- phlezk, on 04/03/2009, -1/+9THESE COMMENTS SUCK
- ReeferChiefer42, on 04/03/2009, -8/+16***** the RIAA and MPAA!
Here's a bra made of bacon: http://www.freewilliamsburg.com/archives/2009/02/t ...
Bury me and you bury the heart and soul of Digg. - sfrench, on 04/02/2009, -1/+7That's one of the major features in the DiggBar. You don't have to submit (or register for an acct.) the story to shorten it.
eg: digg.com/mysite.com (would give you a shorturl even if it was non-submitted) - Rhydeble, on 04/03/2009, -3/+8bacon and bra's? and ***** RIAA and MPAA as well? I buried you so i could digg you twice.
- urtocool, on 04/03/2009, -9/+13***** you bury brigade.
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Now THAT is brilliant.
- Thoku, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Bug was fixed about 1 min after posting this. Good work digg.
- nickgarvey, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2That barely even made sense.
- dazparkour, on 04/03/2009, -2/+4Needs more bacon.
http://bacolicio.us/http://www.freewilliamsburg.co ... - seanstar12, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2You mean that "bearly" made sense?
- str3ama, on 04/02/2009, -0/+1you're right - technically this could be used for spam and porn, and I'm sure they'll gain wind of it and start using it for this very purpose...since digg urls will lend a bit of credibility.
It'll be interesting to see how digg plays gatekeeper in what they allow and restrict. I'm sure TinyURL is inundated with spammers. - drgmdp, on 04/02/2009, -0/+1digg demographic is getting dumber and dumber... the article not only mentions but posts a bookmarklet for the bar.......... ¬¬
- Jibberwalk, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1@Cleo:
The page itself is what was wonky... it has some odd loading going on. I loaded it up without the DiggBar and got the "jumpiness" you might be describing. - dburka, on 04/02/2009, -2/+3Which browser and what do you mean by 'jumpy'? Please be as specific as possible and we'll do our best to diagnose what's going on.
- creole, on 04/03/2009, -1/+1Can I ask why I'm getting dug down? I'm posting a link to a service that directly relates to this thread.
- chongli, on 04/02/2009, -3/+3ahh, digg bar, so obnoxious I searched for (and found) a way to remove it the first time I saw it.
buried as lame. - CTRaiderThe1st, on 04/02/2009, -1/+1Yea, and look in the properties at how each of them did it. Diggs version is 4x as long
- jadsn, on 04/10/2009, -1/+0no thanks i'll just stick to http://shortener.net
- Kazimieras, on 04/03/2009, -8/+8Sorry but the digg bar is a piece of crap. I hope they get rid of it.
- netneutrality, on 04/03/2009, -2/+1Use your infinitely annoying user tracking scripts. And did it EVER occur to you guys to tell the browser to actually cache some stuff (e.g., user icons) properly? It doesn't matter how many times one has seen a page before -- Firefox always rerequests all the stupid user icons and scripts. What a total waste of bandwidth.
- SteveMax, on 04/02/2009, -2/+1Unfortunately, http://digg.com/d1gg leads to a spam site :-(
- Thoku, on 04/03/2009, -6/+5would be nice if the page would actually load whilst the bar is activated.
- bendu, on 04/03/2009, -7/+6it sucks
I turned it off
sorry, please try again? - SeppaMan, on 04/03/2009, -3/+0THANKS GOOD FOR YOU.
***** - cran, on 04/03/2009, -15/+11The bar is cool, but the shortened URLs are NOT. The short URL hosting the bar is fine, but when I share links with friends, the bar should be using the ORIGINAL URL, not the shortened Digg URL.
- DavidTurnbull, on 04/03/2009, -8/+2Digg this down please - I want to see how far it can get dugg down.
- sinuegoist, on 04/03/2009, -8/+1VERBAL IS KEYZER SÖZE!
- SeppaMan, on 04/03/2009, -7/+0Yea this is alright i guess but a few ***** ups.
Mainly the thing is it comes up with a completely irrelevant story. - nitr021, on 04/03/2009, -8/+1awesome
- beesaretasty, on 04/02/2009, -10/+4Yay! Digg can finally track my online behavior more efficiently!
- FUR10N, on 04/02/2009, -11/+4these comments are fail.
- lcmatt, on 04/02/2009, -10/+3So how much did you pay for this submission and comments then?
- GRAVEWiSH, on 04/02/2009, -11/+3Feature Request: How about when i bury a story from the digg bar it automatically closes the tab that the story is in.
Cool idea or what? - xNaquada, on 04/03/2009, -11/+2Didn't realize Digg had a cemetery.
- creole, on 04/02/2009, -10/+1I'll be adding support for Digg short URLs tonight.
- netneutrality, on 04/03/2009, -13/+4That's just bloody irritating. Since I don't store cookies now I'm going to have to disable it every single day just so I can actually see the URLs of the pages I'm on and not have annoying frames messing up bookmarking! Jerk asses.
- GroundIsSound, on 04/02/2009, -9/+2that random button smells a little bit like stumbleupon
- Tddupre, on 04/03/2009, -11/+2RIP Digg Story Comment Section
- BMR777, on 04/03/2009, -12/+4Just wait until someone starts using this for malware. Seems kinda stupid that it will blindly redirect any URL and keep track of how many people view it. Malware made easy, hide the links, track the views, simple. I think Yahoo had a hole like this previously but they patched it because that's exactly what people were doing, using Yahoo's redirection for malware.
- Absyrd2, on 04/02/2009, -13/+5goodbye TinyUrl
- scarz99, on 04/02/2009, -10/+1Oh look, you can digg Digg! http://digg.com/d114zy
(Not really though) :( - Arsenard, on 04/02/2009, -12/+3So just exactly who needs another flaming Tool-Bar?? NOT ME!!!!!!!
- str3ama, on 04/02/2009, -10/+2this isn't really competition for tiny url - because it still requires the url to be dugg which requires registration and a bit more work then tinyurl.
I can just see some story on techcrunch about how digg is trying to take on tinyurl, when in reality they're not even close. - inactive, on 04/03/2009, -13/+3I'M GAY!
- mishabear, on 04/02/2009, -11/+2sweet little gizmo, Digg! I'll be using that. This is especially nice for those long URLs that break the hyperlinks for certain people when they line wrap.
- mechmess, on 04/02/2009, -12/+3Awesome, nice work!
