- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -3/+123Dowload CS3 here:

nobugs
Here is how to crack CS3 and get rid of the trial period:
1) Complete the installation as usual
2) Go to AdobeAdobe Photoshop CS3AMT
3) Delete the file called application.sif
4) Enjoy - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -5/+88Deleting a file on your computer isn't illegal. Just because the software chooses to run forever without it is a bug.... errrr, feature!
- zonk3r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+54So is herpes but nobody wants that either.
- PandaParts, on 10/12/2007, -8/+54Good point. Adobe (the creators of ALL of the wildly popular applications below) need our cash to feed their starving families:
- Acrobat
- AfterEffect
- Breeze
- ColdFusion
- Dreamweaver
- Flash
- Flex
- GoLive
- Illustrator
- Premiere
- Etc.
Adobe needs another $800 like I need a gold-plated rocket car. - Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+47It's easy for you to find a crack, but when was the last time you cracked a program on your own? There are people out there that devote themselves in reversing what the programmers have tried to make hard to do.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+48And a direct link to the windows trial download so you don't have to mess with the login business.
http://trials.adobe.com/pub/esd/labs/photoshopcs3/adobephotoshop_10_12-14-06.exe - Dhalgren, on 10/12/2007, -10/+43Thank You Captain Swift, Master of the Obvious.
- KayinNasaki, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34Yes, all 500 dollars of their monies~ Because if we steal their software they won't make a killing by being the industry standard for 2d art, getting bought by just about every graphics design company or school in existance.
... Now please, I don't want to advocate piracy, but how many people do you think are going to pay out the nose for photoshop unless they're professionals? And lets be honest here, Adobe is in no way a struggling company. It's actually better for Adobe for people to steal their software as opposed to not using it at all. That helps them keep their standard. - jchillerup, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34Perhaps, but still, you weren't the one to figure it out.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+30How the hell is illegal to delete a file on YOUR computer. It's illegal to post how to do it online, in the US, at least, but to do it is perfectly legal.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Deleting a file isn't illegal. Stop getting your panties in a bunch- it's not like you're suddenly going to change any minds around here.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26@NedreN:
It's news if the software was released the day before. Both the Mac and Windows versions were cracked in under a day. That's news. - jchillerup, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22You do realize this is still beta software, don'tcha?
- jchillerup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19I think they made it that easy to crack deliberately. They want the news of Photoshop CS3 out to as many people as possible. They already earn very well on the final versions from studios and enthusiasts around the world.
To release a beta free to everybody would be nice, but consider the news value if "the new Photoshop CS3 is super-easy to crack." Everybody would like their slice of the new beta they read about on news pages all over the intarwebs, wouldn't they? - bryant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Just remember not to download any updates....
- zephc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21fyi: the file on the mac version is at:
[your install directory, usually Applications]/Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Resources/AMT/application.sif
removing/renameing the file has the same effect (naturally) - manageMyRights, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20I've heard the CEO of Adobe actually state to congress that its not a big deal if students download and use the software without paying. He understands that is what makes Adobe the industry standard and teaches the next generation how to use it.
- endersadvocate, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20pandas comment transcends idiocy
- Complexium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18The GIMP is an awesome free open source application, but Photoshop CS2/3 annihilates it.
- Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -6/+22does it blend?
Actually it loads pretty fast. I haven't used CS1 or CS2 so I can't compare for you. - Dhalgren, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19I actually wish that no one would have cracked the Beta. I'm sure they are trying to see if their "lock down" technique would work. If we would have made them think it worked, then they may have released the final version for download and then we could have cracked that one this easily. Now, they are going to try and patch this hole...
- NedreN, on 10/12/2007, -8/+23This 'crack' is obviously considered to be 'news' by enough of us..
- ReubADoob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17beingdevious, get bent.
- Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19I agree in buying it, but this IS beta. I think all it does is make people want to buy it when it is finally released. As with Vista and Office 2007, running the betas answered a lot of questions for me and helped me decide if I was going to buy them (which I ham).
- gabraham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Might as well just rename the file. You don't know if something will screw up later and you'll need it back.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Here's a list of the most signifigant new features in CS3, along with screenshots:
http://www.photoshopuser.com/cs3/sk_features.html - Microdot, on 10/12/2007, -15/+28give them the money the deserve. id like to see cs4 some day.
- hustl3r, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16I found out that it works by just deleting the file aswell =) so really there's no need to rename it, beacuse it still works anyway.
- ragingchikn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Or perhaps they didn't want to release the final protections in the beta version, thus giving people less time to hack away at the real thing.
- dAbReAkA, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18that easy? no hexediting?
.. it's that simple - only with windows :D - dcipjr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Looks like it's the same procedure for the Mac -- just that the application.sif file is located in the Photoshop package itself, so you have to right-click on Photoshop, choose "Show Package Contents", and navigate to Contents/Resources/AMT.
