- limi, on 01/05/2008, -18/+101Best BitTorrent client on any platform. Open source. Go Transmission!
- softwareelves, on 01/05/2008, -4/+72Almost year 3 old, transmission is still alive and firing on all cylinders (pun intended). Good job Transmission Developers on all you hard work.
Transmission WebUI ~> http://www.ClutchBT.com *shameless plug* - RevToTheRedline, on 01/05/2008, -14/+69It's good but not the best, if uTorrent made its way to OSX I'd be a lot more happy.
- SaintStryfe, on 01/05/2008, -2/+52god I wish Demonoid was still up.
- AndreasTh, on 01/05/2008, -0/+34Though I think the buttons are uglier than before (leopard), this update is very appreciated as transmission has been behaving strange for a while.
Best torrent client I've used so far.
Dugg. - colonelpanic, on 01/05/2008, -2/+34awesome. best client on the os x platform.
- lukas88, on 01/05/2008, -1/+32Yes, but does it have a hidden tetris mini game?
- greatcaffeine, on 01/05/2008, -1/+30Awesome! Congrats on version 1.0!
- phunlee, on 01/05/2008, -2/+22he's getting dugg down b/c it was a dumb comment.
it's all CAR parts. does that not bring the pun together enough for you guys?
***** jackasses. - ThreeDee912, on 01/05/2008, -0/+20"any other Mac developer would charge $20+"
Like Dave Watanabe, who stole Transmission's source code, slapped a pretty UI on it, and called it Xtorrent. - darkphan, on 01/05/2008, -1/+20Probably a goog thing, since Transmission is not for Windows...
- andejp12, on 01/05/2008, -1/+19Yay I just bought an iMac yesterday and was looking for a great client :)
- fissionignition, on 01/05/2008, -1/+17Anybody else miss the gears?
- LtXenodite, on 01/05/2008, -1/+17My friend's actually on the dev team. He's laughing maniacally at the massive traffic surge.
- trvr, on 01/05/2008, -0/+15"Version 0.2 Released January 44th, 2008! Source download for 0.2 coming soon. (Grab from SVN if you need it badly)"
I just can't wait until the 44th of January! - richardiscool, on 01/05/2008, -2/+16I want my colourful icons back :(
- Draje, on 01/05/2008, -0/+13It just needs DHT and I would switch instantly.
- ThreeDee912, on 01/05/2008, -0/+12Yeah. All of that was added back in 0.8.x (or was it 0.9?).
Anyway, here's a torrent of Transmission 1.0, with release notes, in case you are upgrading from 0.9.6, as the auto-update server is sssslllooooww: http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3962166 - JohnClay, on 01/05/2008, -0/+11It's good to go on 10.4, but the new interface is designed for 10.5, so there are a few minor UI bugs in Tiger.
- amdprophet, on 01/05/2008, -1/+11Hehe, I'm one of the executives of Aelatis Technology, and as far as I know we're the only people hosting the OS X version of Transmission 1.00. I'm surprised our server is handling it so well. Congrats to the Transmission dev team for the 1.00 release! Keep up the good work!
- aussieNickuss, on 01/05/2008, -0/+9That's what updates are for......to eliminate problems.
- Disparity, on 01/05/2008, -0/+9BUT THE BITS ARE ON WHEELS! WHEELS!!!!
- ThreeDee912, on 01/05/2008, -0/+9You do know that hasn't been updated since 2005, right?
- agaudet, on 01/05/2008, -0/+9Demoinoid hosted the most files out there, had the most amount of cracked software available that was all clean and tested, no fakes ever, what more could yu want?
- ThreeDee912, on 01/05/2008, -0/+8...which were fixed in .96...
- JaredXM, on 01/05/2008, -1/+9So is this good to go on 10.4? It says that 10.5 is strongly recommended.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -0/+7Do you have to be so ***** rude? Heartless ***** you are.
- arcticblue, on 01/05/2008, -1/+8I really like Transmission because it's so lightweight and one of the very few good free Mac apps...any other Mac developer would charge $20+. I got tired of leaving my Mac on all the time though, so I just put TorrentFlux on my MythTV box which is on all the time anyway, but I still use Transmission for quick downloads.
- JohnClay, on 01/05/2008, -1/+81.00 is just a number to us. Take from that what you will.
- deadbaby, on 01/05/2008, -1/+8SPAM = hate
- GrfxGuru, on 01/05/2008, -4/+11Gratz on the 1.0 release, best client I've used.
- Baryn, on 01/05/2008, -3/+10Just torrent 10.5, and you have nothing to worry about.
- D3koy, on 01/05/2008, -1/+8Hey, I love Obama as much as the next guy, but there's no need to spam...
- Lambeco, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6There's no uTorrent for Mac. Transmission is for Mac. R,C,P.
- overloadgimpy, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6For your information, xtorrent uses transmission's backend. so they are actually Identical.
- grignr, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6Awfully damn good on Linux too...
- KRNpro, on 01/05/2008, -10/+16Mmm...
I don't get your pun. A transmission doesn't have cylinders... - JohnClay, on 01/05/2008, -1/+7You're actually 1 of 3 servers, but you're pulling most of the weight ;)
- Hojohto, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6Hopefully I'll get clean exits now.
- inactive, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6Me too. Invites accepted...
- Sayo, on 01/05/2008, -0/+6I am completely in love with this client. It does everything I need it to, doesn't hog resources, and it's completely simple. The 1.0 release really makes my day. The new leopard look is pretty snazzy too.
- HaloZero, on 01/05/2008, -0/+5site's down...... anybody got a changelog?
- jfish, on 01/05/2008, -2/+7Yuck, the new Leopard UI for Transmision sucks compared to the old version. The icons are less descriptive and hard to tell apart.
- HaloZero, on 01/05/2008, -3/+8They're making one
- HydrogenOxide, on 01/05/2008, -4/+9Not if uTorrent came to OS X so I could pirate properly on my desktop, like what RevToTheRedline said, but I still agree being the best Current OS X Torrent climate
- iSmart, on 01/05/2008, -0/+5Just a temporary page to help Apache recover from the Digg attack...
http://mirrors.m0k.org/transmission/files/Transmis ... - DigDugDigger, on 01/05/2008, -0/+5...and even after paying for XTorrent, the Transmission guys still give better support. Seriously. Check the reviews:

- omghax, on 01/05/2008, -0/+5So off topic, but so true. :(
- JohnClay, on 01/05/2008, -1/+6We're actually distributing our load over 4 servers, 1 a dedicated Apache-only, another dedicated for download only, 2 others that are shared for downloading.
At any rate, here is a direct download link:
