Actually, sounds a lot like bottled water.- shillbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You're also paying for support. Although, I choose to get free support from forums :)

Roofi.net > Limewire - Apreche, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Is Limewire spyware or not? How about a Linux version of LImewire PRO for free?
- mhl12, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1there is NO spyware in Limewire.
and personally, I thought Frostwire was a lot slower than Limewire. And thanks for the link. Digg. - cwl157, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0i have the FREE version of limewire and have been using it for a long time on linux and windows and thats legit. The Pro version might be different though i dont know anytime there is a program that the official website says pay for and then some random website says you can get it for free i usally dont trust it but the free version works well enough for me.
- hammydude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It works...no spyware/bad stuff...I downloaded it.
I think it is very good for finding pretty much any song you want, but not for programs/apps. Then i use utorrent.
+digg - L2006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No spy ware shortyz.
- helfire, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"it’s written in the generally buggy Java platform."
haha, ya tell nasa that when they use it in mission critial probes to mars... - WickedDrag0oN, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2I have the income to buy ***** now this is useless to me...
Use warez responsibly, if you can pay for it then do so.
Buy > Warez- shillbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2WTF. It's not warez. Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Limewire AND Limewire Pro are OPEN SOURCE (GPL). Did you even read the title of this page? "LimeWire Pro, for free, LEGALLY!" I suggest you spend more time reading before you lower your hands onto the keyboard to type.
- Hacktivist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6needs more ads on the download link
- Abel-Nightroad, on 10/12/2007, -11/+0Limewire is for nubs and scrubs.

Amen - Schrade, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Why do people bother with anything other than BitTorrent anymore?
- L2006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Because Schrade, it's impractical to download just one song using bittorrent. And it's much faster.
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Schrade. Bittorrent only works if a file is extremely popular. It burns fast and bright. Limewire is better for music because it's more of an archive for music than a top 40 list ;).
- tehpwn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0My limewire is pwned. I cant open it without a "windows encountered a error hahaha time to close"
Anyone got help for that? or a better program?
or can you compile the source and sent it?

Thx...BUDDY - JamesWilson, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0^^ I mean, really!
- DJMac317, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1No mac version for download. Crap.
- merdeisel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Ive been useing a cracked version of LimewirePro for quite sometime now... works really good when what i needs not on bittorrent or irc.
- dariram, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0not mac friendly verison..or at least i cant find one
- compwizz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@Apreche, They do have a Free PRO version for Linux, there is a link at the very bottom of this page: http://www.limewirepro.net.tc/
- northLite, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1just get it off bittorrent
when somethings not on bittorrent its a good alternative - mizi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Much like many of you, I rely on torrent sites (as well as IRC) and they work just fine if I am looking for full albums and etc, however, if you are looking for something tough to find, singles, remixes, etc. LimeWire Pro is the way to go. Run PeerGuardian when you download ***** off of LimeWire, don't share anything and you're good to go. Its really that simple.
- compwizz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@ DJMac317 and dariram, Look at the very bottom of the page, there is a link that takes you to another download site. The file contains versions for Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, OS/2 Etc.
- sanmarcos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Its is not java that sucks, it is Swing. Anyways, SWT and Os X solve that problem.
Swings API is great. Cocoa in contrast is for masochists.
Gnutella sucks. Emule is much better and Amule on Linux.
Check out GIFT too.
I hate it when all those Mac ***** take advantage of open source software and they dont even know the basics and dont contribute anything back - Steeple, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2"If You Want To Download The Complete ZIP Package For Windows, MAC OS X, Linux, Solaris, OS/2 Etc Then Click HERE (http://rapidshare.de/files/12391144/LimeWirePRO4in1.zip.html) 21.2MB"
- ryan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"No mac version for download. Crap."
I suggest using AquisitonX if you want to use Limewire for the Mac. It connects to the Limewire networks except everything the application is designed to run beautifully on the Mac, taking advantage of it's great features.
http://www.acquisitionx.com/ - silencery, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Another vote for frostwire.

Water is never free though. Even from the tap it costs money... - Scavenger333, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Re: Mac versions - there's a link at the bottom of the page for a 4-in-1 downloadable zip file that says the following: If You Want To Download The Complete ZIP Package For Windows, MAC OS X, Linux, Solaris, OS/2 Etc Then Click HERE (RapidShare) 21.2MB

- nsbomb, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1This doesn't necessarily mean the content is legal
- theredfist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"don't share anything and you're good to go. Its really that simple."- mizi
Yeah that is a good plan, everyone should do it...
...oh wait then there are no files.
If you can't trust your source for files, get a better one. Don't just leech. - dandyhighwayman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Funny how many people think that if you pay for Limewire, you are not doing anything illegal.
- StickWST, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Awesome, are the speeds as good as they say. By the way, have you noticed that limewire pro is avaible on the gnutella network aso? lol.
- PhAdE, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I've had pro for a long time...I just downloaded it using the free version of limewire.
