- MrMidi, on 10/11/2007, -5/+35If you read the site it has the text:
If you are using a Mac, please try our Safari version instead.
http://www.piclens.com/safari/ - HappyProgrammer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20No Linux support? I guess I got used to Firefox add-ons being cross-platform.
- kevincross, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17are steve jobs and i the only people that use safari?
- maddox, on 10/11/2007, -11/+25Piclens could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3)
- Jorlwind, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17Read a little closer. Mac users are in the safe.

Now for a linux port. Create some demand by using that feedback button. - Appleboi4evr, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16Come on, throw linux a bone...
we should have cross platform support if we have firefox.
otherwise just rename the browser
iFirefox
Ufirefox human beings edition
and Firefox Ultimate. - adderx99, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13doesn't support Linux version of firefox either. :(
- whistlerpro, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Because every mac user uses Safari.... right?
- mattsonster, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11seems to be a great app. but i'm using a mac and i hate safari) i'd enjoy it under my firefox for mac.
pity. let's hope they'll release one asap. - j4200, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12I have Vista and it says it can't recognize my OS
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8I'll rephrase it for you :
Warning : This is available to only 96% of users. Beware! - inkubux, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Yeah it sucks, no linux, no digg
- PRlME, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6ok i figured out how to use it look for the lil play button on the bottom of images
- judgeFire, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Nah, there's me which makes it three and then the PicLens guy - this piece of software has been out for Safari for quite a while, as it's been built.
- g3r4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4You have 30 add-ons. Problem solved.
- hmemcpy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Greased Lightbox is much better...
http://shiftingpixel.com/lightbox/ - kevincross, on 10/11/2007, -1/+51. make/find a media rss feed that distributes porn.
2. ????
3. profit. - perfectnation, on 11/09/2007, -0/+44. use pictures to print out colorful napkins
- astrotrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Yes, much better then PicLens.
With PicLense, you have to wait for a little icon to appear on the images, and they have to be in an RSS feed. So for using it
at Google, you can no look at all the images, on the 'Google Found These Images', and then highlight and wait for the play icon
and you only get those few images.
Greased Lightbox, you just go to a page (Google image search), and click on the first pic, and you scroll right through the collection (no icons, etc).
Now to try it with some pr0n sites... Hoopla! - zcreem, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Anyone get this working with Picasa yet, Google images works fine.
- snolan1990, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4got it on bog standard XP with Firefox and works a treat
more of a novelty than anything else but still a good fun little toy
its free so just get it to try it then you can always disable it - macewan, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7creating a plugin that only works in windows is rather silly - just say it's windows software
- bkemper, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I use FireFox and Safari on the Mac, but I prefer Safari. Does anyone know if this has been tested with Safari 3, or with the latest version of WebKit?
- mbuckingham, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2it doesn't work with the customizeGoogle extension turned on
- DaleoftheUK, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"If you are using a Mac, please try our Safari version instead."
No, safari blows. Except for "Private browsing". - Solkre, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Nope, everyone on a Mac uses Safari... to download Firefox.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2oh man please tell me this works with porn!
- flibuste, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You've installed the "I have humour that others don't catch" add-on.
Remove it, despite this great "Digg me down button" that it brings.
Problem fixed. - Atomic1fire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Its a windows pse (platform specific extension (fancy madeup phrase for extensions that only work for select OSes)
- weebit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1very nice!
- ferrofluid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What category does 'Vista' fall into? condition or disease !
- DM01, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I have 20 addons and 1GB of ram and firefox runs fine for me.
- rdas7, on 02/15/2008, -0/+1This is incredible!
- imnotsinister, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Something subtle that will be useful to all you PicLens users/lovers, but that you might not have discovered:
After clicking on the link button and getting sent to the site of your chosen picture, if you move your mouse to the top right corner of the browser window (the page content area) you will see a blue square appear. Clicking on this blue square will send you back to the gallery to the SAME POINT you were last browsing. Very nice.
:o) - noliberalbull, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2originally came out for safari... I've been using it for almost a year now. The mac implementation seems to run a little smoother still.
- zcreem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11600x1200 and 1200x1024 Dual works fine
- roennow, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2"PicLens for Firefox is currently supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista. The Mac OS X version will be available in the near future, and in the meantime you can download the Safari plugin at piclens.com/mac"
I would think that my Windows XP SP2 and Firefox 2.0.0.4 would fall under that category - astrotrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1..this is to enhance the viewing of images... duh.
- kevincross, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1we'll make it work, dont you worry. we'll make it work dammit!
- firearcade, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It is not intuitive enough, on facebook it doesn't scroll between photos in an album (unless they are on one page).
Nice to look at though
I would suggest you can exit it by click anywhere either side of the photo (like greased lightbox) - mbuckingham, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Same for me...it's okay in flkr, though was kinda hard to close it as my cursor kept disappearing...fix it for google and I'll reinstall it.
- astrotrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Need more RAM or Cowbell... take you pick.
Check for all updates for your add-ons, and see if they have been replaced with better written add-ons. - littlebean9, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1the microsoft labs thing is amazing... was it in digg? (we all know the search sucks ass...)
- bkemper, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That seems odd. I thought the Safari version was for Mac OS X (until recently, the only platform to run Safari).
- Atomic1fire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Some devs dont care or havent supported linux yet
- islingt0ner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1seems to not work in resolutions higher than 1024x768/or perhaps dual monitors.
- edmur, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No, I'm having the same problem...at least I know it's not me :)
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It works.
- fogster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm running it fine at 1400x1050, albeit on a single monitor.
