- wingnut21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Thanks, this could come in very handy! I was suspecting a fee, but was pleasantly surprised. Although, how do you plan on making money?
1. Create Timer
2. ???
3. PROFIT!!! - rrwhite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think the business model was mentioned on the TechCrunch article and in the FAQ inside the application. Basically I'm looking to judiciously grow the application and a number of the features that will be added will become part of premium account that you have a monthly fee for. Mainly for businesses and power users.
- Wolfman~K, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It would be nice if you mentioned somewhere that its a web app... :( not good for when I'm offline
- rrwhite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I know I know... Its far too much blah blah blah. I've just been holed up working on polishing it all that I haven't gone back to the PR stuff. Enough rambling, its late. I'll have them up soon :)
- Glenn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very handy for those who work and charge by the hour, nice find! I've bookmarked this :)
- rrwhite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Duly noted.
- norz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Where are the screenshots?
- toeneu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1great tool. simple but useful. I can record how long I work for a job. I can switch to another task and go back to original one, all are recorded easily. Most of the time I do on-line, but if i could be available offline but can be sync as well once I get on-line.
- hollerith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What a lifesaver! This is fantastic. Excellent reports. I'd say maybe paid version could have bridges to CRMs and bespoke reports and stuff but its just awesome and so simple.
- nkerzman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Simple easy to use Web application. I open at the start of my day and with a simple click or two jump between tasks.
A great tool with a great future. - darat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Been using this app for two days - I have found it's fantastic for keeping track of the time I spend on each job, makes it easy charge my time at the end of each day. Run it in Bubbles as suggested and it chugs (ticks) along in the taskbar. It's simple enough that it does not get in the way. It's a doodle to add tasks as they come in. Great idea, I hope it grows well for you.
- tbwcr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is an incredible app. I'm only 3 hours into it, but the reports and ease-of-use is already blowing me away.
fantastic - rrwhite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Your exactly right and I'm working really hard to change that : http://www.height1percent.com/articles/2006/07/24/slimtimer-roadmap.
- fluctifragus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's raw, but very nice.
- spyromus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Using the application to learn where my precious time goes for more than a week now. I've already developed a great feel of time and the reporting / monitoring of the progress has become times easier. SlimTimer + Bubbles is a killer combination, even though I'm not the Explorer fan. So far it works smoothly and I'm more than satisfied. Keep up great job.
The best to you and your project, Richard! - yannoo, on 05/02/2008, -0/+0Great tool to work in groups, as tags allow several tasks to be shared automatically between co-workers, and others to remain private. The *only* worry so far (really, I mean it, it's the only one) is the subsistence of the data (backups).
I've been a very active user of GnoTime in the past, but the reports in SlimTimer are far more usable and it allows several people to work on the same task, so no reason to stick to GnoTime (although export from GnoTime into SlimTimer would be great, of course, but then that's true for about all applications) - ajwagner777, on 07/15/2008, -0/+0Great system! I love it already!
I created an "idle time" take just for the fun of it! Very eye opening! 3:12 and counting! - joelstarnes, on 01/13/2008, -0/+0awesome app. get this!!
- chucksense, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've been using this app for months. It's fantastic.
- papaphreaky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nifty tool. I'm a freelance motion artist and this is great for tracking my time for projects. This would be a great Google App.
- bentupper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Phenomenal app for tracking my time... and couldn't be easier to use! A 3rd grader could figure it out in less than 5 minutes.
Started using it and tracking my stuff on January 29, 2007, and as of February 3, 2007 I already have 48.8 hours logged. Just fantastic... this will really transform how I run my business.
Best part is that it's FREE (no catches, no nothing... just sign up and start using it.) But a Paypal donation to the developer would be nice.
