Software application + tab = instant hit - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you mean opera style tabs........
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice stuff
- tarun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Can my tabs have tabs? Why not? Think outside the tab, people. :)
- alexpach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fantastic!
I hate multiple message windows as much as I hate multiple web browser windows. Tabs account for probably half of firefox's success.
Just wait until every email client will have this feature... shouldn't be long - carebearwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's just like Lotus Notes (v6 at least.)
Only reason I know that is that I work at IBM, and they use Notes instead of Outlook (for shame, but it's obvious why they do it that way.)
Now if we used OS/2 Warp instead of Windows... - bradbwh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Worth noting that Yahoo! Mail (beta) uses a tabbed interface. It's a closed beta; here's a review--

- elcaro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice feature !! . Installed the patched Tbird, liked it !!
DIGG !! - thetbad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Before we go all tab-crazy, how about a decent calendar/task integration that synchs with Palm first?
- Skrag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now how about some tabbed WoW, tabbed Photoshop, and tabbed...er...*tries to think of another thing that should have tabs but doesnt already have them* wow i didnt realize so many things already had tabs or similar (excel, most media players, in one way or another...)
Tabs are awesome. Power to the tab! *gasps* digg needs tabs XD - Friedbeef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Vista should have tabs too... I want tabs for my folders...
- jayf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In this age, any document viewing software without tabbed support is just wrong. It's sad that this feature this isn't more common.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0tab is back, I love that soda
- dwbell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@troyDoogle7
we have a tabbed 'file explorer' it's called konqueror. - N2EI, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And if you put enough tabs within tabs, then you have...A drop down menu.
- Photar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Path Finder 4 (http://www.cocoatech.com) is a Finder Replacement for the mac that will have tabs when they release it this month.
- troydoogle7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You know the saying that a story is always better if its set in space... heres one for the 21st century. An application is always better if it has tabs...Tabs in file explorer please
- dono169, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now we just need MS Office to have tabs.
- Flipino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I second a "tab extension" for TB. Though personally I would rather see better News:// support (spanned attachments, yenc, etc) first. (To each their own...)
Hasn't Eudora been doing tabs for some time? (...well, in the form of a taskbar ...) - john21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0great stuff, but I am expecting more :)
- zdiggler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Everybody love the the guy got pick up the tab at the bar!
- mindsinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0FF 1.5 just drove me nuts. Is anyone else having a problem with there bookmarks & search engines disappearing? I've uninstalled rebooted reinstalled...deleted leftover files in prog files and doc's and setting and still nothing and reinstalled and still nothing. It was working just fine 2 days ago. I haven't installed or even used my pc since then. It's works perfectly on my PoS laptop but not my desktop. WTF!
- MrPhelps, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"For example, when I close a tab, the tab I just came from should be the one FF focuses backs to."
No, it should not :) I like it the way it is. I think it is already an option though. Or maybe is it in opera? - Digisurfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like tabs where appropriate (I think Windows Explorer would be a nice place to have them for example), but I honestly can't really see the point of tabs in Thunderbird. The devs of FF and TB really need to focus on some of the smaller issues instead, many of which need extensions to fix which makes no sense to me. For example, when I close a tab, the tab I just came from should be the one FF focuses backs to. This should be the default behaviour, or an option at least, not an extension (FLST) I have to install just to make a program logically work the way it should. FF and TB are chock full of nuisances like this, though I suppose I should be thankful that FF 1.5 now prevents links from creating new windows, and that tabs can now be manually reordered. Some progress is better than none I suppose. So, can someone tell me why tabs in TB is so important? Otherwise, no digg from me.
- mindsinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Found a fix for it. Just install an older version of FF(I used 1.0.6) then reinstall 1.5. Dunno WTF all that crap was about...

I just put tabs on my ass. It so easy going to the bathroom now. Tab one is for a #1 and Tab two is for a #2 and Tab 3 is for my girlfriend. - Mohan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0we have the feature in Lotus Notes. Its a very good feature. Hope it makes into the mainstream release fast!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No Firefox, no digg!
