- MitchC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21My thoughts exactly, but don't be a douche.
- nauzilus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Looks like that feature should be available in GIMP 2.4, otherwise available now in 2.3.14 if you're feeling adventurous ;)
Tutorial: http://www.pedroalonso.es/blog/?p=88
Download 2.3.14: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ - valiko75, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14People who use and know Photoshop, don't fall for such title as "Photoshop tutorial"...

Give them the credit and bandwidth... their video is cleaner anyway! - Pooball, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11This is actually Filter > Vanishing Point, not just a clone stamp (however you can use the stamp from within it). Still a good basic vid tho.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Its still in beta
- pixas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@valiko75:
Actually it's only for CS2 (and CS3), the video was part of the introduction to CS2 when it was new some years ago. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Good video, it's just a shame most of these work on really clear cut images. Most images aren't this easy to work with.
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7@GamerzCorner: No, vanishing point is a new feature as of CS2. CS does not have vanishing point.
And for those that feel the need to digg down anyone who asks an honest question...help people learn, instead of being so negative on the "noobs". You were a noob one day too, remember? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Can you do this in GIMP?
- eliburford, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Saw this a long time ago on Good-Tutorials I think, decent tutorial.
- soapycub, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Dugg for Deke McClelland :o)
- GamerzCorner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@pooball
Ok so I'm in the process of learning photoshop, I'm using CS I know it is kind of outdated but is it possible to do this in the standard CS version. I go to filters as you said but i don't see a vanishing point option. - V3X3D, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Again this proves why Adobe Photoshop is the market leader in image editing. Excellent tutorial
- nick34, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The most non descriptive headline. EVAR.
- SeattleGaucho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There is at least one of these articles surfacing every 2/3 months, I already dugg the previous one.
- heiesuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thanx. This is still a good tutorial for quasi "know it alls" like me that didn't know about this easy method for something I do all the time.
- JoeDonH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wow, maybe I'm missing something here, but did this person take this Total Training demo and post it on Metacafe under Producer Rewards as their own creation hoping to profit from someone else's work? Am I seeing this wrong or something?
- caworden, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This tutorial is from the videos on the actual software....???
- NerveBand, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That is actually a pretty cool technique!
Sweet! Thanks for sharing ^_^ - valiko75, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3As far as I understood, it's only for the CS versions?
- SeattleGaucho, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Of course you can, my daughter, an accomplished digital photographer, and I, not the same expertise, do it all the time. The problem is that there are no articles or books or comprehensive HowTos for Gimp
- valiko75, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I personally doubt. I can't say I'm a graphics expert, but my first impression about GIMP is that it can't do even a quarter of what Photoshop can... As already mentioned: "Again this proves why Adobe Photoshop is the market leader in image editing."
- FuLouZero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is a Adobe tutorial.
You can find the dog picture in...
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS2Samples - snlildude87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You mean give credit and take bandwidth.
- tonymakkaroni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2nice video
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Could have been worse....

- tikistyle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, this is a video off of the Adobe site, as linked to from your Adobe Photoshop CS2 help file.
- texas85, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1Well you can find some really good tutorials here http://www.gfxwiz.com
- shockingbird, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I didn't know Roger from American Dad was so good at Photoshop.
- unknowndomain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1maby its a sample image from the photoshop sample images? just a thought
- wisie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow what a descriptive title..
- omgcthulhu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thanx a lot for the info. I don't like such articles. http://chocozone.blogspot.com
- chudiggs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Check out Bert Monroy's PixelPerfect on Revision3.com ( http://www.revision3.com/pixelperfect ). Some really outstanding vidcast tutorials!!
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1and that probably requires a student ID, right? Academic prices can't really be considered the real price of anything...
- hypermint, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2wow...i have not seen that vid since cs2 released.....damn old.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@dj50
At least it's not a few hundred dollars.
And no, don't tell me about pirating Photoshop. I have morals. - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1I know and use Photoshop, but I don't know everything about it so I still clicked on this. It happens that I did know about this but I still dugg it because it's a good video (not a great tutorial because he doesn't explain enough).
- ray9x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For those of you complaining about the price of Adobe CS2, my campus bookstore sells it for $124.00. Yes, the whole damn thing. Photoshop, Illustrator and the works... even comes w/ Dreamweaver. Go check if you can snag it; IMO, that's a great price.
- DPowers08, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was trying to think of how to describe that voice. I think you've said it best.
- dppgroup, on 10/02/2008, -0/+0I love photoshop tutorials but they are so scattered and I can never find the ones I want so I put together a search thing at:
http://photoshoptutorials.hostaim.com - BrianRocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good tutorial if you know how to use photoshop, but then again, if you already know how to use photoshop then . . .
- eiknarf05, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1youtube
- techykid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Don't worry. You will see it again in a few months..
- proliance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried this on my ex-wife.
No luck. - poxoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Thanks a lot! Is anyone able to open this link?
- mikexr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a good tutorial, but a shame that most images aren't going to have such a convenient surface to work with.