- NeoPlatonist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11GIMP is pretty good considered it has always been free. Of course Photoshop is better because it has a ton of money going into its development.
I am a design student and my school uses Vectorworks for CAD. For non-students it is a whopping $2200 a license. These program are damned expensive and can be because the design firms will shell out how ever much it takes. However, buying one of them for personal use is like trying to get surgery without insurance. - phaed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10"If you don't like their pricing, don't use the product. "
yea you do that. im happy stealing my software. and no please dont try to rationalize my actions. the truth is that i dont give a *****. - synystar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16@iamcitizen Captain Obvious here ... it's illegal because you don't have a license to use the software.
- Protoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I think thats because they included native versions for both Intel and PPC. Just like the difference between Vista x64 and x86.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11You better hope he's not a bender unit.
- firepowered, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Yeah, but isnt this a BETA version anyway?
- tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12@flyneye
You had me agreeing with you, untill you called windows users stupid, and went all "Linux Religious". That turned me agenst you.
MY personal viewpoint is to inform people of alternitives, and let THEM decide what is best for THEM. Linux will NOT do what everyone wants out of their computer. (Well not without LOADS of knowledge and lots of work) I have no problems with my windows system. However I do not condem people for using Linux. I also do nto TELL people what browser to use. They can use IE, FireFox, Maxthon or Opera for all I care. If someone asks me what I use I'll tell them. But if someone is not using what I use, I do not condem them to hell for it!
There are many different software apps that do the same basic thing because there are many different people who use their software differently! What works for you, may not work for me. That does NOT make me stupid! And I am NOT going to hell for it. So put your "Linux is god" bible away and save the preaching for Sunday! - lainelike, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12amazingly simple too and it works.
thanks =]
- zyrotin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Just as soon as I'm allowed to buy it, I probably will. I own CS1, I bought it. With Money.
CS2 just wasn't enough of an upgrade for me to buy though, so I'll wait for this to hit retail and as long as I see that it's worth the upgrade I will purchase it. But only 2 days to test Photoshop is Bull *****. You need way more time than that to get a feel for the program and all it can do. - schultzeworks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12One fatal flaw : any future version of Photoshop will refuse to open any file made by a prior free /trial version. If you're good enough to make money by your expertise in these applications, you are good enough to pay for them.
- Skardhamar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Thank you for the information. Pass along
- anjinash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Yeah, and GIMP can't handle the proper color profiles for projects intended for print. No graphic design firm will take GIMP files, and no graphic designer would give a second thought to GIMP until it's made more intuitive and the GUI is fixed.
- McG2k1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8I think a more worthy story would be one about a version of photoshop that WASN'T cracked in 15 minutes.
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Geez, it's like Adobe wanted us to crack this...one file that just needs to be deleted?
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Adobe don't care about most people pirating Photoshop. The more people that use it (particularly when their younger), the more people who go into business and have to buy it. Adobe make their money on businesses buying hundreds of licenses..
Besides, most companies only include "anti-piracy" methods into their software to make it harder to pirate, *not* impossible. If they can delay pirated versions for a few days, or even hours, their happy..
Adobe is doing the right thing, by not suing anyone who dares pirate their oh-so-expensive software. If everyone uses Photoshop, all businesses use it, and they become the industry standard, and get lots of money. Same thing with the beta, if everyones using it, chances are some will suggest to their employers that they should update, which is far more likely than if their not limited to a 2 day trial (On that subject, the PC Beta I downloaded seemed to be limited to 30 days, not 2)
- Ben - gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@the people saying deleting the file is illegal,
I just deleted a text file called "Read Me" that I got with a program. No need to call the police, I'm going to turn my self in. I can't believe I would do something like that! God, Please forgive me.
Anyways. I don't see image ready in the package. Is this good bye for image ready? - ascott9, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8only a mac user wouldn't know how to view the application files of an application. now digg me down please
- Aliarse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Then consider "us" beta testers.
mailto : Bugs@Adobe.com
Bug #1 - Its really easy to crack the license by simply deleting the application.sif file. - anjinash, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7As a graphic design student, there's no way I can afford to buy CS2 (or CS3 when it comes out), so piracy is my only option if I want to work on my school assignments at home, which is essential since I work two jobs and can't make it into our schools computer labs during their wonky hours.
When I graduate and actually start making money using Adobe products, I'll gladly fork out the cash to buy the software. Until then, piracy is the only option if I want to finish my work on time and actually graduate. Adobe realizes this is the case for a lot of people, which is why you never hear about kids getting sued over this *****.
Get off your moral high horse and realize that people like myself have circumstances that require piracy. The way you speak, you make it sound like we're child molesters or bank robbers. It's just software, get some perspective and join the real world. -
