- covaro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've upgraded... though I did find a pretty nasty bug. The index.php that is included now does not work if your blog index is located somewhere besides the wordpress directory. Quick fix, but still annoying, don't remember having this issue with prior versions:

I've found MT to be one of the best "blog" platforms out there, especially since you have support and all with it. The only downside to MT is the static pages, rebuilding your content is a pain

Wordpress.com accounts have been using a seperate version of Wordpress than the one available for download. We can pretty much say they have been guinea pigs. They are using something very similar to WP2.0 but it has special modifications.
The one on the SVN servers has been constantly updated, and is WP2.0.
I guess now, it is a final version of WP 2.0. The wp2.0 files arent on the main wordpress.org servers yet for download, I would assume Matt is still getting a few things settled in preparation for the massive ammount of people who are going to download the new version.
So sit tight everyone, WP2.0 will be making its way to the public eye very soon. - darkfate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it changed from

Check out this article from Harold Davis at O'reilly.com from back in May about stitching from MT to WP (1.5, of course). I'd say the reasons just get a little strong with 2.0, particularly with Akismet spam filter.

Themes and plugins seem to work fine.. and the spam filter is freakin awesome, its SOOOO much better than the plugins I've had before. Its zapped em all.
