elevator shoes
Turn any shoes into height increase elevator shoes. - diiigigi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's very cool. But i think it's not real time and inaccurate.
Can be for entertainment and can not be for ...... - forward1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I just added my site, www.umm.edu, you can see the map here:
http://statisfy.net/ummedu
I've tagged half of the pages on the site, and traffic on a Sunday afternoon is about 50% of a weekday, so the map is only showing a quarter of the visitors we get on a typical weekday. - it will be interesting to see if the service can keep up. I really like this - I've been looking for a way to visually communicate the amount of traffic we get to upper management. Telling them we get 80,000 visitors / day doesn't have the same impact as seeing it.
(and yes - I will send them some money) - warren853, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2We've made quite a few optimizations to the code and the server configs... digg effect is dying down as well... site should be accessible.
-Warren - elementfire, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Digg-down party!
- forward1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Well - I'm watching it run and going to pages on my site at the same time. It's very close to real-time, only a 2-3 second lag from my clicks. Given the steps involved, I don't see how it could get any faster.
- nanboya, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Neat concept, will have to wait for their server capacity to catch up with demand at this point.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1stop digging everyone down jackasses, you are turning a great new tech story which doesn't come up very often into crap. so freakin shape up and stop acting like a damn child. i swear this is turning into the youtube comment section more and more everyday.
- ausim, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2It's down
- develdevil, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1It's cool, but when it says "statistics" it just means a jumping map cursor. Nothing you can reflect on later; you have to be watching it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -13/+10This is awesome. Interesting one, thumbs up.
- BillyG123, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1During registration, their site wouldn't accept any desired URL that I entered; is their some special format they are looking for? Every new folder name (not full address) that I typed into the third field came back with an invalid error msg. Maybe it is just disabled right now for some reason.
- will4042, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1nothing gets by you
- dubloe7, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0i dont think the maps running in real time... i mean, the sites not even running in real time. or at all.
- Yeabudy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1This is painful to watch.
- RexDixon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Since it did hit digg page 1, it's down... I'm sure the guys are scrambling to get it online. My site is also running slow due to it being a popular inbound link today... It is in real time, but I think the guys have to get more load balancing; more servers. It is like twittervision, if you have seen that. It's cool, watching stuff in real time.
To the one comment above, yes - you are correct. You can't save and must be watching to see it. But you can't save in twittervision either; but people still enjoy it. Is there something wrong with statistics and entertainment?
My link again, you can't reach it right now since this went to page 1 on digg - http://statisfy.net/rexduffdixon - hopefully back online later; you might be able to reach my article on it - http://rexduffdixon.com/?p=2566 - maybe, sight was running real slow... I'm sure you can reach Allen's article - http://www.centernetworks.com/statisfy-launches-there-goes-my-saturday-nights - he has a better server I think.
Rex - vsujohn2, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7http://statisfy.net/statisfy
Now that is cool - RexDixon, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6Great tool... and here:
http://rexduffdixon.com/?p=2566
my tracker - http://statisfy.net/rexduffdixon
Rex - mwdcodeninja, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7Get this to the front page, it will be interesting seeing all the diggers hit the site. >:)
- RobertS44, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Did the site crash? Oh it is just slow.
- lcarsdeveloper, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2No, sorry, if you'd bothered to RTFA you'd see that unlike the 2 links you posted this site shows your visitors in real time, not a "daily summary of your visitors updated every 15 minutes". As soon as someone hits your website, it will show up on the map. I'm yet to see any other service that does this.
- alien260, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2doe anyone have anymore examples to check out?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5blogspam lol
- RobertS44, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Bury this and every single comment for the win.
- warren853, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0that's the same thing as the homepage. http://statisfy.net/ == http://statisfy.net/statisfy
- andrewkhunn, on 10/12/2007, -13/+8Here's a working demo I set up earlier today: http://statisfy.net/elitistjerks
Addictively-interesting mashup IMO. - alberto24, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6review here:
