http://digg.com/links/Noise_1.0.1 - oxigen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2for some people a static noise, like what this program does, helps them concentrate. Other people prefer music, and others perfer the natural sounds around them.
Myself - I tried this and wanted to shoot myself in the head after the first 10 seconds. - lsaspammagnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Kindly just comment on whether the program does what it says it does, and stop wasting our time with the other irrelevant crap. If you don't like listening to the sound, don't download the damn thing & go listen to something else.
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm actually not the webmaster at all! I just put in ref?digg for their conveinience. I have no affiliation and make no money, but I was promoting digg to the webmaster (I changed it from google!)
- Carlox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, you could use, as I do, audacity, then generate 30 sec of white noise. then play it on winamp moving your equalizer as for 1/f (it is a down pattern through the frequency in 16K@-20db) and let it run in loop. Works for me.
- dean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Perhaps I'm not getting this. So you listen to this noise instead of noise around you? It sounds like a good idea and all, but why not listen to music instead?
- Hassassin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I dugg this and I want to take it back, this is the worst thing ever. I thought this would be some type of noise cancellation software, it's just annoying sounds.
- Scopitone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't think I've ever uninstalled something on my rig more quickly than this trash.
- loginname, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If anyone wants to play around with generating DTMF tones with this software, you can find the frequency info here.

- cappslite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"AND -- this is digg whoring off of the noise digg: http://digg.com/links/Noise_1.0.1"
A good thing since it's a Mac only. - bootaw01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone know where to get this in MP3 format? Would love to have this on my Nano! Its amazing how all the hustle and bustle just drifts away.
- modbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Forgive me if this sounds stupid, but the "pink noise" is the most annoying sound i have ever heard, motorway traffic sounds more pleasant. How is this supposed to drown out other sounds??
- zeusdo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't get it, why would anyone want to listen to noise.
- mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Taken out of the from page...
Just listen to Chill Out/Lounge music - swilly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow... if you really feel the desire to listen to static that much, just use: cat /dev/urandom > /dev/audio
- bootaw01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nevermind...just found the "save as .wav" option.
- mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0*front page
- guyfromfl, on 04/03/2008, -1/+0well those who dont know what pink noise is, also don't know who mick hughes is, nor do you know what good sound is. probably listen to jay-z or whoever the new rapper is out there yelling into an over gained and impropperly equed mic & outboard. noise is just that noise but to someone who can appriciate this soft its a great asset. especially without spec an's and expensive gear. thank you.
- PhotoStory, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I just tested the uninstall feature, and that works. This is a stupid digg.
- Wolfman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very nice pink noise generator, I dont care if you are the webmaster, sure it's shameless self promotion, but this one runs on windows, I could really get into this, I head the headphones on playing with it, and mom walked in talking, couldnt hear a damn thing she said :D Thanks!
- mathew_bug, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0^^^ ahahaahah! nice one
- ra3ndy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0ridiculous. i'll reconsider as soon as i find harsh buzzing square waves to be relaxing, as opposed to ear-blood inducing.
- russell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I'd rather continue to listen to Celine Dion all day.
