- t3hX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0(I didn't start this btw, just found it.) Seriously, the OFT should stop using Microsoft products and start doing what they should - ending this monopoly.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Of course there's always this explanation:
Microsoft Market Domance = heard mandated mediocrity - t3hX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@blowdart
The OFT in the US where we mean has not bothered to investigate. The OFT in the UK has, and through some unknown force has somehow managed to find them innocent of any wrongdoing, despite much evidence. (probably some bribe?). - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Office of Fair Trade == heard mandated mediocrity
- Carbito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Apple and Linux have already had their fair change over a decade ago. They both failed. End of story.
- blowdart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Of course you have to ask yourself where there is only one Office of Fair Trading.
Pointing out that the UK Office of Fair Trading has investigated Microsoft, on numerous occasions, including take overs and mergers would be childish wouldn't it? Because it would point out that the petition starts with a false premise. Why there's even a search box on the OFT's page; http://www.oft.gov.uk
Lame is a massive understatement. - blowdart, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You will find that the petition does refer to the UK OFT, after all the petition being started by a UK resident is a huge give away.
I was unaware the US government had a department refered to as the OFT.
The petition's premise is laughable (not to mention the wording, the assumption of why Apple moved to the Intel platform, why Apple have never gained market share, etc. etc.)
