- RayS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd like to think the app is psychic :)
- kynes05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hate to say this but its the truth: i was excited about the ipodder x on windows thing at one point, but since itunes added podcast support i seem to have lost interest.
- RayS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can't make everyone happy, but either can iTunes... competition is a good thing.
- Nate_LapT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Um did it like come preinstalled with my favorite podcasts, or are those like the top 10 and i just happen to like 6/10. or was it just that easy to accidently click 10 podcasts on first start and subscribe
- donKey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice! Grabbing it now.
@donKey

- aaronmac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, I've been waiting for this for a while. Awesome work Ray! Thanks!
- Nunya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So, not as good as iTunes and not free is what I am getting so far...
- wbsmith89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0still gotta say i like itunes better. probably would have been nice if it came out before 4.9 though.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Windows XP only!? WTF? I demand windows 2000 support.
- copperkidd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Windows XP w/ SP2 only? LAME!! Give us Windows 2000 support.
- JeffAB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It doesn't seem to give an option to use Firefox as the browser. I don't like using insecure MSIE.
- RayS, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1bittorrent link for those that want it that way: http://libsyn.com/software/thunderstonemedia/iPodderX_PublicBeta.exe.torrent
- mutant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So lemme get this straight, you need to have itunes to use ipodderx, itunes already does what ipodderx does, and you have to pay for it, when itunes is free..
i'm not seeing it. - August, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually, iTunes is completely optional (read the system requirements).
Plus, iPodderX provides a vast number of features not found in iTunes, including RSS newsreading, text-to-speech, bookmarkable AAC conversion, and much more. - ChicagoFan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0looks very cool but why
buy it? - yakk0dotorg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What iPodderX has over iTunes is the bookmarkable support. iTunes will save the audio files in whatever format they are provided in. iPodderX will convert them into bookmarkable AAC files, which is great if you go from playing a file on your desktop, to your iPod, then back on your home PC.
- jul1an, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I Install iPodderX on my Windows 2000. IT Works!!!
By the way i have .NET Framework instaled and all security patches and Service Packs
:) - Invariant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow. From the mini-screenshot the interface looks just horrid. I'm talking specifically about the iTunes-esque window inside of the normal Windows window. It has a lot of nice features but that window-inside-a-window would drive me nuts.
Not that I could use the program, anyway. Amarok 1.3 beta3 has built in podcasting support. It's nice. - superpixel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great work Ray! Not for everyone, but neither is iTunes. Personally, I use iTunes on my Mac, and will now be using iPodderX on my PC. Sweet.
- jasondefaoite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Crap. No proxy support (i think), as it detects I'm not connected to the net, and then crashes. Nice job!
- billshackle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's just two guys, they have to make money somehow.
- trongod05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm getting jacked text as well
- CountZero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Umm... well, while I've stopped using iTunes a long time ago, as I've been having connectiond difficulties, and iPodder lets me resume downloads. Not to mention, iPodder is free, and iPodderX will cost me some cash.
- The_Rob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Let me know when it's free
- geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Dorks will have microphones and podcast for a long time to come. Hope you enjoy your coma! :P
- aaronmac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0iTunes is way better. Case closed.
- DrPiranha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Personally, I think that charging for a beta version is ***** in the first place.
- aaronmac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0uh... wtf!? The text is all screwed up and it look almost like Arabic...???
- we.are.devo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Pay for the ability to download and listen to morons talk about ***** like "Why MS is teh suxorz" and "Google buys a bunch of grapes and a bottle of Magic Shell!"... wake me up when the whole "podcast" (read: dorks with microphones) thing is over.
- 8ight, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0SP2 or .NET... hell no. i'll do the little work it takes to get them myself. most "rivercasts" are just people who like to hear themselves anyway. twit is the only "rivercast" that's worth a listen. digg somewhat, but alex is a goof. anyway, everyone else enjoy.
- hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0gay name.

What is Digg?
