- greggles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Seems to me there's a little bias in the list, but at least you got number 5 right! (number 5 is http://drupal.org/project/pathauto)
- sime, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Some of these definitely qualify as glorified snippets. But hey, great chat x40! Thanks :)
- SwissCamel, on 10/11/2007, -16/+1Sorry guys, I can't make any ***** comments because I don't know what Drupal is.
- jackhole, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9That's okay, your comment was still pretty *****.
- Lukesed, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Am I the only one the finds the phrase "Drupal modules" extremely unappealing?
- bacchus101, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I'd throw in global redirect, page title and Search 404 if you were attempting to improve SERPs.....and my favorite module has to be category for "running up the score" on google.
Note: Amazon Associates module over Adsense? Not so much...- eaton, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Adsense is a convenience wrapper around stuff you can do with custom blocks and Google's existing javascript code, etc. Amazon Associate Tools is an entire set of functionality that you just can't get without it. AdSense is cool, but I'd be sunk without Amazon Tools. :-)
- davereid20, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1It would be nice to see the current project download statistics from Drupal again. I haven't seen that since January I think...
- audiocollective, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1This is a great list... i haven't gone much outside of 4.7 but I'm doing two sites on 5.1 right now. It seems like everything all the modules get broken with each big update... not fun! that needs to be fixed so people can start really relying on drupal as a quality CMS and not have to worry so much about future upgrades.
- badtiki, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3#35 is a MUST! Simplenews changed my life - just check out www.sectnews.com - still a work in progress but It fully works as a mass mailer - and no im not a spammer - I send authenticated newsletters for my local tourism district.
- RobbieTheGeek, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3I think that Lullabot has done a great job publicizing, and promoting Drupal around the net. They have also done a few high profile sites and brought up the image of Drupal as a full fledged solution for high profile projects, community, corporate or otherwise. I have been listening to the podcast since Leo mentioned that they were doing TWIT.TV and then talked about Drupal as the back end. Leo re-introduced me and a lot of people to Drupal, but Jeff and company have really opened my eyes and I am sure a lot of others to the power and community of Drupal. I have joined the cult of Drupal and have actually started a side business based around it, that wouldn't have happened without the men and Angie (LOL) at Lullabot, their passion and enthusiasm on the podcast and their technical skills with core Drupal development and numerous contributed modules, and everything in between.
Thanks
Robbie(theGeek) - Cl1mh4224rd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Why is Drupal Core on that list? "The #1 greatest Drupal project is Drupal itself!" Gee, you think?
- pvliii, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I'd love to see one of these lists for Joomla!
- techguy10, on 02/22/2008, -0/+0Seriously switch over to Drupal its worth the learning curve (coming from a former joomla user)
- xamox, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Sweet, they mentioned Case Tracker, and I'm extending that badboy this summer for the Google SoC project.
- mickipedia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I've worked with the Lullabot folks before and they're awesome.
- deusdiabolus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Why hasn't someone coded a way to download cake and champagne?
- slapthemonkey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I have never used Drupal but I like open source
- techguy10, on 02/22/2008, -0/+0Cool, led me to just the mod I was looking for
- pmarreddy, on 02/24/2008, -0/+0it helped me optimist my site swingwind.com
- digumo, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1For somebody pretty new to drupal, this was a VERY helpful list. I also was able to find modules for my project using these two sites http://drupalmodules.com and http://searchdrupal.org
