- gregthebunny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I know it's "experimental", but drawing a brown filled circle returned images of green frogs and insects at the top the list. It'd be cool if it asked the user to click on the image closest to what they wanted and learned from that.
- DrunkenPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good idea, horrible app though
- notalbertpacino, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2ahahah i found the best pic http://www.flickr.com/photos/76261353@N00/6090364/
- Massif, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"How many of you pervs drew nipples?"
/me raises hand... - Paladin27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I saw a photo on Flickr a couple weeks ago and didn't favorite it. I couldn't for the life of me find it using the Flickr search engine... I drew a rough sketch of what I remembered the photo looked like, and it came right up! AWESOME!
- ikkir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Fantastic.
Looked for a landscape with Blue, Yellow , Green.
And Tada!, there it was.
+dugg. - FlyboyP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah this is pretty cool. I'll digg it. How many of you pervs drew nipples?
- forty4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Think of the porn possibilities
- jiminoc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0cool but pointless
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Trying to get boobies to show up, but this is the closes I have come:

- yaos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I drew a penis and got one eye.... interesting....
- briansalo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is cool for if you need background photos for a blog that have just the right color... You know what I mean...
+digg - eskay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Someone tell Google about this! Can you imagine searching for images by sketching?
- salmonmoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if you read the about, it says that it works mostly on slabs of colour, not outlines, so rather than drawing a shape, block out the colours, if you want boobies, try patches of skintone. It would be nice if you could refine selections, but it's an excellent tool and as a designer really useful.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Getting closer... hint, for better booby results, use a ligher shade of grey

- apg88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Amazing!
- newezra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I digg it! Great example.
- HiddenS3crets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool
- flock31070, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OMG that is too cool even if it's not that accurate:-]
- OOTay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Too slow ill have to look at it later... digg effect.
- CarGuy519, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I could easily see how this program could easily confused a group of pictures which were taken together, that look alike. Is there a way the program could differentiate between two or more photos that only have slight differences?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's outragious...what will they think of next.
- alexp2ad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Really cool...
But does it use AJAX or Web 2.0...... :P - aznboi04k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lame. the brush size is too big. can barely draw anything. worst, the canvas is too small. pointless.
- Plezops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this has got to be one of the coolest things on digg in a while!
++Digg - eyesx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More Flickr tools
http://pchere.blogspot.com/2005/03/great-flickr-tools-collection.html - hspr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0*****. Drew boobies, got babies.
- jeff1943, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice concept. Good digg
- Digital.Totem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems pretty much color based only. the shape you make has no relevance what-so-ever don't believe me, use black and draw a :) No digg
- saluki1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Chill out. I think it's pretty damn cool! Digg on!
- michaelbuddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This would be something a stock photo company should buy for their own server searches. Often designers are trying to match colors for branding. Pretty great.
- nucleocide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought I heard something a long time ago that google image search was going to do this.
And, yes, I drew nipples. - harley999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0damn, drawing naked ladies keeps giving me cats.. is it pussy censorship??
- dlogic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thats not accurate.....its someones fantasy , has taken a retard birth
- stublag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What in the hell.
- vermin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0People need to take this technology for what it is. No you can't search for specific pictures, but you CAN search for specific settings. I drew a sandy beach with aqua water and blue sky, and the first hit was exactly that in photo form. As long as you take into account the limitations of the drawing system and use it for what it is it's a good step forward for photo processing based searching.
- funkytaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It seems to mainly base results off colour, not shape.
- philoponia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think that it has a set group of images that it has cataloged because I was trying to get boobies with no luck. Then I was trying to get other stuff and some of the same images kept appearing. It does recognize shape somewhat though. Do a background with a circle or something in the center, you will see it match the shape for something simple like that.
- captnkurt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Crap.
I forgot to mention that I couldn't get sound when I tried the Tunespotting.com thing in Firefox, but it did work for me in The Great Satan's web browser. YMMV. - captnkurt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@TVarmy
Actually, there is a tool that might help you find that song you don't know the name of. It's called the Parsons Code
I quote Wikipedia:
The first note of a melody is denoted with an asterisk (*) All succeeding notes are denoted with one of three letters to indicate the relationship of its pitch to the previous note:
* U for "up," if the note is higher than the previous note
* D for "down," if the note is lower than the previous note
* R for "repeat," if the note is the same pitch as the previous note
For example, the beginning of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is notated in Parsons code as follows: *RURURDDRDRDRD
I recommend http://tunespotting.com. There you can "draw" the tune you heard, if you are handy with musical notation. Or you can try to play the melody on your (regular QWERTY) keyboard if you're of that ilk.
I don't know squat about music notation or piano, so it was more of a toy for me, but it might help you! - zzztimbo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0neato! but can someone tell me if there are any practical uses for this tool.
- Warpling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0always though there should be something for google where you can input somehing to look for an image, but not text. very cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dudes! that is kinda crap if you ask me (which you didn't).
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you are impressed by this, you're probably also impressed by the accuracy of horoscopes.
- NeilM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I disagree, I think this is one stupid technology that doesn't work very well at all. No digg.
- BlackMamba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LAME!
- Flashman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I drew boobies too. For better results, try STICK FIGURES:
