- Bobski, on 07/05/2008, -4/+30meh - apod repeat from a year ago.
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap070205.html - davidwasman, on 07/05/2008, -8/+30Buried for being on digg at least 5 times in the past year and also for being debunked. It's not a real photo. it's a compilation of astral events.
- PhoenixAvatar2, on 07/05/2008, -0/+10One worthy of being repeated though.
- realjames, on 07/05/2008, -0/+6Triple whammy! Fireworks, lightning and comet!
- myhandleondigg, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4considering its 3 images combined together and it has a long exposure, a little tiny piece of light in the sky could have been anything.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4This must be the 5th time I've seen this on digg, cool - but goddamn.
- BrokenVisage, on 07/05/2008, -3/+6Happy.. Australia Day?
- wassim2k, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Can we just place a permanent link to APOD on the front page and get this over with already? A small slideshow would be fine too.
- bouche, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2I've got news for you. There is an RSS feed for the APOD photos that you can subscribe to and spare us on digg from seeing APOD every single frikkin' day.
Who's going to help me bury these? I can't be the only one that sees how ridiculous the APOD post daily to digg is. - onux16, on 07/05/2008, -0/+2Quadruple whammy.... Fireworks, lightning, comet, and beach-clad Australian chicks!
- darkmaninperth, on 07/06/2008, -2/+4To the De-bunkers...
It is a real photo - I was there and watching the fireworks on that night.
A mate of mine did a Livejournal entry for the even http://idle-hans.livejournal.com/2007/01/27/
So all you debunkers - MEH! - PhoenixAvatar2, on 07/05/2008, -2/+3What are you on about? Astral events, meaning stuff happening in the stars? Only thing in there that's happening outside our atmosphere is the comet. Like the description says, it's a three-photo panorama with some filtering to reduce redness from the firework. Everything happened there exactly as pictured.
- SpoonDigg, on 07/05/2008, -6/+7double wammy.. cool
- Shroomie, on 07/05/2008, -3/+4Whoa, I never even noticed the comet before. I just saw the fireworks and lightning.
- vw195, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1I will be digging APOD every day
- 3leggedHorse, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2Compiz skydome.
- lazlonger, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1I KNEW it! I saw that current date at the top and fell for it, but my suspicions were right.
My respect for APOD (a thing I truly love and am very interested in) declines as a result of this lazy-ish pandering to what they expect we expect.....that said, I've noticed now that APOD is pretty repetitive this past year or so....ironic considering the near infinite number of items visible from Earth's orbit....worthy of being repeated...but without note? when there are doubtless hundreds of other cool NEW photos from 2008 that were ignored....? - lazlonger, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1browse your drive for fun sometime... but don't be offended if I quit the tour having been before...eh?
- StormCommander, on 07/06/2008, -2/+3i remembering digging this a year ago and even THEN it was old and had been dugg numerous times before
please stop - MrSalty, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2Nothing needed to be debunked. It says right in the description that it's a composite photo. The description said the same thing last year as well.
- Dylson, on 07/05/2008, -3/+3You didn't notice the comet? Are you stupid or something?
- georgek421, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0Everybody loves APOD, I see so many submits for that every single day.
http://mydoublingstocksreview.com - merrickx, on 07/05/2008, -4/+4I saved this off of Digg a long time ago but I never noticed there was a comet until now. Sometimes I like when stuff pops back up on digg. It's like re-stumbling upon something you forgot about.
- goodinohio, on 07/05/2008, -1/+1I've seen tons of repeats in the last week. I think some are desperate to hit the front page.
- duckyinc, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1APOD recycles pictures on Saturday and Sunday
- Gemfinder, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1Wow. Rudra and Nuit wanted in on the games.
But why didn't they wait for full dark to shoot off the fireworks, ferevvinsake? - coolnerd, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1yeah i was there too. it's not fake.
- jamessavik, on 07/05/2008, -10/+4Anything Australian deserves at least a few digs...
- DrJG, on 07/05/2008, -9/+3Thank you, whoever took that wonderful shot - and shared it with the rest of us! And the one who posted it again - my computer went kaput last year and I lost everything, and it was very depressing; and now, this one is back!
- DrJG, on 07/05/2008, -9/+3Thank you, whoever took that wonderful shot - and shared it with the rest of us!
