- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice ++Dugg handy sometime :D
- Giddygoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Not only is it a duplicate, but for a tech-news site a link to a reference isn't pertinent (as helpful as it may be)
Might as well start posting entries to the dictionary.

- MaxiMax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can be use full!
- shrapnull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It would be nicer if they included some of the commands for mainstream Microsoft software like 'dcpromo' for Active Direcory or 'aspnet_regiis' for IIS that too many people don't know about but should.
- MaxiMax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can be use full...
- illigalmixes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If only something like this that was equaly legible to a LINUX n00b existed.
I can't figure out how to god damn install a different Media Player on Suse OR Thunderbird. GGAHHHH...
if anyone can be a tech support for random (easy to answer) questions... or knows a place I can use. Help out.
Console Hell. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0From a n00b to another: you are welcome.
- SoccerBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice list... DIGG
- Duke999R, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Much appreciated by a command line n00b.
- iaskedTGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some people are willing to work only
if they can start at the top and work up.
Thank You, I lost this bookmark a while ago! - chicksdigme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice heads-up. But who uses the cmd line in win xp anyway. One more thing, I hate as separator in path name. Perhaps I am just not used to it.
- WUXIII, on 02/10/2008, -0/+0great for batch nubs like me

Format C: - sjrberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Umm, this is actually included with Windows XP in a help file...
- dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I actually thought this was pretty interesting. I knew about most of these but I had never heard of the pushd and popd commands. Although I couldn't think of a use for them at this second, I had to test it out. I guess a.d.d. struck me too...
- branmuffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Chmod would be cacls or xcacls, but I found both commands difficult to get right.

Guess I need to post my JFK was assassinated story 8-)
- no digg from me for being years old - noelsusman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hasn't this same "OMG THE MOST COMPLETE COMMAND LIST EVER!!!1!11!!" that gets posted every week and somehow makes it to the frond page.
- Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1What was on the front page a few days ago was a four year old blog entry talking about only some of these commands. I expect that this post was a well played retort to that.
[golf claps] - mitul0520, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0ABSOLUTELY NO DIGG.
- MrStylz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0start >> run... >> cmd >> help
help [command] - tzmguitarist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0distracts? forgive me for saying, but are we THAT a.d.d. that you can't overlook an article that you don't want to read? i'm sorry but i didn't hear anyone complaining 3 weeks ago when there were no fewer than 12 articles that had the exact same usb peripherals (air darts anyone?) i'm starting to loathe digg for the very reason that i loved it in the first place - user contribution and commentary.
- Netweb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0F1 or Start Help and Support
Then type 'command line' - gonffen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0OMFG LAME
NO DIGG - timlopez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Well, I'm pretty 1337 with this stuff, but still a nice reference when showing someone.

http://digg.com/software/List_of_Windows_XP_Commands - Pasukun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No Digg..
If you have XP or 2000, you already have this info.
Just press "F1" from the desktop and search by the word "Command-line reference". - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No CHMOD?
- interiot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0WTF? You can get to the front page now by posting official manuals? What has digg come to?
Not to mention the manual can be found with a modicrum of Google skills:
1) find a handful of representative members of the list. In this case, the easiest way to do this is to type "help" at the XP command line. I chose these because they were likely to be more unique: label graftabl setlocal
2) Add to the query "site:microsoft.com" so you only get official hits.
3) Voila, a variety of A-Z manual pages, in japanese, for Win2000, etc etc... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=label+GRAFTABL+setlocal+site%3Amicrosoft.com&btnG=Search - Burmask, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0C'mon people! Why are windows help files being posted and how on earth are they making it to the front page. Is tech news really that slow right now?
Quit fu*king digging everything. - Fly1m1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Nice...digg++
