RIAA Seeks ISP Help in Obtaining "Pre-Doe" settlements and preserving logs

recordingindustryvspeople.blog… — The RIAA has sent a letter to ISP's admitting that there have been mistakes in identifying "John Does", and asking the ISP's to hold onto their logs for 180 days, in exchange for which the RIAA would offer "Pre-Doe settlement options" to the ISP's subscribers who "settle" with the RIAA prior to commencement of a John Doe lawsuit.
