- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18I am tired of people saying blah blah no digg. Nobody cares.
- tapo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Man, this is like the end of a movie, when they give out all the useless factoids.
"Protagonist and his wife had two children, and were never interested in disturbing graveyards again.
Old Jim Raynor continues to smell of liquor to this very day."
Or maybe one of those E! specials on what happened to Gary Coleman, etc. - Kitsune818, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Ugg, I wish people would point out if they are linking to video content or not.. some of us get in trouble for opening up streams, you know...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4There is no web 2.0, only spork
- hinten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2and not enough 'o's.
- solidcube, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They've been taken to the Congo, where they were last seen staked to the ground with their feet buried in fireant mounds.
- tiuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Glad I'm not the only one who thought "Who cares?" upon reading the title.
- KCorax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2interesting read:
Scoble has linked to this: http://scobleizer.wordpress.com/2006/04/25/whatever-happened-to-ie-team/ - foovo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, 2.0 many useless buzzwords
- joshwehatetech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3People seem to forget that Web 2.0 is directly tied into AJAX. AJAX really started with the Introduction of OWA 2000. It might be the last inovative thing Microsoft did with Internet Explorer, but it took 4-5 years for the rest of the world to entertain the idea we want some lightweight framework to interact with a webpage.
Until IE drops to a minority hold of website traffic sadly most websites will be designed with IE in mind to make it work with IE and every other browser (but in particular IE). - stokestack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's neither clever nor useful.
And there IS an Internet2, by the way. And so far, thankfully, it remains the domain of education and research, not worthless commercial crap. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2To many useless buzz words in the headline description.
- stokestack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, "Web 2.0" = LAME every time.
But WTF are you talking about with the codec reference? - stokestack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Come on, man.
Everyone on this board and every other should know there's no "Web 2.0". Wake up. - drgordonfreeman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I disagree. I think user-generated content is much more central to Web 2.0 than interface tricks.

- deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Did I hear this guy correctly? They integrated the IE team into the Windows team? That's terrifying news to me.
- dWhisper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Aren't they working on IE7?
- Fantt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2No, it's not relevant. For that matter, is browser choice (as long as you're not running IE) relevant in a Web 2.0 world?
- fwonkas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What gets me is that it seems that a lot of people have commented on this without actually watching the video.
Granted, it's a long video.
Still, the impression I got was that they decided that they felt they had really hit the limit on DHTML, XHTML, etc. The IE team moved on to WPF and XAML (disclaimer -- I don't know much about either -- I'm a Mac and Linux guy). Yeah, they slacked on IE, but that's because they felt (at the time, anyway) that it was kind of a dead end. Turned out things took a lot longer than they thought.
Again, I'd just encourage people to actually watch the interview before they make the same boring, predictable insults. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Who the ***** cares about IE6? It's slow, bloated crapware with an open invitation to viruses and trojans like no other browser. They should have been dumped into the pacific ocean. Coming to think of it, Bill gates should have gone first followed by Ballmer.
- TreasureChest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1When they were caught using FF, sorry I mean Fx :)
http://digg.com/software/Get_Firefox_-_Battle_of_the_Browsers_Video - zestcitron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"Is Windows Vista relevant in a Web 2.0 world?" This is the main idea.
Google coming with a web-based OS, all streamed...would you be able to live w/o google search and all the other goodies in beta? That's with or without buying SUN.
Microsoft just woke up...and is scared... - b4k4, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Lame
- MrUnderbridge, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Except none of that crap actually exists. Kiddies need to remember, for business software, no one cares about this so-called "Web 2.0" crap.
- ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -13/+5Who gives a ***** about google?!?!
OH MY GOD!1!!1 I have no Google to search the net with!!j111 I have to use something else!1! Oh the humanity!1
*yawn* - thewise1, on 10/12/2007, -29/+12No digg just because you said web 2.0 to get extra traffic
