- MarkJaquith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16People who are upgrading from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3 and don't want to waste time uploading files that haven't changed can go here:

I compiled a "changed files only" zip, a diff (patch file) and a plain text list of the files that have changed.- mayan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love wordpress but what I don't like doing is having to reinstall all of my custom hacks just to get the latest version. Thanks a lot for the patch file Mark :)
- TugsMcgroin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for providing just the changes, it makes things easier. Not that upgrade is hard or anything...
- actionscripted, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3If you're a Dreamhost customer all you have to do is click a button to upgrade.
- bwd01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At the time I typed this, the upgrade isn't availible on their panel yet.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4alot of webhosting companies have the fantastico script installed, so it's not only dreamhost.
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Maybe they'll patch it so it can take a digging. Half the sites murdered by digg are WordPress sites.
- vannoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Most of the time when a WordPress site takes a heavy digging and dies it's the fault of the host and not WP...
- ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You can fix this by using the wp-cache plugin. It will cache your pages into static html instead of dynamiclly creating it each time, which dramaticly improves speed and overall performance in serious visitor spikes.
- cavemonkey50, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Do not install this update yet. They let some bugs slip by. All comments which contain quotes will have a backslash before the quote. There is also some issues with the new confirmation dialog when editing comments. Right now both issues have been fixed in trunk so expect a 2.0.3.1 release in the next day or so.
- dako, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Here's a way to fix it, by the guy from the first post. Thanks Mark :P

WordPress features the "Famous 5-minute Install." Mark has it beat with the "30-Second Upgrade." Thanks again, Mark. - MarkJaquith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Welcome, all. :-)
For those annoyed by the various "Are you sure?" dialogs (they shouldn't be showing up for normal WP operations), I wrote a plugin that fixes a bunch of those annoyances (5 bugs fixed by the plugin, as of this posting).
