- ziadoz, on 10/12/2007, -10/+45I'm a Firefox user, but seriously, partying over a browser? Bit over the top. Yeah yeah I know, open source/Linux/Apple fanboys Digg me down already.
- Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27Check out the Firefox Party site to see if there are any parties near you:

Party like it's 1999! - ziadoz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18@polumrak
I didn't feel it was fair to exclude any of the wide variety of fanboys that make up 99% of the Digg user base. And yes, Apple fanboys are the source of all evil. - pile0nades, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14It's a party! Who cares what its about LOL!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15How 'bout an IceWeasel launch party!?
- ki1022, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10They should consider giving out bundles of dank instead of schwag.
- Corrosionx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I personally party everytime they release a nightly build.
- seanmc303, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13I'll party when they have all of their memory leaks plugged.
- kidd3ckz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i will travel up to 120 miles to attend any party handing out dank.
- therernospoons, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Boooooo to those parties that require invites. Whatever happened to the open source idea to have open parties? ;)
- Kahnza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5What is the official launch date for Firefox 2? Anyone know?
- ki1022, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Who's coming to my IE7 party???!?!?! Cmon guys!!
- LeftistPersona, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5haha, i'd host one for all the free stuff they'd send you
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8I hope they're giving out RAM!!!
{ducks} - fatalfury, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Last time I checked schwag is slang for crappy weed
- baldr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4the date is not announced yet, should be around October 27th. for the latest info on scheduled releases:

- fatalfury, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Heck, I'd take the free schwag
- MasterDirk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6A lot of people are commenting that having a party about a browser is lame, or over-the-top. That's exactly the kind of attitude that makes people think nerds/geeks/whatever-I-haven't-studied-the-nomenclature are boring and socially inept. If you can have a party because it's Saturday (kinda happens weekly), you can surely party over the major milestone-release of a browser (not exactly weekly, is it)?
So, pfffft to all you naysayers, and bring on the booze and the giant fiery foxes to adore. And let's bring some IceWeasels to put in our drinks as well.
Party-poopers, the lot of you, just don't go! - webwormx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes, but that one is invitation only.
- Litespeed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah and they weren't cool then either.
Seriously, how would it sound explaining it to your mates?
- "I'm going to a party on Friday...."
- "Who's is it?"
- "Mozilla's"
- "Who's that?"
- "They make a web browser"
- "You're going to a party to celebrate software???" - therernospoons, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3anyone see this party?
http://www.firefoxparty.com/parties/view/96
It's in the water of the north pole LOL - GerryDaman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm having a Google party soon too. yee ha!
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Not at all over the top.....Opera did the same thing when they released Opera 9.0....Just a way of Celebrating Firefox turning 2. I'll be going to the Ale House Party.
- itanshi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I added one in Indiana. I'm up for suggestions on how to conduct it.
- ziadoz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@pulumrak
I take it you didn't notice you were at a computer when you wrote that? By your own standards you have no life. - greatromance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL I didn't think there would actually be a party in Utah. W00t.
- an0nym0us, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I ain't going to go rub myself with smelly geeks. They don't know how to *****' party.
- supaflystud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Man I am a fanboy for linux no doubt about it, but I would feel a little uneasy @ a party about a browser, especially at one which I knew no one. Not saying I wouldn't think about attending it though for some logo'd out pens and other crap :0)
- atomicnoodle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems ridiculous to me. A party for a web browser?!?!
- brandizzle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I wanted to go to one but there's none near here (Boston) right now =(
- thefinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hear that is Deliverance country. But that could be just an ugly rumor.
- Kragnerac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ubuntu Edgy Eft Release Party!!! :D
- thefinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm digging some of you guys up, just for having the party spirit. Like someone else said, never mind what the party's for. I'd go if there were one in my locale.
- thefinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Make up some key Firefox questions and make sure your party guests can answer them at the door. You don't want any scummy IE users or the snooty ingrates who use Opera. It's just that I'm not sure what the key questions would be.
- archerx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So who's hosting the Switzerland party?
- Majken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No, the party is for the people that want to go to the party and socialize with others who have the same interests. How is that any more pointless than having a party where everyone lugs their machines with them to sit in a room playing the same video games with the same people that you play with when you were at home? They're both pointless, and they're both FUN!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Now we just need 500 people ready to part for ICE weasel, and when they are told its firefox, to look sad, and walk out
- walkingcrow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Sad, I don't see any party's in wyoming.
- exobyte, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Lame. The only party near me (Mozilla HQ Party) is invite only. Almost as sad as the time I was out of town for my local LUG's Debian birthday (Ian Murdock attended).
- iNoles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Wow, one party in Florida is Gainesville, i'm not going there.
- exobyte, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The Silicon Valley party is invite only, so don't feel too bad.
- NiX0n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@webwormx
Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's kind already one planned in Mountain View by Mozilla Headquarters,
http://www.firefoxparty.com/parties/view/1 - mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Whats the party for? Launching of a 2nd version of their application? We do that every day, no one throws us a party.
- NiX0n, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Aren't I lucky. What a coincidence :)
I'm hosting a huge LAN party that weekend. Yall should come, (It's in Michigan)
http://www.fragfest.cx/ - dynacrylic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Nothing in WV! ... and nothing close to WV.
Too bad my little apartment wasn't any bigger. I would have a shing-ding then. - webwormx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm Hosting a big one in Mountain View, CA
http://www.firefoxparty.com/parties/view/113 - nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1There's a party in Lethbridge! Ha ha, that'll be a rager. Maybe Taber will come.
