- CraigCarlyle, on 10/11/2007, -29/+778You bought your son a Megablocks set?
I bet your bought him a Gobot instead of a Transformer last Christmas as well. - ignavia, on 10/11/2007, -14/+578Haha!
Actually, I was against the MegaBloks (there's no C) all along. I grew up with real LEGOs, so that's what he was getting too. Then, for his birthday 2 months ago, his grandpa shows up with this big MegaBloks dragon castle. I groaned, but he loved it. Loved it to the point that we bought several more, smaller sets. I tried swaying him back towards the LEGOs (they have Star Wars, son!) but he enjoys them both.
As far as LEGO vs MegaBloks, LEGO wins, hands down. The quality of the plastic is tremendously higher. LEGO pieces fit 100% perfectly every single time. (Unless there's any bite damage). I can't say the same for MegaBloks. Also, LEGO's istructions are simple and to the point. MegaBloks decided to fancy theirs up with distracting background images, crazy-assed arrows and colored dots, per-step part inventories, etc., but all it does is add confusion.
LEGO all the way. - Tunguska, on 10/11/2007, -6/+352Blue Screen of Death - The perfect villain for Spiderman 4.
- thestorey, on 10/11/2007, -9/+252After spider man started wearing his hair over his face i half expected them to show him on an imac using myspace at some point.
- zyklon, on 10/11/2007, -8/+196Even Spiderman earns his memory dumps.
I wonder though, how much Spiderman has to pay for internet service? He can surf the 'web' for free. - MrUnderbridge, on 10/11/2007, -16/+203"Could everyone PLEASE get this through their skulls: Its LEGO not LEGOS! THERE IS NO S IN LEGOS!!!!"
Forget to take your lithium there?
The amazing thing is, I didn't know that legos pedants existed. I mean, I used to enjoy playing with legos. When I was 10. But I certainly can't imagine memorizing the legos spelling/grammar rules and then posting flames on a website with all caps and multiple exclamation points on the proper way to refer to one's legos.
I mean really. They're just legos. - starsky51, on 10/11/2007, -4/+162thanks for that, guys. I couldn't understand what the hell he meant by 'Legos'.
- KnightWhoSaysNi, on 10/11/2007, -15/+128I'm sorry, but I don't care what the marketing and legal departments of some company say.
It's Legos, Photoshopped and Googled. - Platysquirrel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+98PUN SQUAD, ASSEMBLE!
...yeah, I've got nothing.
Forget it guys, disassemble. - sonaro, on 10/11/2007, -10/+104Anyone else grow up with Construx? Those things kicked serious ass.

- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -3/+75Hey, your sense of humor called. It's leaving you because of neglect.
- OdinEye, on 10/11/2007, -2/+54I'm just astonished that he clicked a link saying "Spiderman uses Windows 98" expecting an insightful, relevant news story.
Hey gafasiesornivek: Spider-Man is not real, superheroes are imaginary. It may be time to step out of your mom's basement. - Jeb3030, on 10/11/2007, -2/+53I only had one LEGO so it was never a problem for me.
(I never understood what was so great about it) - Munja, on 10/11/2007, -9/+60Lego wins out every time, the quality is so much better.
However, Mega Bloks have some cool ass designs. The only Mega Bloks i had was this awesome castle with trap doors and other crazy *****. - CanceledCzech, on 10/11/2007, -2/+52Not even Spider-Man can defeat the Blue Screen of Death.
- airquotes, on 10/11/2007, -2/+49I did some IT work for spidy, personal friend. When I ran a spybot S&D I saw he has 107 hits for webcrawler.sling
- GawtMilk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+41You'd be surprised. I take it you're new to Digg? Some people on here will make you want to splatter your face all over your keyboard.
- thestorey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+39Oh my did all your organs fall out?
- HUKI365, on 10/11/2007, -4/+38Ever heard of Technic!?
- Rammsteined, on 10/11/2007, -2/+31I once cut my head off with lego, never quite figured that out.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28Erector Set FTW!!!
No, not really. Except for a name that makes me snicker, Erector sets are the worst toy I ever got.
"What's this? I need a damn wrench?" - armo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+29Meccano ftw
- vertov, on 10/11/2007, -2/+27One can clearly see, that it's not Spidey's PC but one from Oscorp. I guess he just crashed their OS. Haha, that'll teach 'em!
- michaelfrankie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+24My parents could not afford a LEGO or several LEGO. I played with lead painted asbestos shipping containers. Those worked out just fine;al oarf f me safa with no negadgsuo egfets.
- naughtyboy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25He's online right now, it seems.
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/440/spidermanqz8.jpg - digitalice, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25Why is the Oscorp display showing chocolate bars?
- ignavia, on 10/11/2007, -9/+31I can't believe you people are bitching about the use of 'LEGO', when you're not even using uppercase! So you're not correct, either. Yes, the correct plural term is 'LEGO bricks.' And if you use an apostrophe to replace ' brick', you have "LEGO's."
So there. - martalli, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20Wait a sec, my spidey sense...I think the computer's about to BSOD on me!
- serpanterra, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19Whoever designed the computer should have put the same effort into designing the Spiderman! What's with the dinky legs?! They can make him with a muscle-contoured back but can't not make him look like a midget?
- thinker1999, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18I always thought he used windows 98. He has that look...
- martalli, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Yeah, Spiderman isn't a gadget guy, so using windows is no surprise. On the other hand, I would expect that Batman uses Linux. Maybe he could even shoehorn it into some of those great gadgets of his.
- sum1randum, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13My brother and I used Erector sets to make throwing stars and lost most of the parts in our back yard. Some archaeologist in the future is going to find a ton of our homemade "weapons" and be like WTF?
- Markpdotcom, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15Thanks god! Digg down those S using losers! :)
- airquotes, on 10/11/2007, -5/+15How can you tell its 98 from the BSOD? All windows OS can BSOD.. Can you actually read what .sys file caused it ?
- oceandead, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Orsenfelt wrote: "Anybody else cringe and get really annoyed when someone calls Lego, 'Legos' .. I know I sure as hell do."

start screaming about it's Lego instead of lego
*sigh* - ChrisGranger, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10What about Capsela? I loved that stuff when I was little.
- billizm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Instead of Legos, my parents bought me "Lock-Blocks" when I was a kid. Anyone remember those? I can't even find them on google now. They also invested in a few Betas when VCRs were taking over, and bought go-bots instead of transformers. I remember it was hard communicating with the other kids at school about stuff like that.
- blumph, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11all this time i never knew, spiderman lived in a rectum

does anyone else see that that guy's username is kevinrosiesafag backwards? - cappslite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Apparently, so does Batman. Otherwise, he wouldn't have to buy so many monitors.
- Anrkist, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11@sonaro - Yes, my G.I. Joe's fit rather nicely inside of them.
- thisisjason, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10@sonaro
agreed about Construx. I used to build bows and arrows out of nothing but Construx pieces and a rubber band. Plus, putting the tires on the wheels hurt my child hands, but was so rewarding once accomplished. - typobox43, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7It's not necessarily 98, but it's of the 9x line because of the layout of the BSOD.
- Aliarse, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11@armo (#6790165)
Dugg, Meccano rocks. - airstrike, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7@mrc22091:
you actually didn't ruin my day, but you seem to have overreacted and your comment was annoying to say the least. what bug crawled up your ass? - uselessexpert, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6It's an excuse. Ignavia, just admitted, you bought the Megablock set for you, not for your kid. Haha..
- WarMace, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I remember snapping on the beams pinched a lot, but I was able to build way cooler functional stuff. Full scale swords, Taller buildings, Draw-bridges for matchbox, space ships, etc. It was the building toy for other toys!
