- spyd3rweb, on 07/23/2008, -1/+22There is no dark side of the moon really... matter of fact its all dark.
- Forbizzle, on 07/23/2008, -0/+16you have to start it on the second lion roar
- shannimal, on 07/23/2008, -0/+14I'm sure Pink Floyd imagined it somewhat differently... in technicolor.
- BrianC, on 07/22/2008, -8/+20There is no such thing as the "dark side" of the moon; all parts off the moon receive sunlight. There is, however, a back side of the moon, which is the face not pointing at the earth.
- jakefloyd, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8Man.... I thought it was going to be a Floyd update!
- cdigioia, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7Not sure why a few have buried you, it's a common misconception about the "dark side".
- Futurejunior, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Wrong album doof, you must have brain damage
- DownIsTheNewUp, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Bummer. I was hoping this would be a quality video recording of Roger Waters performing DSOTM at Coachella.
- tool4life, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Yeah prolly. That, or it's a reference to the greatest album ever released.....
- oneoverzero, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6It gets sunlight instead, which is much brighter.
- rz8472, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5Buried. No secret Nazi base.
- cheezintern, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3I saw him performing it at darian lake and it was amazing.
- megamod, on 07/22/2008, -3/+6IDK...I can see the earth with a lot of detail from where I'm standing and I'm not 31 million miles away =)
"The latest images show the moon and Earth in greater detail than previous ones taken by orbiting spacecraft..."
btw...is it just me or is everyone trying to capitalize on the "dark" concept from Dark Knight. First the Dark Knight Ubuntu Ibex theme and now this? - sclark, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3amazing how shiny and alive the Earth looks, where the moon looks like a muddy rock.
- drilljoy, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon. - ShakeWell, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3i was expecting Dorothy...
- asus2000, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3One of man's greatest accomplishments... If you think of the cumulative science that needed to make that video happen, it's quite amazing.
- Abomonog, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3"There is no dark side of the moon really... matter of fact its all dark."
It went straight over oneoverzero's head. - itsbob, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3it must be the Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave in my head
- pat0neill, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2don't be afraid to care
- asus2000, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3Ah ok, I think Justin Timberlake is on with Britney, run away child..
- Kflo, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3Why get my hopes so high for juicy lost Floyd footage?
- joerite, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1.. the side with the alien bases.
- ngageguy, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1I thought it was the third. Oh well, good times!
- guitarplayer673, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Wow, what an eerie video to watch. Sure it's blurry, but think about what you're seeing here.
- jshooter1377, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1zomg!
- buddypriefert, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2Thanks for the dumb little globe icon at the lower left to remind me that I'm looking at the earth.
- manicmarvin, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1We came in... isn't this where?
- mareksoon, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2"The latest images show the moon and Earth in greater detail than previous ones taken by orbiting spacecraft"
preceded by:
"The spacecraft, Deep Impact, took shots at 15-minute intervals, which were combined to make the sequence shown below. "
Did I see the right video? I saw a grainy postage stamp-sized slideshow circa IE3. Thought maybe I had popped my 1995 Groilers Encyclopedia on CD into the 2x CD-ROM drive. - oneoverzero, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2Yeah, but the massive amounts of sunlight it gets makes up for the fact that it's only about 10% reflective (so it's about as dark as slate)
- jshooter1377, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Is it just me or did the back side of the moon have a hint of red/orange to it?
- zooto68, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1Buried as this story has already been posted under a different title.
- MadOtaku, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1I never claimed otherwise, oneoverzero. I know it gets sunlight and that that is far brighter than earthlight. I'm simply trying to come up with a reasonable interpretation of the term 'dark side of the moon' when all sides get light. The only such interpretation I can think of it the one I forwarded.
- dawnraid101, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2*Second greatest
- Chrysalii, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1and grooving with a pict?

- isaacarus, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0falsely titled, it SHOULD read view of the earth from 31million miles away. this video doesnt show the dark side of the moon at all.
