- littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Holy ***** guys, I have a 3gb bandwidth limit, I wasn't planning on this making the front page!
Anyone know where I can host this stuff? - sirmithras, on 10/12/2007, -5/+35hmmmm, I'll get it tomorrow.
- besouza, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24battybattybatt needs to STFU. 11 comments is enough.
- littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23Hey guys, thanks for the comments so far! I plan on sticking with this app for a long time development-wise, so if there are any features you'd like to see, let me know. (I've already added 4 just this morning, by user request!)
The web page is still under work, I'm trying to decide how to format the thing, but thanks for the tips so far! - ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27Cool idea and nice work by the developer, but a little underfeatured for me. Keep up the good work!

Are you aware that this app was written with 95% OSX-only components/frameworks? - littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Planning on releasing source soon... Working through the licensing details, etc.
Thanks for the interest! - gatorsrule21, on 10/12/2007, -6/+27I personally would like to thank beejay. Saved me some time.
- Gatesophile, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22:( I hate when I read about a cool program, and THEN see that it doesn't work with my OS.
I now know how the Mac and Linux dudes usually feel. :( - cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21This should be a web app.
- CharlesDarwin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20He procrastinated on his web design homework...
- xgravix, on 10/12/2007, -10/+29I am going to download this thing, I just haven't gotten around to it yet...
I know it's corny, so sue me... - TheNik, on 10/12/2007, -21/+39Port it to Windows and I'm sure you would have 99 percent more users. :P
- soll, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19I'd love it if there was actual information on the program there instead of a download link and some distorted screens that are unreadable, but that's just me.
- Jesty, on 10/12/2007, -10/+27Sorry, I don't see the homosexuality in that.
- Darthmalt, on 10/12/2007, -9/+25Lots of things with the iName work with windows like iTunes, iPod, etc. so you can't tell whether it's mac only or nt just from the name.
- DrIce926, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20That doesn't make sense. Do you mean he would have about 99 percent more of the interested demographic satisfied? 99 percent more means about twice as many.
I'm getting a macbook in the mail within the next two days. Dugg - I'll check it out later, though. Thanks! - toby34a, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I'm guessing that you wrote this while procrastinating doing a paper... or cleaning... or something of that nature. Otherwise, you needed to procrastinate the release...

How is that relevant, as he asked for a Windows alternative?? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17http://www.mynoteit.com is an allaround utility (including upcoming assignment tracker) with hundreds of other apps. Everybody should check it out
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19Release the source! :)
I would love for this to be ported to GNU/Linux - SpacemanSpiff01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14you're lucky it's just a 62 kb file.
- gregmo, on 10/12/2007, -11/+23Well students are increasingly turning to macs now. So i guess mac-only isnt a suprise now-a-days for college apps
- Sonic84, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Beats organizing my homework through iCal, thanks! though, I'll probably still push my homework off to the last minute :)
- cair0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14@ battybattybatt
Chances are there are MAYBE 30 lines of code in this entire project. With XCode you can hack up something like this in less than 20 minutes using nothing more than cocoa bindings, interface builder, and the core data model editor. AKA almost ZERO REAL LINES OF CODE. - littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -10/+22Well he is entitled to putting that on here, I guess I forgot it in the description. (Though I figured the name would be self-explanatory. :) )
- kodek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Universal as in both PPC and Intel. Duh.
- sleepwalkers, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14SamyIsMyHero: The wireless exploit you're talking about is NOT Mac only.
- lonegeek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12anything similiar for ubuntu/linux? school starts in 3 days!
- maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Does anyone know of any similar apps that are for windows? I would love something like this!
- nayten, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15Someone post a Windows alternative... PLEASE!
- thomasjordan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12After seeing 'battybattybatt' call someone out for sucking at programming I thought I would take a moment to peruse thier digg profile. Much to my excitement I found a link to a website... that completely and totally brings awful to a new level. I apologize ahead of time for the coffee/softdrink/liquid you are about to spit all over your monitor:

I found this line particualarly entertaining:
< meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0" > - jayfehr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Three quick little things I noticed.
1) When adding a new Class or Assignment it would be nice if the text was automatically selected so the user can start typing immediately, and not have to click on it first.
2) I was unable to select the last box in the priority field.
3) Could you add a calender tool so that the user does not need to type in the date but can just click on it.
Great app though; love the name. I won't get much use out of it since I've been out of school for 7 years. I thought it may be able to help me with scheduling some work stuff, but alas no. Will have to create something myself. - eattoenails, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16Guys, it was written with Core Data. That's 100% Mac OS X right there, impossible to port. Just go find something else.
- wpholmes, on 10/12/2007, -23/+32I say concentrate on the Mac version.
And now I get dugg down. - littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10If you all like it so much, it'd be very appreciated if you donated some money to help pay for the sobe's and pizza consumed in the development of this app! :-P
- LLXerxes, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13You win lame pun of the day award!
- mv36, on 10/12/2007, -13/+22Compile in windows platform if possible.
- littleodie914, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11What makes you think this was done as a class assignment? This was an app I created for fun, for people to use. If you like it, and would like to encourage faster development, or increase your karma, send money this way!
- kevinrosesmom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9and mac users don't get tired of clicking on a cool-sounding program only to find that it's windows only?
There's two sides of the fence, for better or worse. Nothing to do but move on sadly. - EamonnMurphy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I say concentrate on the Mac version and get a few versions in the bag before considering porting it to Windows. Many developers are quite happy to develop just for Mac, maybe you will take that route and add to the Mac community, only you can decide what will work for you. Keep up the good work.
- Repeat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Procrastination forbids me from downloading this software until the day before school starts.
I'm looking forward to it though. - trebor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9'jobs, first we get jobs, then we get the khakis, then we get the girls.'
- ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8CoreData is a relatively Mac Specific framework. The source code will most likely not affect a port process very much. I am in favor of opening the source though.
