- DisposableRob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Still doesn't work as good as http://www.degraeve.com/translator.php which I have found unblocked by most government networks.
- djisamsoe, on 01/21/2009, -0/+1nice proxy...thanks for sharing mate...

- mamproxy, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1New web proxy unblock myspace,
http://www.simta.cn
http://www.webproxies.cn
http://www.myspaceproxyforschool.com - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A sollution could be to run a private proxy server on your home computer, and not give the link out to anyone and just use it yourself. Whenever they block the domain, just get another one. A modified PHProxy (http://www.whitefyre.com/poxy/) Would do the trick
- keksovkeks, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1About use proxy and anonymous surfing http://vprivatenetwork.com/index.php?action=config ...
- TheNerd25, on 02/20/2008, -0/+1I definitely prefer web based proxy sites such as http://www.squibber.net/ and http://www.computers-made-easy.com/
- krillion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2HAHAHAHA my dansguardian install thwarts the google translator. Dansguardian is the man! also its cheap :)
- keksovkeks, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1About use proxy and anonymous surfing http://vprivatenetwork.com/index.php?action=config ...
- xelloss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0School Blocks it, sucks too.
- sedgemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tested and it did not work for me.
- iSEPIC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0for those having problems with the actual url in the, well, url, put in a tinyurl alt to the real urls address....seems to work on some things. For example: http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=http://tinyurl.com/bm4j5
- einsfahrt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Blocked as Anonymizer/Translator
- h0dg3s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0can do this on any translator, works better on a site that's built for it like hidemyass.com
- Cab00se, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dosn't work for sites blocked via a server.
- Vector713, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i love attending a high school with unfiltered internet access :D
- rc_collins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What exactly are people looking at that they need to hid there own IP?
--dan - dumassdelux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where I work you would get in to more trouble trying to get around the filter than trying going to the porn site. You are trying to circumvent the the filter and it would at least get written up if not fired.
- Cygnus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not a chance of working.
Access Denied. Reason: Anonymizing Utilities - DEIx15x8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Doesn't work since the reason my sites are blocked are because the address or title contains a blocked word on a list and this still uses that same blocked word.
- noghead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Im gonna try going to blocked sites at school, dugg right now, undugg if it doesnt work.
- LukeDennis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweetness.
- chrism1128, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually suggested this to a clown that "used" to work with me. I'm glad that I let his dumb ass be the lab rat.
He had a problem with his PC and took it to support. (Without clearing his history.)
They found this when they were checking his machine and monitored him for a month.
Well, he's gone, but his legacy lives on in water cooler humor.
SO, beware. - possum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0great! just another way to stick it to the man! now we all need to write a little FF ext. like Tor.
++ - notninja, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no digg. does not work for my schools firewall. we use Bess.
- romman00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0birdadderley...maybe if you knew something about computers you would know that you can use portable ff to enter a proxy server as your default connection to the internet.
- icupg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no dice . . .Blocked as Anonymizing Utility
- jkeyes0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Useful, has launched a big sting here at work to block everything that can even remotely be used as anonymous proxy. I help out with the proxy servers, and this article has added alot of work to my job. Thanks guys. :-P
- birdadderley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Personally I use portable firefox on my flash drive."
What in the hell does that have to do with anything? Advertisements go in the top box fool! - bastawhiz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Only a web proxy. Still doesn't cover links from Flash, I believe Javascript, etc.
- hyperation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ubbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbber
- bemaniso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yea this will not work for a lot of people cause the webblocking software probobly gets updated periodicly. This has worked for a long time, it just hasnt been made to public cause the more public is it the more a chance there is that the site will be blocked
- Koldark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You can create a shortcut to take advantage of this.
In Firefox create a bookmark to: http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=%s then set a keyword. If you want to hit a site, you then type the keyword and the URL. In my case I can then type 'see www.playboysite.com'. - Ficke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+02 things:
1. You don't need the "langpair" parameters in the URL at all.
2. You can go directly to the frame URL itself and avoid the annoying "The page has been automatically translated..." boilerplate by changing "translate" to "translate_c" thus, this sends you "directly" to the Amazon.com homepage:
http://google.com/translate_c?u=http://amazon.com - Eminemdrdre00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This will come in handy @ school!
- NickDouglas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Doesn't work for people behind 8e6 (http://www.8e6.com/)
- chabuhi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Websense pWNS =8^P
That said ... not that hard to set up a php proxy that Caesar-ciphers URL's thus easily rendering WS (and others) moot. Barring protocol blocks and custom filters. - cabletool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Didnt work for me but this did http://wkccp.com/proxy/ posted by another digger in this thread.
Thanks- - Udjat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SmartFilter blocks this activity.
- HiddenS3crets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is very cool. My school blocks access to certain websites, then when me and a friend started doing proxy browsing using those web-based anonymous proxy browsing sites, the eventually blocked as well. I'm sure they've got logs of all that crap. Great thing with this is that it might not look to suspicious to them when they see those types of urls, plus, everyone in our school uses google so they can't block it >_
- scottauth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can anyone point me in the direction of creating your own proxy?
My work has blocked every way possible.
One way that used to work was adding a period to the end of a url.
For example, www.digg.com.
It worked for almost a year and then it stopped. - jdwaters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0simple, brilliant!
- r00t3d0ut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome!
- hholland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's pretty awesome, beats the ***** out of converting your www.google.com@www.pr0n.com to www.google.com%402092938283
- bsoric, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0At my school, the computers have filtering software on them, but the students' laptops' wireless network don't.
If I need to use a school computer for something, I route it through my laptop via SSH. - sjortol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For those wondering what people look at that filters block, there are countless times when filters block what they should not, especially at schools on a tight budget where the admin doesn't care enough to make the filter accurate. My school blocks many college app sites, including the common app website... -_-
- bnt3a, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg... I wonder if I can check my Gmail with this... Anyone who is on a restricted server just try it.
- looksliketrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What it doesn't say is that you can bypass all that extra nonsense and just use http://216.239.39.104/translate_c?u= Gets rid of that banner at the top. Won't stop your servers at work from blocking it if they do keyword matching though.
- lwdallas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anybody have a proxy link that doesn't have the word PROXY in it??
