- kevinrose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4nice work
- fatalfuj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well done my friend... this is truly SLICK and now my permanent screen saver. Thanks.
- t3hX, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Someone could throw together one for Mac OS X in Quartz Composer very easily...
- BenStockwell, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3^^^ Exactly. Since it's OpenGL, I expected a Linux version.
- fartonmyear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2FINALLY a flickr screensaver that works well
- MonkeyPhil, on 01/28/2008, -0/+1Ironically, it flickers like crazy on my Dad's computer. I thought I was in a disco
- JamesWilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very nice
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1works great
- hanapbuhay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Display Properties > Screen Saver >
Slickr > Settings > Options > De-Select Show Logo - hanapbuhay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's right. The current version I'm using v1.0.1 supports dual monitors perfectly.
- antiver, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1UPDATED LINK: http://code.google.com/p/slickr-dotnet/
- davdav, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Mac version?
Gahh.. - gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1god dang city Slickr
- defunkt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is pretty slick...
- daRp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1theres already a mac version http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28479
- blaaarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great Stuff
- xuna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The current version works fine with multiple monitors. It alternates between the two monitors so you see two pictures at the time.
- matid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice but Linux version would be appreciated
- dmoffitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1too bad it's windows only, sure MS has the OS market in spades but i'd bet the percentage of flickr users, for example, or digg users for that matter is much more linux/unix/bsd/mac slanted
- eyesx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Many more Flickr Tools by the community at
http://pchere.blogspot.com/2005/03/great-flickr-tools-collection.html - nwagers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Seumas: the idea is to load your own photos or someone in you family... go whine elsewhere
- escapeartist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't trust downloadable screensavers. :-/

thats because your skills are weak
search google for "securing my pc" - sumanbhatta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damn! doesn't work on Win2K either :P
- ketchison, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1Sweet. I love this.
- kindrobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is there a keyword block so that every time someone uses the word "whine" I never have to suffer their comments again?
You "whine whiners" are so annoying and stupid. - XDataBurn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not prime for dual monitor setups as it only displays the screen saver on the primary display. The other screen still shows the desktop!

-XData - Dingle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mac version doesn't seem to work on mine. The devloper says there is a problem.
- Chaos12, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1great stuff
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Something this cool and Windows only? Come on!
- trvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0stijn: thats why the name of the program is written in English.
- ytsebadd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love the zooming, but I'd really like to get rid of the Slickr logo between every photo. Is it only while the next pic is loading? Loading is very slow, too...but my connection is pretty bogged by torrents right now anyway. This little app has the potential to be VERY cool, if a few more configuration options are added.
- mcbean, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1Great project, thanks for sharing.
- talishte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wanna the Linux version too
- cyphertink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Refrag: Way to be on top of the key purpose of the post.*rolls eyes*
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0perfect software for all flickr users and them who want to get good pictures as screensaver
- garagefighter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't just use any random search engine image grabber, as it's not very work safe. Even with specific keywords. But with the Slickr I can specify my wife's photography.
I'm trying out the Mac version now. Hopefully a Linux version will be out soon, as I have a 2 monitor setup, Linux and Mac side by side at work and would like to have matching screen savers for each monitor. - hanapbuhay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Same to you.
- greenzero8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1For all the Mac users -- get RandomWeb! It's a screensaver that lets you download images from most sites, including flickr. It's made by the same guy. cellardoorsw.com
I've been using it for months and have about a gig of photos from various sites. It's incredible being able to download images from a site's whole directory. Try it out. - minienvelope, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, seriously.
- ebrule, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great work!
I agree with some of the other comments that the zoom should be taken out. I'd rather see the full image displayed statically on the screen, perhaps for a min of 5 seconds, or until the next image loads into a buffer. - jaysonemery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I only wish there was some way to stop the zooming pan on the images and just see the shots as they were originally intended.
Otherwise a great screensaver!
BTW Happy New Year... (From Australia) - ahmerhussain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is there something like this for Shutterbook?
- theOster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mine just shows the download "progress" but never any images...
- Refrag, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No mention about this program being limited to Windows XP in the post. No digg.
- krewemaynard, on 11/12/2007, -1/+016 diggs into it and it's toast. i'd like to try it when the dust settles.
- greenzero8, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1RandomWeb is even better
cellardoorsw.com
it is the truth...download images from any site. nuts... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This already exists and has been available for a year now. I highly recommend Judson's Flickr screensaver program. Works like a charm! Check it out.........
http://www.wackylabs.net/2005/09/flickr-screensaver-40/ - ev_loc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0pretty sweet, but i wish the pics were more random...I put in "beach" and the first four pics were the same guy boogey boarding.
- oneSaint, on 11/12/2007, -1/+0appler please. :D
- fartonmyear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0can someone explain how the cache works?
