- m0zzie, on 06/05/2008, -2/+127i know it isn't new to this release, but i want to say that i absolutely love the address bar. it's so damn useful, i think i'd have a bit of a hard time going back to the old style bar.
good job to the mozilla team. - tastethevenom, on 06/05/2008, -1/+89Once you upgrade and get your extensions working (dig a little deeper than the official repository), there is no turning back. It's stable, zippy, and manages its memory footprint very well.
- natmaster, on 06/04/2008, -3/+91This will most likely be the final RC, meaning it will be equivalent to the Fx3 final launching later this month.
- thefinger, on 06/05/2008, -4/+70Got FF3rc2. Far as I'm concerned, it's a winner.

- DaveLondon, on 06/05/2008, -3/+41You're right - its not "as good" - its better.
- pcabellor, on 06/05/2008, -1/+34Details and screenshots: http://mozillalinks.org/wp/2008/06/firefox-3-rc-2- ...
- Zippo, on 06/05/2008, -1/+28Definitely looking forward to Download Day.
- blackrave, on 06/05/2008, -2/+28I've been committed to using Opera and being of the certainty that it is the best browser. However, Firefox 3 has impressed me so much with the two last release candidates that I will keep using it now, at least until both are released in final builds. Good work.
- tanuki0, on 06/05/2008, -1/+24I can't wait for the final release :D
- Logicwax, on 06/05/2008, -4/+26Hopefully they fix the scrolling "lag".
the touch-finger scroll on macbooks + OSX still has a horrible delay where scrolling seems "queued" (and it doesn't seem to drop anything from the queue) - Drgn547, on 06/05/2008, -1/+23I agree, but have you tried Firefox 3 RC1/RC2 for the mac? It blows away version 2.
- rsibayan, on 06/05/2008, -0/+22-icles
- Kr1ngle0, on 06/05/2008, -0/+21Thats Mo'zilla
*cheesy grin* - armo, on 06/05/2008, -2/+22It really is an awesome bar
- RyanJones, on 06/05/2008, -2/+21Ah. You mean the browser with the major security hole? Not my ideal candidate for a browser... http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/1465 ...
- rossnyc, on 06/05/2008, -2/+20My mother says I am...
- sensor, on 06/05/2008, -1/+19So what are the actual changes in RC2, because those are not listed on that page.
- thegreypilgrim, on 06/05/2008, -0/+17And if you want to test it alongside v2, the portable version of 3.0 RC2 is also out,
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_port ... - bluntphallus, on 06/05/2008, -0/+17Here's an idea. If you want advice, be grateful when someone tries offering it even if it doesn't help too much. Being a dick won't get you far.
Here's my advice to you. It's a test version. Live with it. Use it, find the glitches, and report them to the Mozilla developers. Crying about it on Digg isn't going to help you. - RyanJones, on 06/05/2008, -0/+17The only thing that Firefox sends to google is search request and information about the current privacy lists to that they can be kept up-to-date.
- arjie, on 06/05/2008, -1/+17Maybe those sites are using bad user agent detection? Try spoofing UA to Firefox 2 or something. The extension you want is User Agent Switcher.
- nubtard, on 06/05/2008, -0/+16And it should be added that this feature is completely optional.
- koenigje, on 06/05/2008, -2/+16I don't want another RC......I want the real deal!!!
- TwistedMenta, on 06/05/2008, -2/+15When I first started using it I thought it was a regression on the whole idea of the autocomplete address bar but after using it for a week and finally figuring out that you can type in parts of addresses and even titles I'm loving it.
- whiteguysamurai, on 06/05/2008, -0/+13I like the theme when installed under vista, very clean!
- sevenalive, on 06/05/2008, -3/+15Are you a dumbass. Just check for updates and restart firefox. Wow that is such a hassle.
- Brutis, on 06/05/2008, -0/+12get foxit
- AvidPreatorian, on 06/05/2008, -1/+13i use macs, and safari doesnt hold a candle to firefox3. grow up.
- mcrules, on 06/05/2008, -1/+12All I need is google to fix browser sync and I will upgrade. I consider that possibly one of the best add ons for firefox. Come on google!
- BrendanSheehan, on 06/05/2008, -0/+11150 people pledged in Nigeria? It's a strange ol' world.
- Erroneus, on 06/05/2008, -1/+12If you are looking for bookmark sync only, http://www.foxmarks.com/ is a great alternative.
- veeshy, on 06/05/2008, -1/+12I want my extensions, err--add ons, but I also want this. sigh
- specialK16, on 06/05/2008, -0/+11Thank you very much for being a complete jerk. Listen dude, you want help, ask, but don't expect one answer to solve your issue. More importantly, try to be more thankful and respectful with the people who are actually trying to help you.
- indiepenguins, on 06/05/2008, -1/+12https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/670 ...
- TheHogester, on 06/05/2008, -3/+13Yeah i tried it. It's good, but i still always use Safari.
- specialK16, on 06/05/2008, -0/+10You can type anything in there! If it is in your history, it will find it. So useful I must say!
- lordmetroid, on 06/05/2008, -2/+12You are a winner...
- RyanJones, on 06/05/2008, -1/+11This version was never going to pass the Acid3 test - it was too late in it's development cycle to add the required features by the time Acid3 was officially released.
- blackrave, on 06/05/2008, -1/+11Dugg*
- Hollywood, on 06/05/2008, -0/+10I had it crash on start up. Previous versions didn't.
Ended up being the Pic Lens addon causing the issue. I had to start Firefox in Safe Mode and turn off all the addons. - Powerdrift, on 06/05/2008, -5/+14Ah! The theme still looks horrible on OS X!
- MelroseMan, on 06/05/2008, -1/+10What you mean having to scroll and click about 4 times!? That's just crazy
- polishdude06, on 06/05/2008, -2/+10TMI dude
- indiepenguins, on 06/05/2008, -0/+8I agree. Its one of the main reasons I've stuck with Safari as my primary browser.
- Atlantics, on 06/05/2008, -0/+8"QA has an RC2 test day scheduled for next Friday all users are more than welcomed to join, and the results of this and the following days will most likely answer whether RC2 will be just renamed or they will go squeeze a few more bugs."
- RyanJones, on 06/05/2008, -1/+9Do yuo have any idea what your taking about? You can't even accurately measure the memory use for IE because it's components are integrated and pre-loaded into windows. And even with that Fx 3's memory usage is still better.
