- spookyttws, on 10/12/2007, -25/+160I think this is really cool! And so do the other 6228 people who dugg with 9 days ago!

Again, Paradox forgot the most important part. "Where's the freakin' cool background and funky techno music?" - MaLaCoiD, on 10/12/2007, -4/+88I get a BSOD, but I found a fix:
"The BSOD error is caused by the Update from Microsoft named Nforce4 PCI-Express Root Port (also included in Nvidia drivers).
1. If you got the BSOD, find a way (safemode or dualboot) to rename the file in windowssystem32driversroyal.sys to royal2.sys
2. Your should not get the BSOD the next time you restart.
Go to Control panel -> Device Manager.
3. Under System Devices you should see the Nforce4 PCI-Express Root Port.
4. Right-click and choose Properties.
5. Under the Driver tab choose Roll Back Driver.
6. BEFORE you restart rename windowssystem32driversroyal2.sys back to royal.sys
7. Restart now and it should be activated!" - sannm, on 10/12/2007, -5/+52I dugg the other one too this one has a GUI and other improvements...RTFA!!
- PATSCRU, on 10/12/2007, -7/+51i missed the story when it was submitted then, but glad i caught it now...
oh paradox, is there anything you can't do? - AngryBoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+45Actually, I'm pretty sure Microsoft would rather you ran a stolen copy of Vista than Linux. At least then they can still claim market dominance, which is an asset.
- angrycat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+45You're wrong, piracy actually benefits kittens and puppies. Owners have more money in their pocket which is spent on toys and legs of ham.
- jihadjohnson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38@spookyttws
This is a one click version of that, so that people who have no idea what they are doing can screw Microsoft too. Stop hogging all the glory! - weizilla, on 10/12/2007, -6/+38have you heard of periods? they go at the end of sentences.
- XedLos, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28Well if x64 gets cracked i would really be impressed
- tafkase7en, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27Moron..this is a ONE CLICK version, instead of doing all the changes manually.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -24/+45I'm willing to bet that many of the people actually using cracks for Vista are in their teenage years or college years with barely any income. For that matter, most of you guys comment on how bad Vista is, and yet you still want to use it cracked?'
I don't see what's so hard about buying an OEM copy off of newegg. - gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23It's funny. He used commas, but not periods.
Maybe a period makes him feel invalid as a man? Who knows. - alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -8/+29I'll just be me and my trusty abacus.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24I'm running the PaRaDoX OEM crack for Vista and it's been working great. Updates work and no other problems! :) I'm definitely one happy Ultimate camper.
- kronix2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20The original Paradox crack requires the user to do a bit of work. Somebody's packaged the crack into a one-click deal.
- alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -7/+25hey, it deserves a second go!
- whiteguysamurai, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21I feel a little sorry for microsoft this time around, no more than a few months and it's already crack beyond repair.
Then again, i actually like using vista. - xpantz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18whats the point in MS trying to fix it when their fix will just be unfixed again.
MS have 2 types of 'customers'.. those who pay and those who won't... between the 2 it's a microsoft world they should just be happy with that. - specialforcesl, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Download link is posted as a comment in this article.
- EntangledPhysx, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21Because you ain't cool unless you got Vista.
- splitriff, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15works very well, 5 minutes and a restart is all it takes. vista is a huge improvement over xp. spend a month with vista and see for yourself
- klawz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16I got a free version of Vista (remember the education classes MS offered for a free vista biz and free office 2007), and I still use the cracks because I don't want to deal with the WGA *****.
- elvenseven, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11KISS
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11"Mine too, with both VGA and the various TV and HD outputs from my video card."
The reason yours works and 'all the doctors laptops' didn't work is because your story isn't totally made up. - ryodoan, on 10/12/2007, -21/+30I have a free copy of vista through the PowerTogether promotional campaign. I reformat my computers rediculously often, why? Hell-if-I-know, Do you know how big of a hassle it is to call up the XP Indian Tech support to get your key reactivated?
Then there was the time that XP insisted I had pirated my copy because a cryptography service went screwy.
