- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14^ Shut up.
- thbaero, on 10/29/2007, -0/+10yep, i can only agree. works fine with winamp and does exactly what its supposed to do no fancy features. just the basics. but those work well.
- HardSide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9My question is, to what server does it log into to get these lyrics?
- gkzhang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8If you are on the linux side, you should check out Amarok.
It already has this feature built in.
It also has a tab for the Wikipedia page of the artist you are listening to and also some neat personal statistics for the artist and the song. - b.m.a.n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7cool little thing, could come in handy, instead of going over the internet to find crap
- Snakedal337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Wow, it retrieves the lyrics really fast!
- alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm running Vista right now, and it works fine with WMP 11.
- suprfli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Love this!
I was really surprised by how fast the lyrics appeared. I expected there to be a wait between the song starting and when the lyrics are pulled down but it's nearly instantaneous. Awesome!! - alwaysmc2, on 10/29/2007, -0/+6it get's them from it's own website. (lyricsplugin.com)

Works with iTunes. - consonance, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5There's one feature in this plug-in that I don't like - It uses Internet Explorer to view the lyrics, as opposed to other lyrics plug-ins (like Leo's Lyrics). Call me crazy, but I'm wary of having to use IE 6 when there's the possibility of rogue users initiating an attack against my computer.
- gti8v, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like the winamp plugin at http://www.leoslyrics.com/ which lets you save the lyrics to the mp3 tag
- Egotrippin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2One of the Better plugins I'ver seen. Thanks for the link.
- nfg05, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5anything like this for itunes?
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i like it.. i've thought about searching for something like this.. i do a lot of google searches that start out with the word lyrics, include band name and a couple words from the song... this will save me some time whenever i'm curious
- jumpingbeenz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@gmc14
Yea, in the top right hand corner of that site, it has a link to the lyrics plug in website - lepermessiah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Neat. No frills attached. Would be interesting to see if it stays this way.
- j00fek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2nice app
- gmc14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can only speculate, but the title uses the same font / style as
"http://www.lyricsdir.com/" so I would guess they are related in some way. - jutgreen, on 12/06/2008, -0/+2I have been looking for something like this for WinAmp! I got attached to the lyrics plugin in Amarok. Now I can have lyrics when on my Windows partion.
- MasterBeowulf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wow... this is really a great add on to WinAmp/WMP!! and it saves me so much time trying to looking up lyrics! I'd give it more diggs if i could!
- Altanar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why are you using winamp 2.8? If you like the style, just get Winamp 5.3 and set it to classic mode.
- NismoDrift, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2only shows lyrics for mainstream or at least somewhat popular songs no mixtapes or underground lyrics.
- PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I use EvilLyrics, have been for over a year now, works great. http://www.evillabs.sk/evillyrics/
- wheeldawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Works great. ^_^ I love it.
- makeurchoice, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4MiniLyrics work too + Compatibility with 15 players other features:
# Trial version that never expires!!
# Cool skins!
# Do scrolling lyrics that go with the song
http://www.crintsoft.com/minilyrics.htm - XonnoX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn, gti8v beat me to it. http://leoslyrics.com has the best plugin I've found for winamp. It's a full integration in saves the lyrics and displays in them winamp rather than just opening an iframe. You can also edit the lyrics if they are incorrect and they will display correctly every time thereafter.
- AltruiSisu, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2fantastic simple plugin. it even conforms to whatever skin one is using (at least with winamp 5.x).
also, i played a rammstein tune (german band) to see what it displayed and it came up with the german lyrics first, and the english translation below...fantastic!
*two thumbs up* - terrab0t, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Thanks for pointing out Minilyrics. I don't use itunes, but I've been using Evillyrucs for quite a while and I've always found it's support for auto-scrolling lyrics to be buggy and frustrating to say the least. Minilyrics uses the much more reliable .lrc format. The only repair necessary is often just a quick nudge up or down to put it in sync with your version of the recording.
I've actually used my PC to host karaoke parties with Evillyrics and DeFX for Winamp to remove the vocals from songs and only having a small collection of tracks with working autoscrolling lyrics forced me to sit and scroll things manually. I may have a monitor for winamp and a TV showing the lyrics (as a second monitor), but If I have to "operate" the lyrics display manually I can't let people hunt through my collection for songs while another one is playing. I may be doing another one of these events soon and this will make things a LOT more enjoyable. - nacquatella, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Extremely Fast!
Excellente plugin. - ryan4477, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1works fine in my WMP 11, pretty sure its beta 2 but it could be some media player from mars, my home planet.
- sdcrepcia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I stumbled upon this about a week ago and it works fine with most songs on WMP. You can add you own lyrics if it doesn't find the lyrics by itself. Pretty cool add-on.
- tetrodotoxin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like this plugin a lot, saves me the time of hunting down lyrics to copy and paste as i please. Def. the most useful Winamp plugin i've encountered.
- CursedFrogurt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tell me about it. they don't have Kung-Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas -- very disappointing.
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, it's quick at loading them too...! I mean, despite the digg currently in effect.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, very fast!
- davidepaula, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just Love it!!!
- GlargTheKelfn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3if not paying huge licensing fees, shut down my the riaa in 3....2....
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Leo's Lyric plugin for WinAmp is pretty good.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool... Very Cool.
- ryan4477, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2yay for pointing out my FAVORITE media player!!!!!!!!!! i LOVE amaroK!!!!!!!!!! when i switch back and forth between windows and linux i sometimes get too used to being able to close out of it and it still running adn i close out of windows media player ^_^
anyways this plugin ROCKS instant lyrics, now i know what they're saying ^_^ - GlargTheKelfn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1havent you heard? riaa is taking down lyrics and tab sites now. olga is gone. serveral tab sites are gone and so are most us lyrics servers.
- pharmer1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Greatest plugin ever. Thanks for sharing.
- Mojorat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1huh uhm no... what are they doing bad? their just showing the lyrics that u can get on thousands of other websites for free also..
- Rayza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome, it pops them up almost instantly! Suprising, I thought they'd be slower..
- wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anybody know if this works with WMP11 Beta 2? And anybody want to bet how long until the RIAA issues a C&D letter?
- PsychoPNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Works great with WMP 11 also. I am very surprised, I tried on of these before with WMP 10 and it just plain didn't work.
- hansamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been using this plugin for a few months now, best thing ever to use at work where I want to know some lyrics but don't want to go to a bunch of crap lyric sites.
- LDinOR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Once I installed it I could not even get WinAmp 2.8 to open, crashed as soon as clicked. Deleted plugin, I'll stick with EvilLyrics as it has never given me a problem.
- ZeonZumDeikun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've had it for a few months now, and I absolutely love it. I never cared for visualizations all that much, and this little fella puts that space to use. And there's like no delay, which is icing on the deliciously nerdy cake.
