- blanski, on 10/12/2007, -4/+69Sorry, but thepiratebay's search algorithm sucks. You search for one specific title and get tons of irrelevant results.
Torrentz is the best so far, IMO. - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -4/+66..I am in class. I learn more from Digg than from any of my teachers.

Sure, she lost a lot of weight, but her toilet had to be replaced. That's not something very pleasant, now is it?
Very Sincerely,

Your comment implies that the main use of Bittorrent sites is for downloading Music. This is not the case.
It's used mainly for Porn, and it would cost thousands of dollars a month for many Diggers to keep up with their current Porn consumption legitimately. - Linkage155, on 10/12/2007, -4/+41iLaugh at you
- SmokedL, on 10/12/2007, -2/+34Check Slashdot headlines.
Slashdotted and Dugg, and the site is still up and responding.
Pretty darn impressive if you ask me. - xerus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33I cant wait to use this for completely legal torrents that are legal in every way and in no way are violating any copyright laws, and are legal.
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32It looks functional (as is isohunt and every other clone) but it's really ugly. I think the first site that manages to be fast and elegant (think google or new yahoo) will make a BIG splash.
- MooseFruit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22http://www.mininova.org
I find mininova far more reliable and comprehensive for torrents. - Lososaurus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Bookmarked later for when we're not 'limited to 50% of their database'
- davidhildreth, on 10/12/2007, -12/+29every torrent site claims to be the biggest
marked lame - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20Get back to class.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Wow.. according to this comparison: http://comparebt.blogspot.com/ --btjunkie has a ***** more torrents than any other site. I don't think it really matters how ugly the site is.
I usually just use the Bitche program.. which searches a few of the popular site databases and uses an excellent search algorithm that weeds out the crap. - theprez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10The Pirate Bay HQ were raided by police and got their servers back up in 3 days. And.. I don't remember them beeing down when they got dugg and were all over the news. THAT's impressive. btjunkie.. well feels kind of crappy at the moment.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I use BitChe for my torrent searching needs.. it's a small windows app that searches TONS of both public and private torrent sites. BTjunkie included.