Right now I dont have my copy of Vista installed on any of my machines because I dont see the point yet, I have had to debug programs at work on it, and that was enough Vista for me.
I am holding onto this for now so that when I finally do decide to use Vista at some point, I have a way that I can uninstall-reinstall to my hearts content without dealing with the god damn Indians. - surfff, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13I installed this copy on my system about 3 days ago, it runs FLAWLESSLY!!! Very happy
- sirber, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9@arunforce
What's the goal to rar a zip, which has a zip inside? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9whiteguy, what's your email address?
- cvrefugee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9This is the first time I've purchased Windows since ME (yeah, I know - worst version ever). I've been using the beta version of Vista for almost a year, and I really like it. Plus $70 for a legit OS doesn't cost all that much, especially when you're using it everyday - http://www.academicsuperstore.com/item/?tname=273235&title=Vista
- schmiggyjk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Maybe I need to start using this.
I got a deal on ultimate retail full, 180$ I believe it was.
I am using Vista in a dual boot setting with XP as I am testing it for a hardware gaming site in a on going vista blog. I purposely subjected myself to this for the purpose of having content to publish to the site and because I like a lot of us like to be on the cutting edge. I figured a "cutting edge os" for all my top of the line hardware.
Well on 3 different occasions now I have had to activate via the phone with some random person in God knows where who barely spoke english.
Since installing I have updated only two hardware components, a 8800GTS, which required a new activation even though GPU's arent supposed to. And days after a 680I motherboard install I had to also. (to be expected per the license, but days afterwards?). And one other random time which I have no idea what caused it.
There supposedly was a fix for this happening. Tried to download it and install it, apparently "this patch was not made for your system".
Joyous.
Lesson learned today?
Sometimes going legit with windows isnt all its "cracked" up to be. - Visceral, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9check out keznews.com for the various vista fixes, including this one.
- whiteguysamurai, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Yes you do, there are lots of great people working at Microsoft, just because there are some old idiots still there making mistakes doesn't mean everyone there should pay.
- Cyraq, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Excellent!
Mirror: http://anapnea.net/~cyraq/vistacrack.zip - tommyboy180, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Reading the comments are so much better than reading the article.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"If you want to be a Microsoft customer, you must be smoking crack."
There's a legit use of Customer and Crack.. - o0joshua0o, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This will improve Vista's market penetration dramatically.
- Hootyea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@Goatrandy
Smart doesn't mean it deserves to be dugg up.
We could all go indepth on one topic or another, and since no one else gets anything out of it, the comment is useless. - Dotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6But it also stops it in the 3-day period where updates and everything work, and even if they remove the timerstop crack in an update, you still have 30 days to redo it.
What's an advantage to using this OEM key, which can easily become blacklisted and not work? TimerStop allows for Genuine software to be installed, always. Does this? - redlemon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6i swear i was only trying to call out your poor spelling!
- PATSCRU, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6angryboy, i think you hit it on the head right there
- specialforcesl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Dude, you call him a retard just coz he mistyped the date? Remeber we all are not english.
A 'retard' wouldn't be able to automate a BIOS hack lol. - Tr3vor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@ gcnaddict
can't even afford the OEM because 189 dollars is still a hell of a lot of money for a college student - venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5TimerStop merely stops the timer of the 30 day grace period during which you can use Vista without a product key. This actually activates Vista using an OEM key.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5nah the real key is to not allow automatic updates to install without your permission. That way, you can just look at the updates and reject the WGA patch :)
- Dotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5What's the difference between this and TimerStop?
- geoken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"That way, you can just look at the updates and reject the WGA patch :)"
Then they'll just make the WGA patch neccessary to download updates like they've done in the past. - elvenseven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Anytime you see a pathetic spammer like this, make a report to Digg so they get banned and then block them by clicking on the block icon on the right of their nick.
- whiteguysamurai, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Never mind, got it.
Already did the paradox one, but it's nice to share ;) - Anonymous3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Although if people can't follow instructions the first time around, isn't this more a case of KIS4S?
