- fkr3, on 12/10/2007, -1/+63Nice... gizmodo's reduced themselves to scraping a google image search for a story!
- Dubbsacc, on 12/10/2007, -1/+45Since when did Microsoft make the Phoenix BIOS?
- DiggOrNotToDigg, on 12/10/2007, -3/+44Very Very lame...anyone with basic programming knowledge can create those error message box and write anything on it.
- diidiiidiid, on 12/10/2007, -1/+38I didn't know you could recycle the 'recycle bin'. At least it's environmental
- godofpumpkins, on 12/10/2007, -0/+31You'd think they would blur out the fact that they were trying to copy a pirated release of Cakewalk, even if it did take two millennia to complete the copy.
- inactive, on 12/10/2007, -1/+31i viewed about 3 and had to close the window.. That site sucks for firefox. the goddamn video ad overlays most of the error messages.
- imbob, on 12/10/2007, -5/+34stupid MAC ad i cant c
- FredFredrickson, on 12/10/2007, -2/+28Gizmodo does a piece on absurd Windows errors, and the page is plastered with Mac ads. Honestly, between this, the CNET Vista page with Mac ads all over it, and the whole Gamespot / Gerstmann thing, is there any credibility in online journalism anymore?
- upfrontfanatic, on 12/10/2007, -0/+24Since when did facts or reality stop people from trying to bash Microsoft?
Maybe I should just go and post all the "funny" compiler warnings I got when I compiled the most recent Linux kernel. - Maddoktor2, on 12/10/2007, -0/+24Here you go, make some of your own:
http://atom.smasher.org/error/ - sladek, on 12/10/2007, -0/+17Last time I checked, there was a picture section. Use it
- tHePeOPle, on 12/10/2007, -0/+17Not to mention their horribly retarded gallery navigation.
- sabaoth, on 12/10/2007, -2/+19This would be fun if it said how to reproduce the error, without that half of them could very well be photoshoped. Also note that many of this screens are for 3rd party applications and not Windows itself... Quickly! Search for Engrish in Japanese apps and submit to get to the front page!
Buried for being lame. - KnightMareInc, on 12/10/2007, -2/+18pretty sure recycling the recycle bin would tear a hole in the space time continuum
- specialK16, on 12/10/2007, -0/+11Just like dividing by 0!!
- FredFredrickson, on 12/10/2007, -1/+12Thing is, these aren't Windows errors anyway - they are errors in Windows created by 3rd party apps... so basically, anyone could make them, and ay program could generate them for whatever reason.
- tHeSiD, on 12/10/2007, -0/+11since when did Pheonix bios error considered a Windows ERROR?
retards.... most of the errors can be easily photoshoped and i'm so shocked to see that most of the population here think that "I gotta say this one is the best." what the hell .. what the bloddy hell!! - samanathon, on 12/10/2007, -1/+10I couldn't agree more - worse yet, why are people fascinated by Windows errors that appear in public? Do they not realize that almost piece of media you see is actually a computer program? And yes, just like your desktop, they sometimes crash.
- tHeSiD, on 12/10/2007, -0/+8well, if you worked with windows for a long enough duration, you will surely know that its all *****..
- ventralnet, on 12/10/2007, -0/+8Umm most of these aren't windows errors. These are application errors running on windows.
- aliguana, on 12/10/2007, -1/+9what are those big bloody white boxes overlaying the (probably fake) pictures? Mac ads? Sorry Jobsy, you've had enough money off me, without getting my ad-views.
- FredFredrickson, on 12/10/2007, -0/+7That's the same way Macs work, 90% of the time. I'd rather get any of those errors instead of just seeing the application vanish before my eyes.
- tHeSiD, on 12/10/2007, -1/+8then you would be branded an official "M$ fanboy" ..
i dont get these people - smek2, on 12/10/2007, -1/+8*yawn* if you try to generate traffic for your site to earn a few cents, at least look like you tried. Funny that you're giggling at some error dialogs. In Linux, my Apps just disappear without a warning (FireFox, i'm looking at you).
- Blitzenn, on 12/10/2007, -1/+8Interesting to see all of the Apple fan boys pile on the comments section. Also interesting to note that each and every one of the errors shown are either caused by a third party application faulting or approrpriate in it's context. The simpletons who make fun of things because they are too busy laughing to understand are truly the fools.
- dlm85, on 12/10/2007, -1/+8Looks like someone got a pirated copy of Sonar on their machine. I am not sure I don't know if official releases have been in RAR format.
- Dubbsacc, on 12/10/2007, -0/+7Are you going to post them as windows errors when you're done?
- Psyfrox, on 12/10/2007, -0/+6Same happening to me.
- FredFredrickson, on 12/10/2007, -1/+7What is awesome about a loss in journalistic integrity?
- DteK, on 12/10/2007, -0/+6For some reason after upgrading to Fedora 8 I had two trash bins on my desktop.
I was able to dump one into the other but I cannot determine if I have destroyed the integrity
of the space time continuum. Little help please? - bightchee, on 12/10/2007, -2/+8It's only a matter of time before we have a network television show hosted by Bill Cosby where he shares with us all the hilarious and wacky things computers do.
- ChayD, on 12/10/2007, -1/+6I dunno about that, but there's a huge iMac obscuring half the images I'm trying to look at. I'm not sure, but I think Apple
are trying to tell us something :) - ChayD, on 12/10/2007, -0/+5"No you don't want to see those funny windows pics - YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY A MAC" lol
- lucutus, on 12/10/2007, -0/+5Why is this getting dugg? There is nothing new here accept that lame Mac Add covering up half the old windows error images.
- ajchavar, on 12/10/2007, -0/+4why do ads on gizmodo always ***** up the page layout? i know i'm going to get a ton of people telling me about adblock, but why does gizmodos page design always not align properly and literally force ads over the content?!
- nekochan, on 12/10/2007, -0/+4this isn't 4chan. keep your cities to yourself.
- demonstro, on 12/10/2007, -0/+4Way to go gizmodo. sarc
- mancat, on 12/10/2007, -0/+4No surprise seeing as that HP's software is probably developed in Bangladesh.
- KraftDinner101, on 12/10/2007, -0/+4Wow, a horribly formatted website. The side ad covered up some of the images.
- inactive, on 12/10/2007, -1/+5my first experience of linux was hellish, it took me 3 hours to get the ati driver installed, then for no reason at all, the next day it uninstalled itself and refused to reinstall so i had to format the damned thing, and it did it again, so i went back to windows xp >.
- yodaj007, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3Correction: It's the "Vice Presidential Action Rangers"
- tHeSiD, on 12/10/2007, -1/+4http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=Google&go=Se ...
i think if you tried it out, you wouldn't have posted that and you wouldn't seem that stupid - ryan83189, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3Was that site designed on a mac, by an idiot? terrible layout, with overlapping.
- inactive, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3WHAT A MACTARD of an article. Man wonder what their penis envy is like and the excuses they make for that as well?!
- simpleid, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3sweet, fractal errors, error creating an error report, could there ever be an error creating *that error? :-D
- ventralnet, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3Windows has risen to be one of the most used pieces of software on this planet. I wouldn't call that "awesomly ***** software"
- andnever, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3or windows explorer?
- tHeSiD, on 12/10/2007, -0/+2aaah!! some sanity! exactly my thoughts..
if you dont like it.. stop using it!!
they cant use it and they themselves mess their system by obsessing about porn, they go on ranting ...
if you liked this.... god help you - simpleid, on 12/10/2007, -0/+2America's Funnest Computer Videos; not bad, maybe a podcast? now that it has been mentioned it'll happen. blame yourself. :-p