Highly recommended. - xamox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9http://www.alexaholic.com/btjunkie.org+torrentspy.com+thepiratebay.org+demonoid.com
Their traffic ranking sucks. Demonoid is by far the best I've used. It is invite only but is a private tracker. What that means is the more you share the quicker you get to download. I have been using torrents since the good ole' days of suprnova.org and have to say demonoid has way more torrent than any of those. Torrentspy has the best user interface of anyone out there and is the most digg like. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10finally, a different season of boy meets world
- lament, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11lol good one!
- JohnboiWaltune, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Googling for "[latest movie] filetype:torrent" already works decently well.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8i ***** love bittorrent
- Indrek, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11I think it looks nice and clean. Functionality first, eyecandy later. Not everything needs to be web2.0-fied.
- zenzenkevin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Back in MY day we had to walk uphill both ways in the snow barefoot and on fire to find our torrents.
- n00ch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4http://www.torrentscan.com/
Searches btjunkie, as well as demonoid, downloadanime, piratesbay, and torrentreactor. Clean frame based interface. - cbiz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5yup!! mininova solves my no TV in the house problem.
- Coletrickle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"We are experiencing higher than normal activity. Please try again now."
you were saying :+ - championchap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"I think it looks nice and clean. Functionality first, eyecandy later. Not everything needs to be web2.0-fied."
web 2.0 dosnt mean making everything pretty, thats should be one of the things that all web designers take into account from the very start.
what use is a site that works, but is cluttered and confusing?
im tempted to say mySpace.. but that site dosnt even work. - forsight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3you can by-pass it man
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4excellent program. found what i needed right away with no sifting through web rubbish. thanks!
- forsight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you rock man!
- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Thanks, thats handy.
- Cab00se, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've been using btjunkie for almost a year now, it's loaded. I love it.
- dmoney22, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5@mrASSMAN
you must go to one ***** school - alexrandall, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6I agree that mininova is more comprehensive than others (isohunt or thepiratebay) but site is really slow for me.
Btw I just found torrents that I'm looking for on btjunkie. But it seems that I need to pay for VIP account. I'll just wait until it relased on mininova, isohunt or thepiratebay....... - playtex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Actually its pointless to scrape a scrape... Their practices are totally just a circle-jerk (and their the ones left eating the "pie" and the end if you know what I mean). You tell me if this makes any sense to do. mininova scrapes thepiratebay, their by all the torrents from the TRACKER thepiratebay are on the INDEX mininova. Then mybittorrent scrapes thepritatebay. finally fenopy scrapes those SAME torrents from thepiratebay, again producing another duplicate set of the SAME torrent files. Now btjunkies (or should we say jerkies) then scrapes thepiratebay, mininova, AND mybittorrent and fenopy then labels ALL 4 torrents as SEPERATE torrents with seperate stats (which makes no since as they should all have the same stats unless they are just BSing their stats. If you go on to a NORMAL index like mybittorrent, or fenopy you will see that they merge dupilcate torrents so you do not get redundant results, OR if you go to yotoshi or torrentz you will see they similarly match up the contents of the torrents to merge the duplicates rather then falsely inflating their stats to make them self look well stocked. In my opinion this will bite them in the ass when people get frustrated with all the died torrents. My guess is this is not a trustworth site which is why we dont even bother with scraping them or indexing them... Actually I do not know any indexers or search engines who bother with their junk torrents.
- renald100, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This person knows what they are talking about, ROCK ON RIGHT BACK TO YA!
- Scuba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Make sure you look in the bottom left-hand corner where it says "Manual DL" when you click on the private tracker torrents, you don't have to pay. "
- i3eergod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@cab00se - hey, maybe I'm just having an ADD flare-up, but every time I try to download a torrent file from btjunkie, it just takes me to a donation screen and asks me to sign-up for their "VIP Account".
- hallous, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3ummm... try a private tracker, tons of seeds on them.
- xtmno3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@akinder:
The basis for laws in our country (America, assuming you live here too, sorry for the assumption) is that the potential to do harm is not punishable, but rather the actual act. Guns are still legal because they have legit uses, shooting someone = jail. Being alive is not illegal just because you could be a prostitue, but whoring yourself out for cash = bad. Torrents can be used for good things = fine, downloading movies/software/music = bad. - dan4prez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I found this site a little while ago. It's a good site but it has one big downfall, you have to pay to download some of the torrents.
If you look on the front page, there will be a little lock next to some torrents. Those are the ones were you need an account that you paid for to download those. - xXShadowstormXx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3http://www.legaltorrents.com/
Started by Simon Carless.
Enjoy. - Maceart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Fails for not having unicode/BIG5/GB Asian language support.
- camster91, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3torrentz.com beats out every torrent site its the best
- Andrewc989, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Site looks good, seems to have a wide variety of content, I still think I prefer ISOHunt.com though.
By the way "muzy", even though your comment is juvenile, I thought you should know the RIAA is the Recording Industry Association of America, and I believe the other one you're thinking of is MPAA, the Motion Picture Association of America. - drafhk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I've known about btjunkie for about 6 months or so, and it is far better than any bittorrent site on the web. Better than thepiratebay by about 2x, and with 700k torrents, you can pretty much find whatever you want (reasonably). I'm just still laughing that none of you tech nerds knew anything about this while some stupid jock from Mexico has been using it to download 100s of gigs of stuff.
And no, there is no fee associated with btjunkie that I know of. Only for locked torrents and stuff. - ndiderrich, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1All I have to say is BtJunkie is a piece of crap now, they're site is full of db errors when searching and the seeders is not accurately reflected on the site. That obviously means that whoever made BTJunkie needs to burn in hell and be raped in the ass by sixteen tigers.
- tjlsmith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can anyone recommend a good book and comic book bt search site, please?
- dmoney22, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2have we forgotten about scrapetorrent.com already?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1crawls btjunkie and more
