computerworld.com — Mozilla Corp. today unveiled a Web application that speeds Firefox customization by offering users several sets of pre-selected add-ons.Dubbed "Fashion Your Firefox," the online application provides nine sets of Firefox extensions, each with a catchy label and some descriptive text.

Then, we could have easily built and distributable customized versions that could be deployed across and Enterprise for instance. Or you could distribute among a team, for specific work purposes. Or, say education, for instance. Great way to target an audiance.
  • twiztidsinz, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2I have a folder with the download page for all my Firefox add-ons. If I'm ever anywhere and want to get "my" Firefox (or after a new install, say when testing out a Linux distro) I'll just create a new profile, install foxmarks, download my bookmarks and then right click the folder and choose to Open All In Tabs. It takes about 30~45 sec to install all of them, restart Firefox and I'm good to go.

  • JK1947, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2The title made me think they have launched a new browser ( or a new version of FF ) which is even more "pimp-able" than the already existing FF. Then I found out it was just a promotion of a few extensions. Good for people new to FF, it might help them find some good extensions. But not of much use to me.

    But,still, dugg for the wonderful extension, "morning coffee".

    Plus it also makes your bookmarks and settings and, well everything, portable.

    Just poses some problems with "plugins". Though flash and shockwave plugins work fine.
