! All those computer screens makes my e-peen tingle.
- baitzy, on 01/06/2008, -0/+0If you work there, you can actually get down into the cyclotron areas... but you don't want to because they are highly radioactive. Sadly they need maintenance once in a while because they are 33-years old. The general public is not allowed to get anywhere near that amount of radiation. Contrary to popular belief, they don't wear radiation suits to enter the areas, you just work quickly and get out.
- PPCG4, on 01/06/2008, -4/+3Heh... hadron...
- neio, on 01/06/2008, -2/+1Ha ha, he said Big bang.
- CosmicSombrero, on 01/06/2008, -1/+0A bunch of the TRIUMF researchers have offices two floors below mine. Its a pretty neat facility.
- ilovemaria, on 01/06/2008, -3/+133 years and i've never heard of it. way to make progress, canada. just keep growing trees
- goldensmacks, on 01/06/2008, -3/+0Learn how to spell digg tard.
- xdvx, on 01/06/2008, -9/+6Digg system sucks, because in you can't edit anything you wrote. Theoretically yes, but practically no.
- vladrac25, on 01/06/2008, -6/+0Another one of those machines that will create a black hole and destroy as all? or just a computer?
http://www.anopo.com - mlbwebdesign, on 01/06/2008, -11/+5Buried. How about checking your spelling before posting.
- xdvx, on 01/06/2008, -15/+3Better don't be close, if you're not sure about having metals in your body (even metal dusts in lungs or old tattoos can kill you).
