What is this, fark.com? - MrCoke, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15this is a joke article people, calm down and laugh
- fodder0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12haha?
- viriiman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I can just see calling to active windows now:
Operator: How can I help you?
Customer: I just reinstalled windows and need to active it
Operator: Ok, one moment. Hmm...we don't seem to have you retina scan, your fingerprint or your colonic map on file. - aristotle0dude, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14Damn are you a retard or do you just have low reading comprehension skills?
What does "Satirical article on Vista WGA by BBspot" mean to you? Learn to read. I'd suggest contacting your nearest Sylvan Learning center.
Try reading past the title next time. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Humm.... has anyone *actually* check to see if Microsoft's fingerprint authentication software doesn't phone home?
- hansamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I can spot satire just fine... *yawn*
- Promantarius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5In their defense it should've really been filed under comedy, not software (considering it's comedy and all).
- valis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Marked as paranoid. *chuckles*
- raldz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5hmm.. close to reality.. maybe Microsoft is indeed going that way..
- moonhead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Good to see they tell the truth about linux at the same time. -
"policy like this would be impossible because there are no Linux drivers available for retinal scanners." - rolfeman02, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Do you know the definition of "satirical?'
Edit: Damnit, aristotle0dude beat me to it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Next thing you know, you'll need a bill signed by Congress in order to be fully WGA
- rolfeman02, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Do me a favor...go to www.dictionary.com and type in the word "satire" and read what comes up.
- geekoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That's a good idea... They take the piss a lot already anyway.
- jivemasta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That made me laugh harder than the article did.
- justnick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah, it's not inaccurate. It is lame, very lame though.
If you bury something, bury it for the right reasons. - nazsco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4> Meh, the title is just about the only punchline this satire contains.
You're probably an american who already take that crap when flying or buying groceries - salmonmoose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Damn are you a retard or do you just have low reading comprehension skills?

If your feed reader only shows titles of articles, and you see one like this, click on it, wait for digg to load the page, only to find it's BS you do feel kind of duped. No one has said that there is anything wrong with satire, however please try to keep the site worth checking by allowing people to see that it is "satire" from the title. Perhaps Digg should have a humour section. - EdLesMann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I call BS!!
When will people learn to stop bashing Linux for its lack of drivers? Its ALL the manufactures fault! Besides Ubuntu has user made drivers! You just have to open the otherverse repositories...
# I know many people on the board cant recognize satire, but I figured I would give it a shot :-D - kuriharu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love the last line -- they can't switch to Linux because there are no drivers for retinal scanners.
Of course, to be fair to Linux, there are probably drivers, it would just take about 3-400 attempts to get them to work. - iNoles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wonder MS need your DNA??? Would they going to make a Borg Army of this?
- AssultMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Seeing how many people think this is inaccurate news, not satire, I'm no longer surprised how Fox News can broadcast its ***** and retain an audience.
- thenonhacker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed, I thought it was a satire about Microsoft only, then there's a mini-Linux satire at the end too, really made my day. ^_____^
- valis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2oops.
- magnum818, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I only wish I could write good satire, like so.
- gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Of course its a word, it means a huge sum. Your reading skills too poor perhaps?
- franksands, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think this is the best part:
Murderers and rapists are not the only ones worried. Conspiracy theorists fear that Microsoft could be using the information to build a giant army of clones. Tipton denied the claims saying that, "If we were going to augment our army of clones, we wouldn't be doing it with DNA from crackpots like them." - moovitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ohh man, Can i send my DNA in the form of a urine sample... Because i would really like to give my piss to Microsoft!
- justnick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It also happens to be a joke. Apparently not a very good one.
- deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Don't laugh... this is going to happen sooner or later. Right now the hardware is too expensive and unreliable but in another 10 years it will be mass producible.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Meh, the title is just about the only punchline this satire contains.
- ig33k010011, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2the sad thing is that i was actually believing it at first... i wouldn't be surprised if Microsucks actually tried to do that.
- lordxeon, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4i wouldn't be surprised! Hell, i wouldn't be surprised if some of the things BBspot says actually come true one day, or, at least, some weird almost kinda true way.
- tektalk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3what the *****? thats not funny and its just lame comedy.
not even close to satire. - cianuro, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Ahhhh.... Satirical. :)
- razei, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5This is talking about requiring a fingerprint to verify that you actually own your copy of Windows Vista, not logging on.
- effward, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0"Microsoft loses over six gazillion dollars in revenue each year"
Since when is gazillion a word? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2lol
- ws6fire, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3Marked as inaccurate too.
- ModernGeek, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4Marked as inaccurate.
- JrGhoull, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3i have a microsoft finger printer reader, my dad uses it all the time, loves it. i SERIOUSLY doubt u need to have ur finger print scanned before accessin vista (especially since A. they arnt that standard or popular and B. because people have figured out how to get passed these things...i think using gummy bears..) but hey if it does then i'm all set for later on :-D
- roquetin, on 10/12/2007, -14/+4Marked as inaccurate. It's irresponsible to post a title like this on basically an information-gathering site like Digg, and it's misleading. A very large % of readers are going to be frustrated when they find yet another misleading article title.
