- andrewcsayer, on 01/30/2008, -4/+260every time you download a torrent, God creates a kitten.
- ref-d, on 01/30/2008, -8/+112And when you jack-off to your downloaded porn, god kills that kitten.
- nitsnipe, on 01/30/2008, -1/+57This list should have included more material on how to protect yourself from getting caught from the RIAA and others.
- MondoMan, on 01/30/2008, -1/+39I use Transmission mostly because of it's amazingly simple interface. Azureus is more of a power app to me, I wanted the bare essentials so Transmission was a great choice.
- centran, on 01/31/2008, -0/+34It evens itself out.... the circle is complete.
- vibrokatana, on 01/30/2008, -14/+47The best viruses are made for the crappiest OS

ROFL. OMG IT INDEXES 3 PUBLIC TRACKERS WIN
and this was high on the list.. - sfacets, on 01/30/2008, -0/+24...except it isn't stealing.
- inactive, on 01/31/2008, -0/+23technically is sharing, mother always said its good to share!
- skyshock1, on 01/31/2008, -0/+22Azureus is too slow for me. Transmission is nice because it runs quickly (native app as opposed to Java).
- kylejn, on 01/31/2008, -0/+20YES. Transmission is fast, has all the features I use, and isn't a hog like Azureus. Give Transmission a try; if you hate it, just go back to Azureus, but I'm almost certain you'll love it.
- Authustian, on 01/30/2008, -1/+20True, but he didn't say windows either, he said REAL computer. *nix me up :)
- sfacets, on 01/30/2008, -1/+20...and then humans download said kitten.
- cfuse, on 01/31/2008, -1/+18What if you just download the porn but don't watch it? Is it a case of Schrödinger's cat - the cat exists in both a live and dead state until I cum?
- Superfreak77, on 01/31/2008, -0/+16I'm outside NorthamUSACanada, Riaa can suck my balls!
ne ne ne ne ne!! - victorycig, on 01/30/2008, -5/+19I switched to Mac a couple years ago, took Azureus with me, and have never tried Transmission. Is Transmission really that much better than the OS X build of Azureus?
- davesawyer, on 01/30/2008, -1/+14I second MondoMan. I was a huge Azureus user when I had a PC, and it was great. But I've been using Transmission ever since I made the switch and haven't looked back. Just barebones file transfer really, which is what I was looking for.
- BMNB1tches, on 01/30/2008, -2/+14Maybe because it's clean, efficient, variety, 2.0, and You.
- digitalarcanum, on 01/31/2008, -1/+13hey, you can have transmission, I've nothing but love for utorrent.
- rstarr, on 01/31/2008, -0/+11No, Al Gore.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -1/+12My fav on linux was ktorrent, even though they have azureus for linux i always found it to be buggy. Ktorrent reminds me of utorrent, i recommend it for all linux users.
- Ebeach, on 01/31/2008, -0/+11Xtorrent is based on Transmission. Save your money and use the free (and open source) version.
- djbon2112, on 01/30/2008, -5/+16Hrm, they failed to mention that uTorrent runs flawlessly in WINE. Otherwise, very good.
- likwidfuzion, on 01/31/2008, -1/+10µTorrent's small footprint and excellent performance/speeds = Win.
- HydrogenOxide, on 01/31/2008, -0/+9Is there a torrent for that?
- Birdoftruth, on 01/30/2008, -8/+17God lifehacker is one of the most impressive blogs out there. It seems like it always has something interesting.
- MattBD, on 01/31/2008, -2/+10I really like Deluge in Kubuntu.
- KMartSheriff, on 01/31/2008, -0/+8Media Access Control (MAC address)?
- Braxo, on 01/30/2008, -2/+9amazing
- rickremixx, on 01/30/2008, -3/+10love transmission and my MAC ill never go back
- BMNB1tches, on 01/30/2008, -6/+13Great Guide. This will definitely help rookies in the underground world of Torrents, or even polish up those veteran skills.
No more Napster or Kazaa or Limewire or Rapidshare or Megaupload for me. - wiserwii, on 01/30/2008, -3/+10http://torrentem.com is a cool tool too. .... they should put it on the list....
The same with www.bitlet.org and some gresemonkey scripts - skyshock1, on 01/31/2008, -0/+7Um, no. I've had it running under WINE occasionally, but now there's an issue where the GUI doesn't show up even though the process is shown as running when running $ ps aux. When it DOES show up, it's fantastic, but it's not flawless yet.
- rstarr, on 01/31/2008, -0/+7Yeah, except there's no commercials...
- Rikkochet, on 01/31/2008, -1/+8Are you a knight who says "ne"?
- NinjaJoey, on 01/31/2008, -0/+7Nokia N95 kills the iPhone. And it's older. And cheaper. And can copy and paste...
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7You will be surprised at what your missing out on
- sfacets, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6Then welcome!
- digitalarcanum, on 01/31/2008, -1/+7never underestimate the power of a good *****. www.shareminer.com is a good site for searching file upload site(s) and it's a good backup in the event that you can't find obscure things on your favorite torrent site, or even better, your torrent site is showing torrents with no seeds or peers.
- digitalarcanum, on 01/31/2008, -1/+7I think peer guardian should've came in first place instead of being an honorable mention. What with traffic shaping isps and the MAFIAA on the wild interwebs, you can never be too careful.
- rkzda, on 01/31/2008, -1/+7Don't digg the guy down.
Welcome. Take a look at the list, and have fun! - adml_shake, on 01/31/2008, -0/+6I want that on a shirt
- zaqarov, on 01/31/2008, -3/+8Azureus is Java, which is supposed to be slower. (because it's cross-platform it uses more memory and stuff, not connection-wise).
Transmission is really lightweight but I also get the feeling some trackers don't like Transmission. I still prefer it over Azureus though.
My ubuntu box (home+download server) has deluge on it, an excellent client, so if you're on a linux, you should try that one. - inactive, on 01/31/2008, -0/+5What kind of P2P user actually pays for his client?
- psxman, on 01/31/2008, -1/+6Bob Barker must be pissed.
- digitalarcanum, on 01/31/2008, -2/+7the good lord giveth and he taketh away?
- Shadow503, on 01/31/2008, -3/+8You make me ashamed to own a PC.
- gyrfalcon, on 01/31/2008, -0/+5wtf are you posting this for, you want free gay spam?
done! - inactive, on 01/31/2008, -0/+5Yes you can select which individual files you want to download. You can also set priorities, though only as download first, neutral, and download last.
- Waskonator, on 01/30/2008, -2/+6RTFA!
