- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -24/+43Here's a much better list of free software: http://thepiratebay.org/brwsearch.php?b=1&d=300
- donda, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21geez, digg effect, the site went down in less than 60 mins
But here is the mirror copy,
http://121space.com/index.php?showtopic=886 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -18/+28i guess it's just not another day without a software list... :-/
i don't care. i'll still pirate photoshop, macromedia studio and all my OS's! - Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Yeah Opensource!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open-source_software_packages
- hasbeen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I've always liked this list (from neowin).
http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=320017 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i pirate linux ;]
- m99stump, on 07/29/2008, -0/+6www.opensourcemac.org
And yeah, I haven't had to pirate software in years (for Windows or OS X), thank you FOSS. - encryptz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I have always enjoyed the ever so popular Software For Starving Students. Here's a list:
http://www.softwarefor.org/ad_lazarum_packages.html - Edgen22, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Actually, as it turns out, software such as Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop, have no comparable freeware alternatives. These things [are suppose to] cost alot of money for a reason.
- ThePDW, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9The question is... do any of these have spyware?
- mzhao, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Which is why there are some legal music sharing services that look and act like whatever P2P program some pirates use.
- Toiling, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7I agree melo, I'm just waiting for this site to go down... :)
Edit: it just went down! this site didn't last 60 minutes! sheesh.
Good thing I saved it to a txt file.
Maybe Try this in a bit, it seems to be messed up too:
http://tacfug.org.nyud.net:8080/blog/index.cfm?mode=entry&entry=C1205F0E-36D1-E29A-8C7F6B19CDB0060F - h0dg3s, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6why would you want to do that? leave it as is
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+10do they have any software that i can get to pirate more software..? hehe
- DigeratiPrime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the list on the neowin forums is possibly the most comprehensive and I'm proud to have contributed a little bit to it.
Funny thing is alot of people 'steal' from the list, post it on another site, and then digg that site. sigh. - deluxndotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1now thats what im talking about
- ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2iTunes and a handful of others aren't open source
- CerebralVisions, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I want a list made for me. Include the open source alternatives for After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, etc. The video world. that would be cool.
- vawlk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2apparently, the slashdot list was taken from neowin.net
- vawlk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nm I was wrong :p
- DriversPlaza, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1wow i got lots more @ http://www.techlookz.com/application-downloads/
- vawlk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4No Digg
The list was ripped from a slashdot post
http://it.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=134069&threshold=1&commentsort=0&tid=172&tid=201&tid=185&mode=nested&cid=11190469 - DigeratiPrime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/
however converting from one lossy format to another has a negative effect on the quality. - inkhead, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2nothing doing but most of the software on this list, has horrible GUIs. Not to mention apps like photoshop can't be replaced with GIMP. GIMP has limited color controls, pantone support, and anything to do with printing. No professional could use it in place of photoshop
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Q: Who needs to pirate software with a list like this?
A: Canadians!
http://digg.com/music/Canada_has_the_highest_online_music_piracy_rate_per_capita_in_the_world - kualla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This list is very nice but it lacks information of each program. I know there is a main link but a short description of each program would be real nice. Still a great list and definatly a good dig.
- Cheeze_Head, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, thanks DigeratiPrime, I need it for my LG VX8100 phone
I know about http://www.howardforums.com/ but they don't address my phones software version (T81VZV06) on how to play mp3's.
I'm OK with a slight degradation of sound quality for this purpose - thehum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0umm what about office applications and dvd players- OpenOffice.org but free dvdplayer?
- noelsusman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Who needs free software when you can just pirate software (for free) and get something a million times better!
- seanmc303, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You want to see a REALLY REALLY SUPER COOL FREE SOFTWARE LIST that has about 2000+ more titles than this list? Try installing a linux distro like Suse and play with the Yast packet manager. This will make your eyes pop out of your head if you happen to enjoy free software.
- mijman2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2if it has no freeware than whats the use to it??? ;)
May be ya ment adware :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"softwares" should be "software"
It's singular and plural, at the same time! Ching! - Jagmatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There is alot of fluff in here but programs like Blender and a few of hte firewalls are decent - Try SNORT for a free intrusion detection system!
- inactive, on 11/26/2007, -0/+0Cheapest and the best data recovery service in the world.

elevator shoes
Turn any shoes into height increase elevator shoes. - ldhertert, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1to be completely honest, I've never understood why windows media player doesn't let you convert at least from mp3 to wma, and i'd like to see it vice versa. The former would only serve to benefit them, and they do claim that it's the superior format, so why not provide a tool built in?
- ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Most likely, yes.
- ed.2112, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4To answer the question... I do.
- yurivish, on 10/12/2007, -13/+11Freeware counterparts to commercial software don't preclude people from pirating. There's just a certain innate satisfaction and thrill from knowing you're doing an illegal thing that you can't get from legitimately acquiring software.
That is an awesome list, and I'll be snagging a few things from there all the same.
http://gh.ffshrine.org?r=762 - rolosworld, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2who needs pirated software when theres linux + gpl software?

Have at it. - deluxndotcom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Not that great...sorry, I would rather pirate, not that I do...
