Opera Mini 4.1 beta is out

I need Opera Mini for the times I don't have access to a Wifi hotspot rendering the inbuilt N95 browser useless (I can surf on 3.5G HSDPA but it's still too slow rendering the pages even if it downloads quickly) But at least I can use watch youtube videos right on the real site with flashlite 3.
    • prophetpimp, on 04/03/2008, -2/+6Although i hate apple i have to sa WHY? You got Safari and for now have a better browser then anu other mobile device out there. Also opera mini runs through a opera server and nt a full browser. Then content gets downsized and then sent to you.

        Well, it also happens to me with my N95. I have the latest firmware,
        but the phone reboots when Opera mini tries to identify my fonts in the initial operation.

      My phone's (N95) fonts were pre-configured to 120% of the default size and opera mini rebooted my phone when it gathered fonts information. I restored my fonts to the default and it worked.

    • brainflakes, on 04/03/2008, -0/+11That's the whole point of Opera Mini, that's why it's so tiny but can still handle html pages well (gets the server to do all the parsing for it). Maybe you're looking for Opera Mobile http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/ ?

      I was dubious about it at first but it's breathed new life into my ancient siemens s65, it's a _lot_ better then the built in browser

    However, the direct address input seems to press the same key over and over while I'm typing until I hit the delete button. (Like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissss)
    I fixed that though by turning direct input off in the settings, so everything works great!
