- Duffle, on 04/15/2009, -11/+316Assorted complaints.
- braudio, on 04/15/2009, -9/+294It looks like itunes.
- AaronCo, on 04/15/2009, -9/+232No tabs?
Look, I don't want "tree tabs" ok? Web browsing is not supposed to be a complex experience, it's supposed to be simple and to the point. With tabs I can easily open a dozen different sites. Don't overthink this, it's not hard.
I prefer classic tabs, I don't want it any more complex, and I don't need FF taking up even more resources. I don't need a little picture for every single website, I certainly don't want that crap sucking up even more CPU. If they mess this up I forsee a switch to something better in my future. Tabs should be a single-click process.
Seriously, less is more guys. Streamline the browser, make it lightweight and keep it easy to work with.
I mean really, an i-tunes theme? Give me a break, i-tunes is clunky garbage and I certainly don't need a "file system" of anything in a browser stealing more screen space. Simple is best. - inactive, on 04/15/2009, -8/+206And Mozilla has reached the line that they shouldn't cross. Improving a product simply for the sake of improvement when very few changes are necessary. If they aren't careful, they will have another bloated Internet Explorer-esque product on their hands.
I'm running the latest release of FF - 3.0.8. I LOVE it. It puts IE to shame. Please don't ***** this up, Mozilla. - sidianmsjones, on 04/15/2009, -3/+200LOUD NOISES
- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -19/+201Which is bad.
- TriplePlay2425, on 04/15/2009, -4/+183If they change it too much, it might lose what people loved about it. Of course, we don't HAVE to upgrade...
Of course, who knows. They may create something even more amazing and revolutionary... we shall see.
Taskfox looks pretty cool though. Kind of like Google's tools when you type in a search (like the calculator or conversion tool), except even more extensive (like the translator). - inactive, on 04/15/2009, -15/+146"as browsers are slowly turning into operating systems"

- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -2/+72Ugh, just thinking about you vommiting is making me vommmit.
- wastingpenguins, on 04/15/2009, -1/+63I think the problem that people have with tabbed browsing is that they fail to utilize the center click on their mouse. When I'm browsing search results, I center-click a whole slew of them into their own tabs, then sort through them one by one. If a result isn't what I wanted, I easily dispose of it by center-clicking that tab.
I know way too many people who fail to utilize the awesome browsing power of the center click. - inactive, on 04/15/2009, -1/+61Bacon comment about bacon.

- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -0/+41Reminds me of ICQ, once a tiny and very functional app that become the most disgusting piece of bloat-try2doitall software ever seen by pc users in the 90's.
- doshindude, on 04/15/2009, -12/+49I wouldn't want ANYTHING to look like iTunes.

- headzoo, on 04/15/2009, -3/+36They could also get caught with their pants down, when new comers like Chrome do implement those types of features, and everyone loves them.
It doesn't hurt for them to at least be ready for the future. - jamesdmorgan, on 04/15/2009, -2/+35Is it me or isn't that just iTunes with different icons?
- sarcasmosis, on 04/15/2009, -1/+32More like itunes? Are they ***** retarded?
- sanskrtam, on 04/15/2009, -1/+31It seems that the future of Firefox will have multiple forks.
- Elranzer, on 04/15/2009, -1/+30The toppings contain potassium benzoate.
...that's bad. - eq2s, on 04/15/2009, -4/+32iTunes is poor at managing a large amount of playlists and folders. It would be terrible if finding pages in firefox was as difficult as navigating through playlists in itunes.
- n0xxin, on 04/15/2009, -7/+34oh my they're gonna f*ck everything up...
browsers != operating systems
web 2.0 == marketing speak
we don't need no fancy "Web OS" to run fancy "Web 2.0 apps" (aka pages). What we want (IMHO) is a fast, efficient and simple yet powerful browser! WITH TABS!
Oh well, i guess its time to start adapting to chrome, just in case... - Defiant001, on 04/15/2009, -0/+27Grammer nazi spelling correction with nothing to actually add to the conversation.
- Baskinghobo, on 04/15/2009, -0/+25The future of firefox will have all addons and themes installable without restarting.
- scarz99, on 04/15/2009, -10/+35Hey, it still beats IE.
- Railz, on 04/15/2009, -0/+25For the record, Ubiquity is a great plug in for Firefox. I wouldn't mind this being built in, but tabs were Firefox's grace and you don't get rid of that.
- TriplePlay2425, on 04/15/2009, -5/+29Oh my... I even preferred IE over Netscape Navigator. I couldn't stand using Netscape Navigator.
IMO, IE isn't a terrible browser. It's just that there are so many free alternatives that are so much better. But Netscape... I hated that.
And yes, I do realize that Firefox is built on Netscape. But it is nothing like Netscape on my end, so I couldn't tell. - giloron, on 04/15/2009, -7/+30The mock up may be bad, but the idea looks like a good one.
- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -1/+24No, thank you.
- theone3, on 04/15/2009, -0/+23Complaint about limited comment threads and link to http://site-discussion-was-ripped-from
- bipolarruledout, on 04/15/2009, -1/+24No, no more forks. Stop with the forks already. This is a simple application that can be made modular to suit many differant needs. Just add these to a simple configuration wizard and be done with it. Maintaining additional sets of code with 90% of the same functionality is not the solution to everything.
- ttamshadbolt, on 04/15/2009, -0/+21Ubiquity is far too complicated for the average user - these are the people we should be actively trying to convert to FF, not scare away
- inactive, on 04/15/2009, -6/+26If not, I'm sticking with my current version. *****, I stuck with netscape navigator until firefox came out because IE sucked so much. I have no problem sticking with an old version that functions just fine.
- cyrusuncc, on 04/15/2009, -5/+25That's good!
