  • skyshock1, on 01/31/2008, -0/+7Um, no. I've had it running under WINE occasionally, but now there's an issue where the GUI doesn't show up even though the process is shown as running when running $ ps aux. When it DOES show up, it's fantastic, but it's not flawless yet.

  • digitalarcanum, on 01/31/2008, -1/+7never underestimate the power of a good *****. www.shareminer.com is a good site for searching file upload site(s) and it's a good backup in the event that you can't find obscure things on your favorite torrent site, or even better, your torrent site is showing torrents with no seeds or peers.

  • zaqarov, on 01/31/2008, -3/+8Azureus is Java, which is supposed to be slower. (because it's cross-platform it uses more memory and stuff, not connection-wise).
    Transmission is really lightweight but I also get the feeling some trackers don't like Transmission. I still prefer it over Azureus though.
    My ubuntu box (home+download server) has deluge on it, an excellent client, so if you're on a linux, you should try that one.
