- Scynet, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That's nothing special, unfortunately. I just identified about 200 galaxies during the past hours, and tight clusters like that are pretty common. If you can see the galaxies transferring stars between them, which might be happening in that picture, you can of course identify it as a 'merger', but besides that it's nothing special.
- SteveyDevey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Of course the human brain is smarter than computers. Computers are just much faster as basic math, piled upon more math. We weren't designed to do basic arithmetic, but they were. That's all they do (generally), just much faster than we could ever imagine to.
