- mp3tricord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9This is pretty awesome. Email is such a bad way of exchanging large pieces of data. can't believe it is only a one page app.
- emanggid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6wow it is so simple. and easy. no ads? just a simple easy app? this is the good side of the internet.
- sdether, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Sweet. I don't know many MBs are stuffed into my imap server that i can't even find when I need them. I used to do sneakernet between home and work with a usb key but i've left it so many times stuck in one computer or the other, that i still email myself way too many things.
- SpookyET, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4All that is now needed is a NETVIBES.com plugin. It's easier to have all these sweet apps on one page.
- se7en11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This seems to be really nice especially if you don't have a webserver somewhere you can just drop files onto.
I really would not be too disapointed to see a simply GoogleAd at the top somewhere. If this gets popular, their going to have a huge bandwidth bill. - webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Simply brilliant!
- sancho320, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wow pretty cool app! you could probably shop this around to some big sites...
... i hear Google likes to dish out cash for stuff like THI$. - Drull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Tested on FF 2.0, no issues here
- iNik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Try http://www.yousendit.com/ if you want to share files with folks.
- SpookyET, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's really cool. However, sometimes I need to share files with another person. I just send an email with no body (sometimes, no subject) with the attachment. It would be nice to be able to share the file with another person on Dropboks.
- jrhass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"high five"
- riah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Brilliantly simple.
- RonnieSan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Excellent app. Just get it looking right in IE and you're set. Uploading entire folders would be great. Not sure if you would want to make it more complex though. It's great for the simple stuff. I wouldn't even mind if there were ads at the side because it takes up so little real estate.
My co-worker was about to pull his hair out trying to send a couple files via outlook to his home email last Friday. It just wouldn't let him do it for some reason. Wish we would have known about this back then. - djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that's odd. which browser and OS are you running?
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1which part looked wrong?
- steevil, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Goodbye gmail its been cumbersome fun.....hello Dropboks you convenient piece of ruby mastery. Like it!
- etank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is there a place to report bugs? I got two files listed for upload. Then I tried to delete one of the files before uploading. The problem was that both files were removed not just the one I clicked. I had to browse to the files again before uploading.
- raccettura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How long can this run without ads? Will enough donations keep it running? Is there a backup business plan to keep it up?
Looks great btw, nice and simple UI. - mikegioia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow it even supports .exe's. This thing is awesome.
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is at the bottom of the page. Is it not loading for you?
- Drull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed. Going beyond this, being able to hot link images would be cool too. Not exactly "needed", but nice none the less.
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1we'll look into this, thanks!
- umber970, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thank you! I second the paypal donate button, how else can we donate a dollar?
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, thats gonna be in our next release.
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1u bet.
- isdereks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2box.net anyone? Nice web app though.
- Spook27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Downright beautiful. Dugg, and is sitting on my bookmarks toolbar folder, right next to TinyURL.
- dchoi22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is the information secure? How do we get assured of that? errrrrr?
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@spook27
Did you sign up for an account? - djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@spook27
Please re-try. This is the first report we have heard of this. Please let me know if it keeps happening. - binjured, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Beautiful in its simplicity. If I find myself using it you can expect a donation.
- pengas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice app and thanx for posting.
if u are looking to create a business model - dont count on donations much.
take a look at box.net, as isdereks proposes and consider creating account with different storage capacities.
best of luck - djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All files on our system are hosted off-site in a world class hosting facility. - Churnd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now to find/code a FF extension!
- NofsckIngcloo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I uploaded a test file and that went great. When I tried to drag it to the trash can I found that I could not. I checked, and JS is on. Is there something else I am missing?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1put up a donation button. i dont want you to go broke with the hosting!

Firefox 1.5.0.8
Adblock
NoScript (but I enabled the site)
Proxomitron
I click on the file icon but it does not move.
AHA! I shut off proxo and it worked. Thanks, digargamel, for making me think about it.
(I would have replied to digargamel's post rather than my own, but Digg doesn't seem to support that depth of threading.) - Spook27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yes. I signed up for an account, sent the file, and never saw it there again.
- Spook27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0...Sadly, the file I uploaded from home wasn't there when I got to class.
- paulj3000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is a fantastic product.
